MrBeast went on a $1,000,000,000 cruise ship to promote Icon of the Seas. Royal Caribbean doesn't want you to know, but this ship will have A LOT of problems. Don't waste your money!
If you go on a ship like this your objective probably isn’t to travel and see all kinds of exotic little towns it’s to experience the ship itself most people could care less about the excursion outside of the boat and just want to enjoy the activities on board
You also made a generalization about the entire ship based off one location (surf side) saying it’s a giant floating daycare. Royal Caribbean is targeted towards families with children so yes there will be childish components but there are also many things for adults on board as well. I believe there is literally an adult only pool.
Yep. Harmony of the Seas is the only cruise ship I've been on, and I feel like it is much more about the boat than the ports of call. As I'm normally a land-based traveller, I felt like I didn't get enough time in port so I was glad there was sooooo much to do on the ship. If I really wanted to experience the Bahamas, I would fly there and stay on the islands, but so far I haven't really developed a love for the Caribbean so don't feel like I missed out too much. Also, these Oasis and Icon ships are very much for families - and that's what they're already telling us the Icon is for, with more 3 and 4-berth cabins than their other ships. TBH If I had silly money, I'd have already booked it for my nephews.
Ironically i did not know anything about this cruiseship and after watching your video I’m now speechless just what me and my family need i think is a beautiful ship with lots to do i think royal caribbean hit it out of the park.
Buddy are you working for MSC!? 😅 Oasis class is the most successful class of all time. Ordered in a middle of a financial crisis in 2008, many thought Royal was taking a high risk with Oasis & Allure while being constructed in Finland. It just turned out to be the most innovative ships ever made. A truly game changer. So successful that, Royal decided to order a 3rd one and then a 4th, a 5th and this year a 6th, to fit other markets as well. And now, it's coming Icon, the most awaited class since 2009 and I'm sure it'll push boundaries in the industry once again. About not being able to sale into port Miami, please . . . the ship is 365 mts long and 65 wide, not much bigger than Oasis which is sailing in and out for more than a decade.
First points are irrelevant, obviously they make a ton of money. Every square foot is built for cost optimization and exploitation. I said if they get any wider. Obviously icon can sail into miami. Point is just making the ships bigger and bigger doesn't them better
@@vesselvibesmedia the real point is how come you can say that Icon or Oasis is a stupid idea if Royal made millions with it!! 😅 The class is a truly success over the years making even the competition trying hard to compete against, ordering ships with similar designs in a cheap look. Of course new rules must be adopted along the way to comply with environment issues like every other business activity. But that doesn't necessarily means that building big ships is bad. These type of classes are for enjoyment on board rather than going to small picturesque ports. The only thing I could agree with is that not the entire Icon class should be family oriented only. There's also costumers who'd love to go on vacation on a big ship without so many kids around. That's something that we'll see from Jan 2024 on what's people general reaction and if Royal will change something about it for the next upcoming Icon ships.
I’d say Icon of the seas is a unique ship, and you should’ve thought twice before saying what you said in the video, and Royal Caribbean might be watching bro 😂
A ship like this is a destination itself. Despite critics, is one of the wonders of the world. Never seen on history of cruise ships so many lounges, activities on board, options for dinner and inmense etc. Not designed for travel the all world (is so massibe, no fit in all ports) her design is most for a caribbean destinations. But the ship is a destination itself... a true floating city.
Do you need a hug 🤗 normally helps to calm my kids down when they go off on a rant! At the end of the day you book the ship that best meets your needs and the fact that the decor resembles an explosion in a sweet shop is clearly geared to families with children. I think it looks amazing and will keep even the most moaning of children entertained for the entire holiday. Happy children = happy parents 🥳 If you don't like children then book a different ship...its not rocket science!!
