It's a fantastic series, you should consider doing the entire run.
Glad you watched the episode, the 'racist' clip on YT is often cut missing him standing in front of their car. You should watch the whole series, its true comedy gold, very, very funny. 'Hell' is my favourite episode with them going on a rather disastrous caravan holiday. It contains the shows most famous joke.

The "racist" episode
Father Ted is one of the best comedy series.
"One of the best? Or maybe THE best?"
You’re right - the characters in the house are very weird. Mrs Doyle is the housekeeper who has to do all the work with very little thanks. She also over-does hospitality by offering cups tea to everyone whether they want it or not, often quite obsessively. Father Jack ( the one in the box) is elderly, almost always drunk, aggressive and lecherous. He very rarely says anything other than ‘feck’ ‘drink’ ‘arse’ and ‘girls’ and often does unusual things, presumably due to either senility, excessive alcohol or a bit of both. Dougal is naive, innocent and just very thick. Ted is the brains of the operation, but he’s been known to ‘allegedly’ misappropriate church funds and secretly harbours desires to live the high-life.
In the context of the rest of the series, and when you get to know the characters better, some of their odd behaviour starts to make a weird sort of sense.
THAT MONEY WAS RESTING IN HIS ACCOUNT
The priests were banished to that small island so they could do the least damage, they're all hopeless.
That money was just resting in Ted's account!

LOL. No. Get off Fox News. All their policies were classic right-wing authoritarian. They added the word socialist to the name of their party as a propaganda move since the rising left influence in Germany at the time was their biggest threat and they wanted to appeal to the masses. Their main enemies were bolsheviks and communists, their greatest allies were the fascist Mussolini and the fascist Franco.
Spoiler alert - the Democratic People's Republic of Korea isn't a democratic people's republic, but I'm sure Kim Jong-Un will be happy to know the tactic works
