I always gave Thanatos a Pralaya build in Portable, I don’t understand why they made Pralaya and Maralagidyne non-inheritable. Sure, it makes way more sense, but is way less fun. Also both are far worse than in Portable and FES, ESPECIALLY Maralagidyne, which is basically useless now. Edit: Also Die For Me in FES if I remember correctly, might have been the original P3 actually. I’m getting too old!
@@m3t4l_0verl0rd Yeah I’m saying it was Inheritable, that means anyone could get it, Thanatos, Ose or Lucifer, any persona as long as it could inherit Dark
I played p5R with Thanatos and I thought he was the coolest (still the coolest) but I can’t believe I’m reducing him to a support build. Fire video tho thank you
I needed a wind persona for Elizabeth's second phase, so i ended up with a Wind Thanatos with Panta Rhei. You literally can do anything you want with this guy. Also, am I the only one to think that fusion seems a little easier to control is this game than the others...?
In this game, I built Thanatos around the Bloody Charge skill. My build for him is: Bloody Charge, Null Physical, Firm Stance, Regenerate 1-3, Repel Light, and Arms Master.
Thanatos is best used for support in reload in my opinion as sadly despite having such a cool design he gets outclassed in other roles. He doesn't do almighty and dark as well as Satan and Alice respectively. For slash, his lack of innate physical immunity doesn't help either, personas like Chernobog is better due to innate null slash. Support wise he isn't the best against Eliz due to repel dark but he will be good in other fights
Unless you're using this Thanatos for Elizabeth, it's better (in my humble opinion) to just go for Null Light (card you can get easily), Null physical (Messiah) and instead of going for Enduring Soul just slap Firm Stance on him (since he'll become immune to insta-kills). So, basically: - Morning Star - Almighty Boost - Almighty Amp - Multi-Target Boost (or Concentrate if you don't have a separate persona that can use it) - Spell Master (or Insta-Heal if you have enough MP to spare and/or a Victory Cry persona) - Firm Stance - Null Light - Null Phys
It would probably be hilarious but insightful if Heaven's Blade is used for guaranteed critical purposes. And how to obtain that to basically any persona.
I was thinking on doing a strong Centrillon build so would you recommend me using more of a support Thanatos with charge, etc.? Also thank you so much for the video!
And if you want to make it easier just farm reaper to get all these spells and make the builds (I’m currently gonna farm the reaper for all the skill of the support build continue to the story till I can buy the gems for spell master and then keep farming to get insta hell
Is Crit Rate Boost worth it for the Slash build, or are we able to forego it for more defensive passive skills? I'm thinking about it more in the sense of how consistent it makes Scarlet Havoc criticals happen, and not necessarily about how it could make Vorpal Blade stronger.
5 percent is a big difference when trying to roll over 20k on Elizabeth with Scarlet Havoc. But there are far far easier ways to kill Elizabeth, her difficulty was really neutered. At least they kept the fight fun tho!
In light of recent knowledge, Crit Rate Boost is overwritten by Crit Rate Amp in calculations. Ergo, it is a waste. Put Arms Master instead. That or use personas with no weakness such as Oni and Anubis so you can run Regenerate 3 instead of a null weakness passive.
What is the song your using for the background. I know it's used in the answer dlc. But I don't know the name and this sounds like the new one for the dlc
Who do you use as your starter persona for fights? I got spoiled by neo-cadenza from Persona 5 and eventually figured something out in persona 4, but here I'm finding it harder to theory-craft someone for this role for some reason
Anesthetic aside, do you think i should replace thanatos with beelzebub? They pretty much have the same learnset & stat, with the later having may more agility My build for both is the same also, with megidolaon, maeigaon, debiliate, almighty amp from mutation, dark amp, spell master, and multi boost
Thanatos, son of Nyx (aka the goat)
And it is the person of the protagonist godddd
Cool detail, takayas personas is named Hypno, the other son of Nyx
7:46 Lvl 51 Jikokuten…
I see I wasn’t the only one who used him a lot
I keep coming back for that Intro. Goddamn it goes hard.

@@Megidolaon999 it's really dumb how you can't do this in reload it would be cool but it's whatever
I could vouche for this by putting milady in the table, in a lot of cases she couldve been better than johanna
How is it useless?
What Fuuka actually saw when she shouted: "IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER?!":
I played p5R with Thanatos and I thought he was the coolest (still the coolest) but I can’t believe I’m reducing him to a support build. Fire video tho thank you
You're the best! I just got Thanatos, I tried to ask Reddit what kind of build I should use and I got nothing! Thank you!
The support build looks really good.

Except Magic Mastery lol
Experience, likely.
P5 objectively has more tools.
Reload has a simple system, apart from the Mutations possible
I recommend norm for wind persona
HONKAI STARRAIL MUSIC AT THE INTRO RAAAGH🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for making this video. I know it was a lot of time for you. Good job man🎉

*watches intro sees 17k critcal* Thanatos god daaum thats disgusting damage my god
As a firefriend, I spat out my drink when I heard the music at the beginning (I thought door-kun is going to summon firefly)
You can also get multiple target boost by using queen medb + seiryu (queen learns it from level-up) to fuse samael.
I had absolutely no idea theurgies were affected by personas lol
ok this is epic
Was making the dark build and was disappointed I couldn’t get resist phys yet and then megidolan changed into it

Yea, I think Support is generally the best use for Thanatos

Lowkey wanna know what the music you used in the beginning of the video
It’s “3/31” from Persona 3 FES
It's "Nevermore" from Honkai Star Rail
All that power still wasn't enough to save him.
"Ironic, he could save others from death but not himself"
Molding personas with cool design into a lucifer-esc build gang 🫡🫡🫡
great vid as always king
i love your protagonist's name lmao
I wish I did any of this stuff before actually playing through the game I’m on the last boss and I don’t even have Thanatos 😭
Is there a way to do the support built with out Saturnus? I forgot to do ryoji link
Why did you put Arms Master on the support Thanatos? He has no physical skills to cast.
It's for Bloody Charge, which uses HP
@@bainz Oh, I missed that. sorry.
Is it possible to make a pralaya based build for Thanatos ?
No, as that’s an exclusive move
anyway to do this without masakado😭 i cant get him yet
How do you level personas fast in this game?
Is Crit Rate Boost worth it for the Slash build, or are we able to forego it for more defensive passive skills? I'm thinking about it more in the sense of how consistent it makes Scarlet Havoc criticals happen, and not necessarily about how it could make Vorpal Blade stronger.
Crit Rate Boost is only +5%. So not necessarily worth over defensive passives imo. Crit Rate Amp is +15% and Apt Pupil just doubles your base chance

Mudo boost die for me😂 did it in p3p. Does this version allows it as well?
Die for Me isn’t inheritable in P3R unfortunately
@bainz idk, I was able to inherit it to thanatos🤣
Do more build videos !!

You should do videos on Shin Megami Tensei IV next that game is cool and epic
I hope it ends up being worth it I'm so close I just need helel and nidhoggr
Edit: I can't get helel :(

You can use Beelzebub yea, Thanatos is mainly just for lore
Where did you get the skill card for resist phys?
It’s in the Antique Store in Jan
How do i get almighty amp?
You need to mutate skills
Does bloody charge stack with regular charge?
No
Nice
As a Minato/Makoto Y x Ryoji shipper, this made my day, or should I say, *_night_* 💀