I have been cruising for years now . Either you love it or hate it . This guy takes hating to a whole new level . My personal experience. A cruise is what you make of it . Absolutely love cruising. This ship looks gorgeous
I dont really agree on a lot of what you say. Ive been on every single oasis class ship for a total of 8 cruises and have thoroughly enjoyed every single one. I have been on these ships at 95-100 percent capacity and overcrowding has never been an issue. The reason why I love these ships is because Royal Carribean makes the ship the destination as well. You could be on this ship for 8 days and still not do everything. I also think you missed the fact that the main goal for all cruise ships is to make money at the end of the day. So dont pick out Royal Carribean when you for sure know other companies are doing similar stuff. Also, you can't discredit Royal for moving the aqua theater on Icon because I have faced multiple cancellations due to weather and rough sea conditions on oasis class ships.
People go just because it's the biggest ship in the world. Biggest cruise ship in the world does not mean best cruise ship in the world. Of course, cruise lines need to make money. Point is many ships are going way over the top with cost optimization and it's blatantly obvious, ruining many aspects of cruising in ways they did not in the past. Also, the price for Icon is absolutely ridiculous compared to other options. You can even go on premium lines for a better price. Would you fly Spirit if Delta was the same price?
@@vesselvibesmedia EVERY cruise is more expensive right now... and yes, Icon is high right now BECAUSE of the high demand!! Ive been on 50+ cruises, on the 4x major cruise brands, and on ships of all sizes... and we prefer the Oasis class because it allows ua to cruise however we want, when we want. The bigger the ship, the more options you have to have the experience you want. Sure, newbies on the Oasis class are like lost children... But anyone with 1/2 a brain cell quickly figures out the ops patterns to stay out of crowds, or ahead of rhe crowded times... as you should on ANY ship. Ive had a great cruise on every Oasis class cruise... no matter if its 3x, 7x, or 14x days!!
@@gm6545 there are plenty of ships where you don't have to worry about planning for crowds. Yes, obviously hight demand = high price. That's the whole point, it's overhyped. Pretty much every ship has a better price that Icon right now. Would you fly Spirit if Delta were the same price?
@@vesselvibesmedia I've sailed on 30+ different ship classes.... and IMO none give you the options or awesome experience of an Oasis class ship. So far, nothing has come close... We shall see what the Icon and World America cruises are like. I have 12 cruises booked between now and Sept 2025.... everything from quick 3 day trip on the Radiance of the Seas, MSC Meraviglia, Allure of the seas, to 14 day transatlantic cruises on the Symphony, Oasis, and Oddessey. I'm not narrow minded, or call people stupid for what they like or dislike... and most definitely NOT make claims that a business thinks its customers are stupid for likeing amazing ships!
@@gm6545 Fair enough, thanks for watching! I am a fan of royal, eventually I'll try Icon. I don't think the problems with these ships are ever addressed though, not from the videos I've seen
What a great review…I love way you validate your knowledge and experience by the phrases of “who cares” and “so stupid”. You really convinced me that you know what you’re talking about. Sounds like a 10 year old having a temper. I’m a brand new cruiser and royal is genius for targeting new folks instead of “cruisers that should be offended”. Change is good and the new stuff is why royals stock price just keeps going higher…cause this is the stuff new people want. Get over yourself bro.
oh a hedge fund manager has entered the chat, thanks for the stock tip! RCL is loaded with debt and they were bailed out by the saudis during covid. But "they have new stuff"! You really convinced me that you know what you're talking about. Sounds like a 10 year old just found out what the stock market is.
Did Royal Caribbean pass you for a job? This video is way over the top. The ship hasn't even made it's first sailing yet. If you want to sail on a smaller ship there are plenty of other companies and ships to choose from. Another thing if the ship can't fit in the port they will park off shore and have a smaller ship tender you in. Relax it will be ok
I'm aware of tendering. Still can't go most places. Royal sells it as bigger = better and that's ridiculous, especially given the price. Also ship's ugly af
Yeah, he saying all that crap for RUclips I was just on a cruise in December and on serenade of the seas and they still have to dock offshore and we had to get a water taxi
Interesting video. I just got off of the Wonder, and getting 7000 people on and off was very smooth. The Icon only holds 700 more passengers, so I don't see this as a problem. What I see as a problem with Icon is the price, double the Wonder cost. I love to cruise the big ships, but paying double is crazy. And now I am a senior, and we have Already done all the shore excursions and just enjoy a nice meal, some entertainment and a good nights sleep. Cruising is what you make it. And I am not stupid.
