I know its not official but the pizza tower co op mod is genuinely one of the best multiplayer experiences ive ever had. That mod is actually what got one of my friends into the game because even though he knew nothing about the controls it was really fun to just keep hitting each other in random levels lmao
They are alive and well my friend, built my entire channel on current gen/ps4, Gamepass splitscreen and local co-op games, there's 17600 of us ! come on over ! (couch co-op has a hyphen, but i appreciate the plug!)

I alway though coop meant splitscren and found it odd with newer games it was just multi-player.
Rocket League is still my favorite to bring anyone in. 5 or 95 anyone can pick it up and have fun.
Ngl the only thing i miss from most of today's multiplayer games is proximity voice chat, and even the games that have it most players don't use it
