    Kugoo Kirin S1 Pro is among the most affordable electric scooters which can fold and have frint and rear suspension. Being priced just above $300 it is a great alternative to the basic Xiaomi Scooter series and has quite interesting advantages.
    We've tested it for two weeks and here's what we found out about it (just watch! :-) )

      IPx5 is good enough for a scooter, x5 means it can be splashed from any direction at lowish pressure without being damaged.

    Today I reached 400km with my scooter and by far its going very good and smoothly. The only disadvantages is the electric brakes and while walking in roads with rocks the front spring makes some noise and the rear plastic also touches the wheel and makes noise.

    Today i got this scooter . I also have first version of same model (kugoo kirin s1) Compared to first version the build quality is better and the ridd is smoother and the rear shock apsorber improves much ride quality. The only minus is the electric brake which is much less powerfull then in first generation. Is it possible to adjust the power of the brake ?

    The power downs that you are experiencing with the scooter is related to the motor controller

    It's a good budget option with some attractive specs on paper, price, weight, compact size and good battery are very likeable but some drawbacks like no proper mechanical brakes and weak 36V 300w motor are deal breakers for me and so the search for a good budget escooter continues. What you think this vs a ninebot kick e22 vs mi scooter essential? The small batteries of these alternatives are a weak point but maybe an overall better package/value for money

Perhaps I've mentioned it before - but if I need to choose something for the first time, or make an important choice, I open a new Excel file, write down 5-10 priorities, and then put a score to each of the shortlisted models so that at the end - the choice becomes easy,
      Still - ti give an answer - I'll probably go for the Mi Scooter because of the many spare parts that are easy to find.

      2E? The scooter has really small problem, you should always be sure that the acceleration control is completely returned up - learn to return it up by small preasure from down. This is important when the cruise control activates, because otherwise the control with some shake can turn off cruise control, which is not pleasant and potentially danger. And the 2nd impact is that if the accelerate control is not in the proper position when you turn the scooter on, it will display 3E. No need to restart. Just move the acceleration control properly up.

    Having a kugoo kirin s1 pro myself, I can say this review is a little poorly made and some points don't correspond to reality. Some information regarding battery and top speed is wrong. Battery is 36v 7.5ah, not 42v and top speed can be easily changed to match the 25km/h legal max speed with 6 clicks on main button.
    With 5 kilos less than the video autor (90kg - 85kg), I tested that emergency braking at max speed is about 4 meters and not 7, even in my downhill braking tests it goes for less than 7 meters ( light downhill ).
    Solid tires are for sure less comfortable, but, because of the suspension, driving feel and comfort is superior to other escooters in the same segment with only pneumatic tyre and no suspension.
    I can confirm the down sides refering to hill climbing and lack of stem adjusting, even tho it feels comfortable to me (1.85meters), I think that to tall riders it will not.
    The rest of the video is very good, nice editing and filming, good job in thar department.

      I have the opportunity to ride the scooter my self from time to time. To be honest it’s not the best choice even in its class.
      Don’t get me wrong it is ok for children when accompanied and there is an easily accessible option to set the speed limit but not exactly comfortable for an adult.
      I tested the electrical braking and did it for a little bit more than 7m. I weigh 95kg so I am the heaviest so far that has commented :) I am 1.90m and the handle is in a discomfort position for me.
      The space for my feet is kind of narrow as well.
      But hey, it got me to the shop and back!

    • @PirukaDrums
      @PirukaDrums 2 года назад

      @@x3mera it seems that 1.90m its already to high for this scooter, I agree. I don't agree its only for children, I guess in your country every adult is 1,90m+ and 90+kg haha.
      Minus 5cm handlebar height than xiaomi mi 3 ( adult scooter), similar continuos power and battery capacity (max peak power has considerably less 480w to 600w) wich is noticeable going uphill with heavier people. So you might consider the xiaomi 3 a kids scooter as well?
      Regarding braking, It's weird that you're getting more than 7 meters like the video autor, my opinion is that you guys might not know how to properly brake because it doesn't make sense getting 3 meters more than a 5 to 10kg lighter person. I might be wrong (physics wise) but my braking tests in asphalt* gave me way better results, so, no offense, but you guys probably are scared to push the brakes xD.
      This scooter is a very capable last mile option with less maintenance than other already low.maintenance scooters. Its more oriented to lighter ( lighter than 80kg, preferably 75kg, my 85kg are already too much for steeper hills, but i had a friend with 73kg doing the same hills) and smaller ( smaller than 1.85m) adults, wich is perfectly fine because the other options in the segment can't get me uphill without loosing speed anyway, must upgrade to 500w+.
      This is not a kids scooter, no scooter that achieves 30km/h with an adult on top of it is. Unless you are trying to say kids - younger generation of teens and young adults (15 -25 years).

    • @PirukaDrums
      @PirukaDrums 2 года назад +4

      @@x3mera oh I only now noticed that you said electrical brake, if you only braked with electrical brake, the 7 meters make sense. But the escooter also has the mechanical brake, and it is supposed to be used with the electric brake for maximum braking power.
      Extra edit: the rear suspension is adjustable and I found that for heavier people you get a more comfortable and less noisy ride if you tighteen it a bit according to your weight.

      @@PirukaDrums It is quite possible that I don’t know how to use the scooter properly. I never use the emergency brake, so this proves that. I read manuals and watch videos but unlike you and Michael I am just a noob so it was an opinion based on couple of rides experience.

It sais it can go 30km, but I could go maximaly around 25km, If you want to buy it, you shouldnt be more than 90-100kg. The Suspension is Very good and you can jump from about 20-30cm or more, but you shouldnt more than 90kg(it could rub the underside) and its Water resistent( I washed it couple times and it was under rain).
