  • In this video Tyler, Jacob, and Travis all head to Bastrop, LA to the best sporting goods store around...Simmons Sporting Goods. The people at Simmons are always super helpful, and Mr.Todd and the guys in the archery department are some of the best. This video should show you how incredibly easy it is to go to a store (like Simmons) and pick out a bow and get it set up for the hunting season. Mr.Todd and Ryleigh also help our small brains comprehend things like IBO speed and arrow weight. After this trip, we have decided we will always try and make the drive to Bastrop for archery products and tune ups.

Finally a comprehensive and common sense bow video!
I watched Fred Bear kill a Kodiak bear with a 50 lb recurve the other night.
I have finally found my aha moment!
These $1500-$2000 bare bows on the market are just the latest version of the same mouse trap !

Not many shops that give this quality service I’ve ever been to. At 72 years old I’m doing 62#’s at 28” with 455 grain. Blows through deer antelope and average pigs( 150#?) easily. Fixed two blade heads

Did you shoot though paper or just him cause everyone grips a bow different and just because he got a bullet hole doesn't mean you would too it might be close but you should always paper tune while you shoot just my opinion but nice bow and video I've shot a bear bow before but settled on matthews

@@KeplerCreekOutdoors Thanks mate, was asking as I've only shot recurve bows (20 yrs ago) and now taking the sport up again. I live in a fairly isolated part of Australia so I don't have a bow shop to go to (it would take me some long days of driving to get there) so am very interested in this 'Bear Adapt' single cam bow. Which means ordering online...which sucks, but I live where I live lol. So in your opinion would I best be looking at the 70lb bow in the Adapt an winding it down via limbs? Thanks in advance mate.

After you’ve hunted and know what’s it about arrow speed isn’t all that relevant. Yea, it has merit but it’s arrow placement. In the past I’ve killed with 250-fps arrows
