Hello menu madam it was nice to design . Good information One quiry i have we have a MBBR tank of volume 50 m3 and media of volume 42 m3 so for effluent only 8 m3 .so should we 50 + 42 m3 volu e of tank ?
Mam please make a video for AERATION TANK CAPACITY CALCULATION WITH NO. OF DIFFUSER REQUIRED FOR AERATION WITH BLOWER CAPACITY... ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO YOU BECAUSE UR EXPLANATION IS VERY GOOD WITH OTHR ONES...
There is some error... Media surface is showing no link with media required. Check on Excel sheet You'll get same media required at every value of media surface area.
First and foremost, a very good explanation. However, can the BOD loading rate (from CPHEEO manual) be applied to pilot/lab sized MBBR as well? To be more specific, the flow rate of 1-10 ml/minute. If not, where can they be found (or how can they be custom calculated?). Please, keep on doing this. Very informative.
Yield based on BOD assuming a conversion factor of 1.62 g COD/g BOD = (0.42 g VSS/g COD) /(g BOD /1.62 g COD) = 0.68 MLVSS to MLSS ratio is 0.8 And COD of cell tissue is COD = ∆O2/ ∆C5H7NO2 = 5*32 (mol wt of 5O2) / 113 (mol wt of C5H7NO2) = 1.42 g O2/ g cells For above reaction and more details, please go through chapter 7 of Wastewater Engineering treatment and reuse by METCALF & EDDY, fourth edition.
MLSS is solid part of aeration tank, MLSS contains activated microorganisms, digested solid, volatile and suspended solids. MLVSS is mixed liquor volatile suspended solids, which is 80% of MLSS mixed liquor suspended solids. That's why I took value as 0.8
the volume of the tank is 50 m3 and the amount of biomedies required is 42 m3 but there is no coherence since a maximum filling for the MBBR reactor is allowed from 30 to 70%
Thank you for your informative video. Much appreciated. Would like to know how should be calculate dissolved oxygen rate and how many diffuser to use in order to keep my mbbr tank healthy
Meenu you're a star . Good presentation

You are doing very good thing for the society... Keep it up and make some more videos regarding STP and wtp
How do you calculate MLSS on MBBR since the bacteria are on biofilm? What is the process you used? Thanks!
I have the same question . Please answer
So much information ❤️👍
Hi mam, many thanks for this video. It really helps for me.
very good presentation.

Hello menu madam it was nice to design . Good information
One quiry i have we have a MBBR tank of volume 50 m3 and media of volume 42 m3 so for effluent only 8 m3 .so should we 50 + 42 m3 volu e of tank ?
we are profssional manufacture since 1992,who can give competitive offer of MBBR BIO MEDAI,Any request pls contact freely.
I have same question. I have tank 40 m3 how much media i need to reach a good process . Please anyone answer if he knows
30% of mbbr volume can be considered as media volume, maximum
Hello mam I loved the whole video please can you tell me which edition did u referred for Mecalf and Eddy I will be great full if you can help me
Nice work, MBBR tank maximum holding time must be 6 - 8 hours but here 2 hours holding the tank, is sufficient this volume 50m3 for 500 kld STP.
Please let me know whether video have been made and uploaded. Thanks!

Should we add media qanty+volume of tank= total volume of MBBR TANK?
Can you please explain the side water depth

WHY THERE ARE TWO TANKS USED IN MBBR TANKS? CAN WE GO FOR ONLY ONE TANK?
There is some error... Media surface is showing no link with media required.

Nice work!! Can u provide with bar screen, aeration grid design calculations??
Hello sir, can you give me your contact no than I can send you more details about bar screen MBBR and air diffuser.
can you pleas explain from where we got 0.8 X 0.68 X1.42 ?? THANK YOU
Yield based on BOD assuming a conversion factor of 1.62 g COD/g BOD = (0.42 g VSS/g COD) /(g BOD /1.62 g COD) = 0.68
MLVSS to MLSS ratio is 0.8
And COD of cell tissue is
COD = ∆O2/ ∆C5H7NO2 = 5*32 (mol wt of 5O2) / 113 (mol wt of C5H7NO2) = 1.42 g O2/ g cells
For above reaction and more details, please go through chapter 7 of Wastewater Engineering treatment and reuse by METCALF & EDDY, fourth edition.
what is 0.84 in protected surface area of media?
Please check description of this video.
Mam please make a vedio on how to design a stp for freshers
hi.....could you please explain :
1. what is MLVSS & MLSS?
2. how did you reach the value 0.8 upon dividing MLVSS & MLSS?
MLSS is solid part of aeration tank, MLSS contains activated microorganisms, digested solid, volatile and suspended solids.
MLVSS is mixed liquor volatile suspended solids, which is 80% of MLSS mixed liquor suspended solids. That's why I took value as 0.8
How i can measure MLSS
the volume of the tank is 50 m3 and the amount of biomedies required is 42 m3 but there is no coherence since a maximum filling for the MBBR reactor is allowed from 30 to 70%
There is a 60:40 rule
60% media
Please tell me if i my tank capacity is 40m3
What’s the ratio between wastewater and media in the tank. And how i can masseur MLSS in tank . Thank you
How 0.68 and 1.42 ?
Hello mam i want ask something can we talk
Thank you for your informative video. Much appreciated. Would like to know how should be calculate dissolved oxygen rate and how many diffuser to use in order to keep my mbbr tank healthy
MADAM BOD LOADING RATE GIVEN AS PER CPHEEO MANUAL FOR KALDNES PROCESS IS 1-1.4 KGBOD/CUM/DAY....... HOW IS IT 3 KGBOD/CUM/DAY

Es video ko hindi me bnao mam please mujhe kuch smjh nhi aa rha h please mam 🙏🙏🙏
You mean MBBR volume is 50 m3 and MBBR media you worked out is 42 m3.. Means 80% volume of mbbr volume.. Where will the water go then... 🤓
dont just read out the whatever you are presenting........better explain the content!!!!!!
Okay ji...