Stop cruising and save the ocean. There is no need for humans to be building ships this big, it’s ridiculous, stop supporting this ludicrous behaviour.
We should be offended it exists? I'm offended by your choice of font. I can't take anyone seriously who uses a child's handwriting in all caps as their chosen font and yells their entire video in monotone.
How crowded depends on the time of year, and time of day... only a newbie books a cruise during a holiday, summer, or when kids are out of school! 😂😂 Experienced cruisers learn the ops tempo of the cruise ships... both when to book, and even times of day various venues get crowded... and you stay ahead of the crowds. The sheep stay with the herd! Lol
@@gm6545 sheep pay 4x for a crowded cruise ship just bc it's the biggest one in the world. Sheep don't understand that there are better options with higher quality, better vibes, for better prices
Everyone is drunk and partying and having fun the colors just make it more fun when you’re partying also we ain’t going on the titanic idk why this guy want us to be formal and shit
So, you actually just sold the cruise ship to me. I LIKE many of the features you said. I love the colors. I won't even go on the boring monotoned colors. Your whole video is subjective.
I'm booked on Icon and Utopia. Can't wait. I love these big ships. I don't feel they are crowded at all. I love all the activities, restaurants, and shows. I definitely don't cruise for destination. I cruise to enjoy the ships.
Nice! Was thinking of doing this too bc I live in Florida. I was debating on the Wonder but I’m thinking doing the Icon a week then can hit up the utopia for a weekend deal at another time next year since it’ll be newer than the wonder anyway
@@vesselvibesmediaI think his point is you broad statement many times that " RCL thinks your stupid"... Thats not an opinion, but an actionable statement.
I really don’t get your beef with Oasis class ships and trying to convince experienced cruisers which know what they are in for that Oasis class or larger suck. I and many other cruise lovers ONLY sail on large ships and calling people in that perfered category stupid is just plain childish.
Just saying:the point of oasis and icon class ships arnt mainly for the views and exotic areas, it’s for the enjoyment and the activities onboard, if you want to see amazing locations and stuff, those ships do exist! But oasis and icon are for enjoyment and families. Now about icon of the seas and most likely the vessels in her class for the foreseeable future the fact that you call the family neighbourhood a daycare just points out how colourful it is, it’s colourful and like that since it’s for family, also the aqua dome performers are trained and everything. And the pools will also have clorine and all that, the WHOLE perpose of icon is for the enjoyment and families, I will admit it’s so overcrowded and a fun fact: carnival celebration and a few other new giants are also overcrowded. But the whole point isn’t that and people mainly won’t care, it’s all about the enjoyment, this is not hate btw, and if u wanna explore the world there is other ships out there! Anyways have a good day/night/afternoon/evening :)
And it prolly won’t be as crowded as we think bcz if the ships that big it’s gonna have LOADS of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, so many others, not just one or 2, you’d find loads of each, I get how u think it would be overcrowded just bcz it’s giant doesn’t mean it’ll be overcrowded, the ship is kinda overpriced also, in uk money it’ll cost around 150 pounds per person per night which if I combined my entire family it would be 1.2k pounds (without buying drinks packages or anything just the cruise fare on its own) (money pounds not weight) and that’s cheaper than most other holidays I’ve seen but it’s for only the cruise fare but everything else would be rlly pricey and 1.2k is probaly enough for a inside cabin, on other cruises it would probaly get u a suite (not a giant one just a slightly more spacious cabin with a larger balcony) but I get your points, although if u have the money it’ll be worth is honestly
@@Sadakoyammamura2000 lots of good points, agreed. Point about price though, it's not necessarily a question of whether someone has the money. It's why would you pay these prices for this product? No way I'm flying Spirit if Delta is the same price
Part one: beginning Part two: Oasis sucks Part three: Humanity summed up Part four: icon sucks Part five: Hull to superstructure hating time (it looks fine) Part six: Attraction hating time Part seven: small rant about mr beast Part eight: conclusion Part nine: The end In my conclusion, you either don’t like ships or you don’t like ships, want a decent looking ship you say? Go spend $8,000 for a Disney Dream-Class cruise- oh? You say Disney is a manipulative company? Then suck it up, no ship is gonna be perfect. (Accept Olympic-Class ships)
the bigger are the ship the less cost the ticket. Practically they build big because it's more economic due to fuel efficiency. The thing is that at 1billion dollars it can carry little over 7k guests at double capacity (which I don't think happens often) while other big size ships can do it 6.2k so not much more. I personally don't like it but economically make sense and it create the foundation for cheap cruises in the carabbean so not bad. I still prefer MCS Cruises.
