It's a movie.. all the cast are actors from that time period. When the director says "cut" the black and white actors will interact and practice lines. You get my drift?
Now, in the 2024 we have more black millionaire than in the 70s, more education etc. etc.. sometimes I find myself liking 70s back movies, maybe it’s the language used, with all due respect.
You got to start somewhere and we’ve come a long way in quality and writing. I grew up in the 70’s and could go to the movies and see three of these type of movies, usually with a lot more action, in a row for a dollar. I really should have been at the library. RIP, Jim Brown and Jim Kelly.
If you think about it there was more community love and we all knew our neighbors ....today is a lot more distant with everyone trapped in cyberspace and most of us don't even know our neighbors...
I love black movies also, this movie has such a great premise but it went so many different ways that I didn't expect it to go! But I still respect the movie
WOW this movie proves just how long Black Politicians have been so useless to the Black Community. We're still dealing with the same issues in the year 2024😮😢
@@MrJ-dc3yz Correction. Wakanda, and in general, Black Panther came out in 1966. This movie came out in 1977, 11 years after Black Panther number 1. So Wakanda did, in fact, come out before this movie.
I really enjoyed this film. With a very small budget, the Director did a good job. The racism illustrated in the film actually happened to a Doctor Ossian Sweet and his family in Detroit in 1925.
I'm a white guy I remember this happening in Boston, chicago...this movie has history behind it. I'm saving it. Thanks you tube. Oh, by the way; my wife's asian, my 2nd cousin is 1/2 mexican, I have 4 adopted African American cousins (1 fought in afghanistan), and my uncle shot nazis in ww2.
@@davidscott3820 well, let's have a metric... After your 20 years (as well as any time that has transpired since)... Do you feel like the average American is MORE free? Or LESS? (and what makes you think so?)
@Goji-eletienne due to the fall of Adam and the surrender of the world to satan, we live in a sinful world, bad things happen to good people, only Jesus saves! He saved me from a gun to the head. We all have a choice, I made mine. No man and no riches will save you. But like I said, it's your choice.
It goes to show you turning the other cheek Don't worry be Happy things we shouldn't have done we should have stood up and died right then and then what's changed since the 70s play still see us the same way
After the son was offed it would’ve been a big problem after that. And where’s the Black Panthers? Can’t lie….they need a remix for this movie tho. It’ll be wayyyyy better now. And it’s not Superman……more like Martian Manhunter lol The end was blah. We ain’t hugging and getting along either
Nothing has changed after 50 - 60 years even more. That poor Wade boy shooting by the Pasadena Police Dept 10 years ago is really sad and I cannot ever forget it. And I am not black. And the family was forced to settle for hundred thousand dollars for wrongful death. Really sad.

I love these black movies of the 70's!!

Yeah. Nowadays, they're even calling the police on us for doing ordinary things. Or falsely accusing us of crimes.

Exactly what do you want to change
@@1990758 Exactly, new era victim culture who don't understand that in those times it was real racism, where as now most issues stem from culture.
And that's a fact !
Love this! A trip in time to 1970's! Peace
Never heard about this movie. Good job RUclips.
Great job in fact 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🤧
When they first show Abar with those shades on he looks like Dave Chappelle
Agreed.
Looking like Dave and sounding like Eddie 😅
Or he also looks like Bokeem Woodbine .
He sure does lol 😅
And sounds like Eddie Murphy.
I love these types of black based movies more than the so called new aged black ghetto era, it's lots more class and style.
Dave Chappelle in the beginning
IT'S ALL AN ILLUSION............ HOW YOU THINK THE BLACK COMMUNITY GOT WORSE???

Funny 😁
THIS MOVIE IS A GEM!!!! I've heard of it before but never knew it was this good!!!
We learn something new every day ! Thanx !
Great movie! Arguably more relevant now than when it was made. Thank you for uploading this surprising and powerful film!
Dave Chappelle should have gotten at least an Oscar nod for his performance in this film..
😆 🤣
Dem boys fought in dress shoes. Now that's cold blooded.

Stacy Adams (biscuits) 🤣

the 70s was an amazing decade to grow up in, i only wished there wasn't so much hate back than 😊

Far more and malicious they just don’t try to hang us publicly
