@Samael Well, if old romanian hadn't been influenced by Slavic people primarily, it wouldn't have sounded the way it sounds today, but more like Italian. ☺ Aromanian, which is a dialect of Romanian, sounds more like archaic Romanian (because that's exactly what it is) with Greek, Albanian and even more Turkish influences.

Mirka, I know these are old videos but I hope you see this comment. Firstly, I love that you divided these up. I saw your Asian one and Slavic one and it's funny because I divided my favs into lists like these too. I also had a "Germanic" one and then had to lump "Other European" into its own list. But I just wanted to say that for the flags, when it's a broad area, sometimes there are other flags you can use. For instance, for Latin American Spanish, you could use the Flag of Hispanic Heritage (has three purple crosses). In your other video for Arabic, you could use the Flag of the Arab League (green flag with crescent and the name written in Arabic). Just a suggestion. :)
I don't really think our brazilian Elsa is that bad. There are worse, I think. She just doesn't fits the character very well, but Taryn Szpilman isn't bad at all. For me, it's like the italian version. A very good voice which doesn't fits the character very well. :) By the way, I still prefer the portuguese version. It's the best romanic version and in this video she sings my favourite parts

It's okay, I'm Brazilian and I disgust our Elsa's voice too. I think is not just the language but the voice timbre (or something like this, i'm not a singer) isn't like the others singers. In my opinion the European language is nicely to hear too, like the Spanish from Spain, the Portuguese from Portugal and the English from England is much better than from USA.

I loved this. Hearing a really nice song with the same language family makes it really special. But you know what would be cool? If you had put all flags that has a language as official, like the case of latin american spanish, with the flags of all latin america (except for brazil (portuguese), Guyana (english), Surinam (dutch), Guyane (French) and Belice (between english and spanish).

Mirka, I know these are old videos but I hope you see this comment. Firstly, I love that you divided these up. I saw your Asian one and Slavic one and it's funny because I divided my favs into lists like these too. I also had a "Germanic" one and then had to lump "Other European" into its own list.
But I just wanted to say that for the flags, when it's a broad area, sometimes there are other flags you can use.
For instance, for Latin American Spanish, you could use the Flag of Hispanic Heritage (has three purple crosses). In your other video for Arabic, you could use the Flag of the Arab League (green flag with crescent and the name written in Arabic).
Just a suggestion. :)

I don't really think our brazilian Elsa is that bad. There are worse, I think. She just doesn't fits the character very well, but Taryn Szpilman isn't bad at all. For me, it's like the italian version. A very good voice which doesn't fits the character very well. :)
By the way, I still prefer the portuguese version. It's the best romanic version and in this video she sings my favourite parts

Lo siento pero es que la versión de Brasil no lo hizo muy bien y entre el español y el portugués quedó mejor la versión de español latino y también pienso que entre el portugués de Brasil y el de Portugal me gustó por mucho la versión de Portugal

It's okay, I'm Brazilian and I disgust our Elsa's voice too. I think is not just the language but the voice timbre (or something like this, i'm not a singer) isn't like the others singers.
In my opinion the European language is nicely to hear too, like the Spanish from Spain, the Portuguese from Portugal and the English from England is much better than from USA.

I loved this. Hearing a really nice song with the same language family makes it really special.
But you know what would be cool? If you had put all flags that has a language as official, like the case of latin american spanish, with the flags of all latin america (except for brazil (portuguese), Guyana (english), Surinam (dutch), Guyane (French) and Belice (between english and spanish).

7. European Portuguese - From here I like them all, Ana I love you but others are better
6. Romanian - Lovely version , certainly the most fitting to me
5. French - she has a very good voice, although it annoys me a bit
4. Latin Spanish - Idk this is growing every day, she is one of the bests singers in the video
3. Castilian Spanish - I like her a lot + she is fitting + she sounds happy
2. Italian - I can't put her in first place because she is way too old but she sounds very good
1. Catalan - I did not expect her to win but her performance is so addictive and what I love about her is that optimistic way to sing