Notice how all of the comments are against you? Its because everything you've said here is wrong except for the fact that they made the hull tighter than everything above it which gives the ship more oppertunities to go to more places which is great
I'm too obsessed with ship wreck videos to ever get on a cruise. But I gotta say, the barbie dream boat rainbow colors are actually incredibly appealing to me. But I hate crowds. So it's not happening.
For a good portion of the video I thought he was kidding. I guess not. Few things: When did Mr Beast mention Icon of the Seas? Leave Jimmy outta this. And duh it can't go to everywhere, not only do you see what places you go before you book, but when booking something like this, the general plan is to stay on the ship rather then see the locations. I'm scheduled to go on Harmony of the Seas in March and we actually aren't going to do everything I wanted to do on land because there's just so much on the ship! Also, how is it going to injure dolphins when they can swim faster? These mega ships Top out at about 30 knots while Dolphins can hit 37+, and they're not making those ports solely for Royal, most of the time not only are they shared with other cruise lines, but the ports were already there. It also wont essentially be more crowded as the ship will be bigger. It might even be less crowded as the newer ships are designed to spread out the crowds by spreading entertainment better than smaller ships. And would you want your state room to not reach out and be smaller? The ships have lots of attractions in the middle forcing this design. And why are you complaining about the narrow hull? You were just complaining about how it can't fit into anything! they obviously can tell. And hey, I'm down for more shops and bars! Take my money! I'm trying to enjoy it and at that point there better be a lot of stuff for what I payed for just the stateroom. And of course it'd be colorful! It's a family cruise line! When did a little color hurt you? And while I don't, obviously lots of people care about that waterfall. That was one of the most popular things on the Oasis class. And if you didn't know, Royal is one of the most cut throat lines out there when it comes to chair hogs. You might not get one in the very front row but you definitely will get a good seat. Once again with the ice rink, obviously people cared on the Oasis class. Guess a little more than a few, but cmon man.
mrbeast mentioned icon in $1,000,000,000 yacht video. I just don't like the design choices Royal makes with bigger & fatter ships. Harmony sounds like a blast! Hope you have a great time and let us know it is!
The idea of a Big ship full of features is that you dont need to leave the ship ... it's not about world exploration, its about enjoying a floating resort 🤦♂️
I agree, went on harmony of the seas. Nothing but lines for those water slides and the surf things. 6000 people way too many, at the end we all are on our nerves.@@vesselvibesmedia
@@vesselvibesmedianot true. Me and my wife just did a 7 day cruise on wonder of the seas in August which happened to be at full capacity. We had a great time. Did not feel like it was over 7k people on the ship because there was so much to do and everything was so spread out that we never experienced any crazy crowds or wait times. Maybe instead of hating from outside the club, you should give it a fair shot, might change your whole perspective
Booking opened for this ship and broke all records, profit is the main objective of any company. Port size is the only size constraint for a ship and that can be overcome with tendering, expect even bigger ships in the future.
