Hello Ma'am , I just purchased this Bosch washing machine front load, I am unable to find the water tap which is connected to machine main water inlet hose. Please advise.
I did this video at my friend's place in Chennai last year. You can fit it back in 2 ways - You can twist the hose in the reverse direction before fitting the filter and turning the threads. So at the end, the hose would be back to normal when fitted. Or you can remove the hose at the washing machine end too, and then fit the filter first and then connect at the washing machine end. Hope this works out. Thanks.
@Ramamurthy Ramanathan, Normally if there is no dirt around the black filter, I prefer not to remove it but just clean around it. But yes, you can definitely remove that too and clean it and fit it back. Thanks for sharing.
A filter leakage usually means leakage from the rubber gasket/washer. You can get the gasket/washer replaced either by your plumber or Bosch service person. Thanks.
Hi Gur, from what I saw i feel overall the product is very good. The specified noise level is 49 dB, so it os very silent while in operation. There is a possibility of vibration if - 1. the clothes are loaded unevenly (unbalanced) 2. the clothes are not a mix of large and small 3. the legs are not adjusted to the ground level If these are taken care of, there should not be any vibration in any washing machine. There is no lower limit of clothes to be washed at a time. So you can wash one or two clothes. Accordingly required quantity of water will be drawn. Hope I have made myself clear. Thank you.
Hi Aruna, sorry for the delayed reply. I think this was supplied by Bosch during installation. I could not find an identical one online but only similar ones. I am sharing one such link. Please check whether it suits your requirement. Else, you could go to a shop which sells appliance spare parts, pipes and accessories. Hope this helps. Thanks. amzn.to/3HY9pD9
Most of these filters are only sediment filters. Many of them claim to treat hard water but I don't think they do. Don't expect any miracles. Don't go for expensive ones. You could go for a simple filter like this - amzn.to/33mSdER It is priced reasonable and you have a 10 day return window if you are not satisfied. Alternatively you could get filters at any good stores selling water filtration and water treatment products in your city/town. Thanks.
I have cleaned the filter and still water check is showing. Bosch services at Kolkata has not been able to solve the problem instead they replaced the whole switch panel which was very expensive. I don't know what to do now.
Hi Manitha, normally when you use these machines in hard water, over some time, you will observe scale formation in drum, around the door and in the detergent compartment. It is advisable to use descaling powder and do descaling at regular intervals to combat this issue. Thanks.
Bhuvana Adi I live in Chennai, I am just afraid that whether water quality ruin the performance of washing machine. Drum clean or descaling what is the procedure behind it. Do we need extra filters to soften water. Thanks
Hi Manitha, you are right. The hard water supply will not only reduce the cleaning performance but is also likely to shorten the life of the machine. The best option is to try to connect soft water supply to the machine if possible. Next best is - there are water softener filters available that can be connected to the water inlet. But I am not sure how effective they are. You will need to buy based on the brand/make and customer reviews. Any water softener system/filter will have limited life if there is no regeneration involved. If you have no option but to run with hard water only, run descaling as regularly as possible, based on the scaling formed. 1) There are descaling powders available. Put about 2 tbsp of descaler in the detergent drawer and run a full cycle empty without clothes. 2) Open the drain filter (front bottom of the machine - you will find a small round or rectangular door) and then open the filter, clean it and fit it back. The manual gives instructions on this. 3) The water gets filled into the detergent chamber through nozzles. If these nozzles are clogged, they will also need to be cleaned. But this cannot be done by us unless a knowledgeable technical person is there at home. You may need to call the company or some professional service. Thanks. Good luck.
Bhuvana Adi Thank you so much for your detailed explaination. I will check it out for softeners or else I should opt for complete water softener system . Thank you once again. 👍
Hi Ankur Verma, Actually I had done the review and demo of this BOSCH Washing Machine at a friend's place where the machine had already been installed. They informed that the company person brought it at the time of installation. Normally when the company person comes for installation, they sometimes carry such adaptors and charge for that. But in case they do not, these are available in some good plumbing materials shop. Alternatively you could check online for these. I am sharing a few links of what I found online - amzn.to/2Po43FW - Renque® Washing Machine Water Inlet Pipe Faucet Tap Adapter with Dust Filter amzn.to/2qBNttX - MGS- Washing Machine Water Inlet Pipe Faucet Tap Adapter With Dust Filter Hope this helps. Thanks.
This usually comes with the Bosch washing machines and Bosch dishwashers. Else it is brought by the company technicians during installation. But you can get similar ones from Amazon, the link of which I am sharing below: amzn.to/469SI2F Hope you find this helpful. Thanks.
I too get the tap symbol while the washing machine is running. Is there a problem if the tap symbol continues to come? Will it damage the machine in the long term?
Hi, if the tap symbol is ON even after filter cleaning, it indicated low inlet water pressure. Regarding damage to the machine, I am not too sure about this. In appliances which have a motor for inlet water, low pressure could cause damage to the machine. But I think, in washing machine, there is no inlet water pump and the water is drawn/filled by solenoid valve opening and only gravity into the machine. So, low pressure will slow down the operation/running time. Anyway, don't go only by my answer. You could confirm with some expert with knowledge on this. And in the long run, it is better to have water supply pressure as specified by the manual. Thanks..
Dear Mr. Subbu, Please try in any large plumbing/water filter accessories shop. Either take the old filter or take a photo of the filter so that you can buy one that is the correct and exact replacement. Alternatively, you could call the washing machine service centre and enquire whether they have it. The one shown in the video was fitted by Bosch technician during machine installation. Thanks.
I got the solution for removing tap sign check the pipe connection at the back of machine make it a little loose so that pipe can be moved easily.
Good to know that your problem got solved.

@@BhuvanaAdi Do Bosch Washing Machine need Stabilizers?
No I don't think so, as manufacturers do not recommend one. But if you have frequent voltage fluctuations, you can install one for peace of mind.
