SUMMARIES:
- Created in 1961, you probably know this mascot by his advertisements’ famous catchphrase: “Sorry, Charlie!”
- Buzz has since returned to Honey Nut Cheerios’ boxes, adding his customary dollop of honey to some otherwise ordinary Cheerios.
- Although the cereal was introduced in 1963, Cap’n Crunch himself was born on March 11, 1943, on Crunch Island in the Sea of Milk-a magical place with talking trees, creatures and a whole mountain (Mt. Crunchmore) made out of mysterious Cap’n Crunch cereal.
- the Jolly Green Giant wasn’t always so jolly. In 1928, when he first emerged as the mascot of the brand, he looked very little like he does today.
- Since 1963, Chiquita Bananas has had the “First Lady of Fruit” on their iconic blue labels.
- In 2006, Planter’s Peanuts gave the public the option to vote on whether a bowtie, cufflinks or a pocket watch should be added to the mascot, but the majority actually voted for no change!
- Cheesasaurus Rex was an orange tyrannosaurus rex, very appropriately named by America’s youth at the time.
- By 1970, the brand had stopped airing commercials featuring Frito Bandito and eventually retired the character for good in 1971.
- Chef Boyardee sells canned and microwavable pasta products such as spaghetti, beefaroni, ravioli, lasagna, pizza and sauces, and others.
- The Quaker Man was the first registered trademark for breakfast cereal in America.

Hey there, BabbleTop!!! For most of these mascots, I had basically forgotten about most of them until reminded by this video. The most memorable for me is Green Giant. I can do the low and then high voices of "Ho Ho Ho -- Green Giant" just like the commercials and it makes people laugh. Especially when I suddenly do that for no reason. At 05:02, his pea pod became a corn "ear", not just the "husk". The husk is the leaves that cover the kernels and cob.
(Corn tips:
-If you cut off the thick end of the cob by just one or two rows of kernels, you can use scissors to cut bottom to top and peel the whole husk off like one or two pieces. With a little trimming, that's perfect for wrapping tamales after the husks have dried.
-If you want to get that "silk" off the cob, get a rubber band around your thumb and index finger so you can stretch it into 2 free strands. Run that up and down the cob and the rubber band will roll and get the silk off easily. Don't let anybody see you do that because they will make jokes about, well......y'know.
-Get a bunch of corn ears and do the husk removal for your tamales as mentioned above. Then dry the ears in a cool dry place until the kernels are all dented in and shrink and it's easy to use two hands on each ear to simply twist the kernels off. Twist the kernels off into a bowl-shaped screen sieve. Go outside with a fan or use the fan wind from your heat pump to blow the chaff away. Get a pan with a little oil or butter and throw in some of those dry kernels. They won't "pop", but "puff up". This is called parched corn. 5000+ year old Native American 'recipe'. Originally, they would build a fire and bury the kernels in hot sand. I can't imagine that not being a crunchy, gritty snack!)
I do remember Mr. Peanut and Quaker Dude, but I never cared about mascots. I never even noticed a Chef Boyardee mascot until watching this and I've eaten a LOT of Chef Boyardee...everything!
I was always bothered by the Morton's salt girl walking in the rain with an umbrella and wasting salt!!!!!!! Apparently, it's because they added magnesium carbonate to make the salt still "free flowing" in humid conditions. I wonder how many consumers actually "got" that!
I loved seeing Moana and Maui in that clip because I have both of them in "Disney Heroes Battle Mode". Moana is one of my top Heroes!

Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die".
BUT, mercy said "I dont want to give them what they deserve. I don't want them to be cut off from Me. I love them despite all they have done/will do against Me. I want to give My children another chance. I want them to come home and live in My love again".
And love said "Jesus, God's Son, came down as a Man, our representative, suffering every temptation, pain and struggle we have ever faced, yet without sin. He took all our sins (past/present/ even future) to the cross and then crucified EVERY ONE on our behalf. Justice was paid on the cross so that we can be free from Hell's punishment, experience Gods mercy of forgiveness of sin and live in His love. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (turn away from our sin and pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to obey His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, or struggling or doubtful, simply be honest and tell Him that. He is not intimidated by ANY sin or struggle you are facing. ANY. He hears and will answer. If we pray for Him to come in, regardless of the condition, then He will.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER.