Wow, I can see how you get your views, just call everything stupid with no references or even truth. I've been on Allure while at full capacity...it felt empty. In fact we were surprised when they said the ship was at max capacity with every bed on board booked. And I hate crowds. Actually the ships can go a lot of places. Most ports in the western Caribbean are more than big enough to handle it. She has a draft of 30' which is almost 10' shallower than older ocean liners and modern day super tankers and container ships. There is no evidence of wake killing dolphins, and most cruise ships stick to pre-made channels. Ports routinely dredge...ALL PORTS, not just those for cruise ships, and since the reefs are why the people are there, ports aren't going to dump sand on them. In fact most sand is used to shore up beaches or help build out ports. The Oasis class does fit through the Panama canal (Dimensions of an Oasis L: 1181,B:154,D:30.5, Panama Canal:L: 1201, B:168',D:50'), and they can fit through the Suez, which Royal already sends ships through. You know what I'd have to make an entire video to over turn you, but the last thing I'll hit is the cabins. Look again, you can see that its the balcony's the overhand the ship, and the lifeboats for that matter. Also, nice description of capitalism.
can't fit through panama canal due to height restriction. There has obviously been plenty of construction and digging up seabed to make ports larger for massive ships. Cabins clearly extend over side of ship to maximize capacity, and yes, capitalism.
Have you gone on this ship yet to come to your conclusion???? Just wondering since you are so strong with your opinion. I personally have not yet been on any ships to speak but am planning on to in the future and looking for good information and experiences from others.
I used the feel the same way about these huge ships and mid-level cruise lines. I was spoiled by Seabourne. However I went on the Allure of the Seas out of Galveston last year and we had a blast. Food and rooms were good and never felt crowded. I was pleasantly surprised.
It really depends on what you’re looking for in a ship. It is widely known that if you’re looking to got to more exotic destinations the show that you will be on is going to be the smaller older ships. If you care more about the amenities that the ship offers then you’re going to be limited to the Caribbean destinations. This is just a well known fact. So I honestly don’t get the reason why you mention this .
Mr. Stupid?? I think the person doing this video is actually the stupid one!!! Obviously he has not cruised on the Icon and is making all his statements based on his assumptions. I am writing this from experience on the Icon, not made up assumptions. We sailed on the Icon 3 weeks ago and about the only thing in this video I can agree with is the cost of the cruise being more expensive than many others. We knew that ahead of time and we were willing to pay for the experience, and glad we did. It's simple, if you want to pay less, go on another ship. Not hard to figure out. This is currently a case of supply and demand and RCL is in business to make money. Just like anything else, if there is a bigger demand than there is a supply, the price will be higher. We took the cruise, with Icon at nearly capacity, and on spring break. We are a middle age couple traveling by ourselves. We have cruised roughly 30 previous cruises of all different size ships. At no time did we feel there were long lines for everything, nor did we feel crowded. Not anymore crowded than on much smaller ships we have been on. Other ships may be smaller with less people but this one is larger with more people. The only time we felt it may have been busier was the day everyone was boarding, with their wide eyes and excitement to be onboard. Otherwise, I didn't feel there was any day during the week that we could feel it was crowded. As far as thrill island and the water park, all I can say is that all the kids/young people, seemed to really be having fun and enjoying themselves. And isn't that what they took the cruise for anyway?? Concerning it being crowded around the pools, every ship we have ever been on is the same way no matter the size. The weather is nice and people want to be around the pool enjoying the sun. That is nothing exclusive to the Icon so what are you saying?? This one has more pools to accommodate more people but it was no more, or no less, crowded than on other ships. The Icon can't go into small ports because of the size? It wasn't built to go into small ports. There are already other smaller ships that serve that purpose. Central park was actually really nice, and not crowded. We have been on 2 other Oasis class ships with Central Park and they have all been very nice and relaxing. There are several restaurants there to enjoy as well as plenty of seating to just relax and watch people, if nothing else. Lines at the buffet and restaurants?? There might have been lines on the