That genie must be exhausted after performing the entire show. The energy he has is amazing! Went to see this theatre production yesterday in London and it was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone.
This was spectacular, the right man for the part of 🧞♂️ and I love how sings the other Disney songs, that was amazing 🤩, I bet Robin Williams is looking down and says he’s very proud.
Just saw this musical today in Memphis TN with my school choir!!! It was soooo amazing!!! Love the genie!!!!!!!💛💜💛💜💛 perfect guy and amazing vocals to everyone on the cast
Damn, yeah. I saw it last summer when I was in London. Fell in love, wish I could see again. (And the dang gift shop spot they had shoulda sold genie Hawaiian shirts)
fun fact! : If you've ever watched Helluva boss, The guy who's playing the genie Is also the guy who plays Ozmodious that is best friends with Fizzaroli ^^
AS LONG AS YOURE TALKING ABOUT THE UPCOMING LIVE ACTION ONE I AGREE BUT DONT YOU DARE DISRESPECT ROBIN WILLIAMS OK HE IS STILL THE ONE AND ONLY ORIGINAL GENIE
James Monroe Iglehart is the best Genie on Broadway. IMHO. Don’t get me wrong, Major Attaway and others were/are good. James Monroe Iglehart took the role of the Genie to a level that is almost Robin Williams’ level. Very very close.
Robin Williams never even danced. He couldn’t do half of this. He was just goofy and hyper. This guy has real talent and vocal ability, along with charisma
kirbyboy92 You gotta remember that the original recording done by Robin was a voice over for completely animated action and with cuts in between to rest. What James has to do is perform the full thing live and bring the genie to life. Also, there was an actual interview wherein they talked about the role and it was discussed that he was told straight out that he didn't and shouldn't try to mimic Robin Williams. So this isn't replacing Robin Williams, its a completely different medium of delivery, which frankly speaking, Robin wasn't trained and wouldn't be able to do.
Aladdin on broadway also started in 2011 before Robins death in 2014. That Genie even paid tribute to him on the stage the day after his death that included the audience to sing along “Friend Like Me”. It was really sweet. If ya get the chance to, go see them. It’s a great show.

Right I had reach out to him and he message back
I nearly cried when he started singing Friend Like Me. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch Aladdin since Robin Williams died
The sheer amount of effort the stage version brings with it is immaculate
James Monroe Iglehart should've been the live action Genie! He's SO good at performing The Genie!
Haven't watched the new Aladdin and no desire to because the only genies are James and Robin
@@theclimbingchef Just to say though, Will Smith is no Robin Williams, but he isn't half bad as the Genie either.
Love the breaking the fourth wall 😍😍
love when he sings the other disney songs :P
That part cracked me up so much when I saw it the day before yesterday lmao
that's the reason I googled this.
they picked the right guy for the genie
Unlike the live action
He shouldve been cast in the movie
Easily
This was spectacular, the right man for the part of 🧞♂️ and I love how sings the other Disney songs, that was amazing 🤩, I bet Robin Williams is looking down and says he’s very proud.
6:19 minutes of sheer magic, what a routine

It was spectacular to see this on Broadway
Excellent editing.
THIS IS AMAZING
we saw it live in Chicago and it was truely amazing
I saw this in London and I feel I didn't appreciate it enough at the time. I want to see it again but I can't :(
Damn, yeah. I saw it last summer when I was in London. Fell in love, wish I could see again. (And the dang gift shop spot they had shoulda sold genie Hawaiian shirts)
Freaking amazing!
Why is their choice for both Aladdin and Genie so much better than the ones in the live action movie?
fun fact! : If you've ever watched Helluva boss, The guy who's playing the genie Is also the guy who plays Ozmodious that is best friends with Fizzaroli ^^
I love this song😍💕💕
Thank you
I saw this in New Zealand, but it was bigger! It had more tricks and stage effects
oh my... I love this!
James Monroe Iglehart should be a shoo in for the genie in the film of Aladdin.
2 words: Will. Smith.
Update: It's Will Smith
see my ass is wondering how they do all those tricks like making Aladdin disappear and reappear in the box & the food on the table
that was cool! 😃
Does anybody know, which song starts at 3:56???
Colors of the Wind
He should have been cast as Genie for the movie...
DONT EVER SAY THAT THATS SO UNTRUE NO WAY ROBIN WILLIAMS WAS MEANT FOR THAT PART
AS LONG AS YOURE TALKING ABOUT THE UPCOMING LIVE ACTION ONE I AGREE BUT DONT YOU DARE DISRESPECT ROBIN WILLIAMS OK HE IS STILL THE ONE AND ONLY ORIGINAL GENIE
@@seanpeterson9649 Calm down. He was talking about the Live Action one...and he's right, he'd be leaps better than Will Smith was. xD;
adorei!!!!
wow
is that James iglehart?
Yes that is James Monroe Iglehart.
Don't know where he has the energy from. I'm tired just watching him jump around.

Which genie is this?
Finley Productions the original James Iglehart
Robin Williams will always be the best
Robin Williams never even danced. He couldn’t do half of this. He was just goofy and hyper. This guy has real talent and vocal ability, along with charisma
I die every time I watch this
Not all part this is.
Is that magior attaway or James monroe
Jay bird Life James Monroe
You'll never replace robin but this is a decent attempt, not bad at all.

Robin Williams made the role, this guy added his own spice to it. The result is a whole bunch of epic all around!

Hi please name black men ?
ali asgharzadeh ... what?
ali asgharzadeh think he means what's the name of the genie
ali asgharzadeh Wow well its James Monroe Iglehart
Robin Williams is the only one that can pull of the Genie
but i like this guy 😉
In an animated movie, of course! But this guy is also a pretty good take on Genie!
You do know homer did genie right
The show by itself is pretty bad but thankfully the genie carries the whole fucking thing on his own.
That was very fruity
FAKE
He's sads like Will Smith
He's. Bad
