I played this back-to-back with the Commodore C16 Plus 4 version. This version of the game has 2 extra sections that the C16 version lacks; avoiding Blind Pew (and his doppelgänger friends...) and some weird section that involves leaping around the inside the of the ship while not getting caught by buccaneers.
The actual island section of the game is identical to the C16 version apart from slightly worse sprites and muted colours.
    Enjoy!

Well, the ultimate goal would be to score 100% by collecting all the tat lying around the island (cheese, skeletons, a key...) and killing all the pirates, so there must be some kind of "golden path" to achieving this. Buggered if I can be arsed to figure that out though ;D

What on earth did they do to this version of the game??? The plus/4 version is better in everyway, which is odd as normally the c64 versions are far better as it has hardware sprites etc, where as teh commodore plus/4 version does not. Still great video, but that took me by surprise :p

      Was thinking the same.

The sprites in the C64 version have been ported directly from the Spectrum version by the looks of it, hence their monochromatic look :) A rushed conversion maybe?

One thing I have noticed though, is on the plus/4 version of the game when the captain chases you at the end, its slows down whenever he is on the screen, I always thought it was meant to be like that till I saw the c64 version, now I am thinking the plus/4 simply could not handle the 2 spites at once :p Still the plus4 is the better version by a long shot.

Hmm, looks virtually identical to Willow Pattern Adventure, minus the in-game music.

    The Intro MUSIC! ❤

Commodore 16s intro music is better, which makes no sense..

The seemed to spend far much more time and effort on the plus/4 version, its so much better than the c64 verison, its not even close really. The c64 version look smore like a spectrum.

The plus 4 version is 100 times better