boarding day at the buffet, we didn't go there, but it has always has been that way on boarding day on all ships. We probably ate at least one meal a day in the buffet and never had any of your "so called lines". The way the Icon buffet is set up, they have various stations, instead of one line for everyone to get in. This of course allows things to be spread out and not crowded. They also have 2 identical sides to the buffet, at times one side is open, other times both sides are open. Depends on how many people need to be accommodated. Lines at restaurants?? Have you even cruised before Mr. Stupid? You have reservations and dining times are pre set so why would there be lines? The only short line we saw was at the dining room before they open the doors for a specific dining time. Some people like to wait until the doors open and as soon as they do, people go inside to their assigned tables. No problems. At specialty restaurants, you also have a reserved time so no wait. Aquadome shows, ice skating shows and stage shows, Wizard of Oz, were all the best and top quality performers. Much better quality than on many of the smaller ships we have been on. For these, you also have a reservation but if you don't, they open it to anyone 20 minutes before the show starts. There wasn't one single show that didn't have some seats right at show time so there would not have been any problem getting in. Mention was made of the various colors and decorating around the ship. We didn't see anyplace that wasn't looking very attractive and appealing. Certainly not gaudy at all. As far as we are concerned, we had a great cruise on the Icon and were glad we decided to take it. The ship is very beautiful, all the crew was outstanding, the food and entertainment was great and we would certainly give it a thumbs up. For those that would like to be on a smaller, more intimate cruise that goes to smaller ports, this would not be the ship for you but there are other ships that do serve that market. If you are considering the Icon, I would suggest disregarding Mr. Stupid's review because he really doesn't know what he is talking about.
wow, this was definitely a different type video. i thought that i would love to cruise on an icon or oasis class ship, but sadly they will never come to australia, so the quantum class will be the biggest we have here, im actually cruising on quantum of the seas in march, it will be our first RCCL ship that we have cruiised on, so im really looking forward to it :) i personally love the bright colors that icon will have all around the ship, better than that horrible dark brown wood that so many ships have. but i guess each to there own and i respect your opinion :)
obviously all ships are built to make money. It's the exploitative qualities of icon that are problematic. I wouldn't buy a Pontiac if it were the same price as a Porsche. Icon is way overpriced for the product
@@vesselvibesmedia If people like this product better, then its not overpriced. I think most of your points were based around your own personal likes and dislikes. Which may differ from others. I won't complain, i admit that icon will be the largest CRUISE Ship in the world. But not the largest ship ever built. For example, Evergreen. I know this is off topic but I just wanted to say it.
@@vesselvibesmediaYeah. But it still doesn't come to the largest ship ever built. And its not Evergreen, its Prelude FLNG owned by shell. I know its not a ship, but more like a floating facility. But its still cool thinking how big objects at sea can get. Cool vid btw!
@@OrdinaryX-i5v The largest ship ever (excluding the Prelude as you mentioned) were the Batillus class supertankers at 275000 grt. They will soon be surpassed by newer container ships.
Ok why go to exotic locations when the ships are once in a lifetime locations as well. My man, that’s how cruise ships work these days. People don’t care about exotic locations on big ships like these. If you wanted to go on an exotic adventure, oh well. That’s your fault
Fair enough, I'm not big on some "authentic" experience in a remote town. After all it's all tourism and the locals don't want you there anyway. The more remote it is, the more the locals don't want you there (in general). However, it's still pathetic that they'll never go to the pacific ocean. Oasis & larger can only go to a few ports in the caribbean or mediterranean. It's like having an RV the size of your house. Dumb design because can't actually do what it's meant to do: explore.
@@vesselvibesmedia Alright, that's fair too. It would be nice if they could go to smaller ports. Still, it's not meant to go to exotic ports. I'm not saying all cruise ships can't go there whether big or small. It's mainly the 2 ship classes you stated; Icon Class and Oasis Class that can't go to smaller ports. But just like Icon Class, Oasis Class ships are built to be a destination themselves. That would briefly make up for being overcrowded by everyone trying to get to the Taj Mahal.
@@vesselvibesmedia Actually the mega ships CAN sail in the pacific. In fact the Wonder of the Sea was built specifically for the Asian / pacific market. It ended up not going there because of the pandemic, and the North America and European cruise markets opened first.... Also, cruise ships port in ports that can handle the number of people on the ship, not specifically the physical size of the ship. Ships can always tender the passengers to the shore, if a pier is not possible... BUT, the island/town has to have the ability to absorb the number of passengers on the ship with restauants, bars, shopping, tours, etc. Ohh, and as for the comments of "locals don't want the tourists".... that is a complete ignorant statement. Ask the caribbean island what they thought when the cruise industryy was shutdown during the pandemic... every island depends on tourism and cruise ships for 80% + of their entire economy!!
Take my money. Cruises that are fun makes cruising between destination not seem like an eternity is what most people want. Simply put it is a floating hotel, bar, restaurant and entertainment.
No wonder ritz carlton yatch collection is literally that a yatch small ships that can sail anywhere you want. The suites are also very comfortable but the price is just crazy .
It’s true. But cruise ships cannot actually kill Sea-Life in the Pacific or in the Atlantic oceans. It’s to scary to tell viewers that cruise ships are dangerous to go on & THATS incorrect. I even contacted Vessel Vibes about this. He needs to stop!
Money. Which is hilarious bc Royal is loaded with debt. Sail on Freedom class today. They're in bad shape and both Liberty & Freedom are overdue for dry dock by several years. Seems like Royal is strapped for cash bc of massive debt burden from all these massive ships.

@@vesselvibesmedia.... Its crazy you seem to have NO CLUE what the cruise line industry is, how they stay in business, or that there was a pandemic that shut them down for 18mths.... They also track which ships are most popular... and try to stay ahead of their competition in new innovative features and entertainment.
1. Ports can be reached by tender; not everyone is interested in every single port. 2. How crowded it gets depends on the floor area in the public areas 3. See the USNs Nimitz class carriers whose deck is twice was wide as the hull at waterline. 4. These are meant to be mobile amusement parks, hence all the attractions.
All cruise lines are building bigger ships to some extent, if you havent noticed. All cruiselines use "gimmicks." I love how you're slandering a single cruiseline and the people who cruise with Royal while opening yourself up to lawsuits. Keep it going, bud!
I really prefer a smaller ship, the largest ship I've sailed on was the Carnival Vista and in my experience it was too crowded and you never had the opportunity to see and do everything the ship had to offer and that ship is considerably smaller than the Harmony and Icon. The huge size only benefits the company not the cruiser. Bigger isn't always better, I'm sure it's ideal for a lot of people just not for me.
You actually might be surprised, we were. Oasis class has an amazing layout and very well thought out planning so that it really never felt crowded. The way they have section the ship into different areas really makes it feel like you were on a smaller ship in the best ways, and a bigger ship for all the amenities. On our last cruise on Harmony we were with a group of 20 and there were times we would have entire venues to ourselves.
Okay,at the beginning i agreed with you but STUPID is really too much.... I mean they make money like this and others are falling for it.If you dont wanna sail with them, then just dont.
The bottom is made out of heavy steel, and the top is made out of lighter aluminum. Besides, these things will do anything to avoid going through a storm, extra days at sea, extra days in port, even skip a port all together.

In all honesty, I just got off oasis of the seas and it was everything he said about this ship. Lines, lines, and more lines. It was a beautiful ship, but too much like a mall. Maybe I would consider going in the off-season for a good price, but other than that I’m moving cruise lines.

Ok, you bring up some pretty good points here. In the last couple of minutes I've been going through the comment section and seeing that a lot of people just stick to what you said about the experience and criticize it. But for example no one mentioned what you said about harming the environment and destroying natural habitats. Ok, which vehicle doesn't do that nowadays? But that's exactly the point. I still can't believe how we can care so little about this topic. I don't know where it started but nowadays what everyone teaches us is that the only thing that matters is money and everything else is childish. You know, like caring about any form of art, actually wanting to enjoy life, wanting to proctect the environment and stuff like that... Just grow up, stop dreaming and go to work! Pathetic... I think that's the most infuriating about wanting to build bigger ships for "more money", while they think everything else is secondary. HOWEVER, I'm sorry but I also want to point out that a lot of your points here are simply subjective. What if someone does care about the biggest waterfall? What if someone doesn't give a sh** about how colorful the ship is and just wants to enjoy the ride? What if crowdedness doesn't bother someone and they still get the experience they wanted? And most people don't go on cruise ships to visit exotic places but simply to be on the cruise ship. So I'm sorry but as long as an arguement is based not on facts but on someones opinion, it loses it's value as an arguement. But yeah... these ships aren't famous for their eco-friendliness... so that's the main thing I wanted to focus on in this comment. That's the main reason I hate them.
This is how I feel. I just got off Odyssey earlier this year and I LOVED the colors, literally to the point that I won't go on a boring monotoned colored ship. I felt on vacation. I also love the crowds. I work from home and never see people. All the people gave me so much energy and excitement. I had not cruised since I was a kid and I HATED that cruise ship... in fact... it had all the boring aspects that this video creator seems to think is good? I don't know. Odyssey had the colors, the entertainment, the flash and I FELT it. It felt almost Disney level detail. I loved it so much I am now convinced I am a cruise person, and considering I live in the middle of a very landlocked state 13 hours from the nearest cruise port, that says something.
I'm there for the cruise. Not as much the destination. Love Royal Caribbean's big ships. Food is great, it's not too crowded. Stop complaining. Carnival, Virgin, and Norwegion suck. Icon is sold out of it's first sailing. Loved Oasis, and Quantum. Can't wait.
Not complaining, stating that it's overpriced for the experience. MSC is great. And for the a better price than Icon you can go premium: celebrity, holland america, princess, oceania, plenty of others. Bigger is not better

Oasis class is the most successful class of all time.

Now about icon of the seas and most likely the vessels in her class for the foreseeable future
the fact that you call the family neighbourhood a daycare just points out how colourful it is, it’s colourful and like that since it’s for family, also the aqua dome performers are trained and everything.
And the pools will also have clorine and all that, the WHOLE perpose of icon is for the enjoyment and families, I will admit it’s so overcrowded and a fun fact: carnival celebration and a few other new giants are also overcrowded. LOADS of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, so many others, not just one or 2, you’d find loads of each, I get how u think it would be overcrowded just bcz it’s giant doesn’t mean it’ll be overcrowded, the ship is kinda overpriced also, in uk money it’ll cost around 150 pounds per person per night which if I combined my entire family it would be 1.2k pounds (without buying drinks packages or anything just the cruise fare on its own) (money pounds not weight) and that’s cheaper than most other holidays I’ve seen but it’s for only the cruise fare but everything else would be rlly pricey and 1.2k is probaly enough for a inside cabin, on other cruises it would probaly get u a suite (not a giant one just a slightly more spacious cabin with a larger balcony) but I get your points, although if u have the money it’ll be worth is honestly

When did a little color hurt you? And while I don't, obviously lots of people care about that waterfall. That was one of the most popular things on the Oasis class. And if you didn't know, Royal is one of the most cut throat lines out there when it comes to chair hogs. You might not get one in the very front row but you definitely will get a good seat. Once again with the ice rink, obviously people cared on the Oasis class. Guess a little more than a few, but cmon man.

Thank you for sharing! Will eventually try Icon and it'll be a great time!
Wow!!! You just made me want to book a trip. Thanks for showing the ship and some of the amenities. 😊

@@Brothernoahbuilttheark That's what they're built for $$$$$🤷♂
@@vesselvibesmedia Actually the mega ships CAN sail in the pacific.

@@vesselvibesmediaBruh the Disney wish isn’t even that big. I could call it small and no one would be mad at me 💀💀💀
I thought most of these big ships had tender boats to ferry people to smaller ports where big ships would not fit
Tendering on a ship with 7k passengers will be a disaster
