I ... really wanted to love this. This compilation is awesome, and the fight scenes were great, but so far, the logical flow of Season 3 isn't impressing me. *SPOILERS AHEAD. Do NOT keep reading if you really like Ultraman and don't want me to potentially ruin your impression of the series* 1) They're acting like it's such a big deal that Shinjiro kills alien monsters when in Season 1, he had a hard time with it and Moroboshi insisted that it was necessary. Pretty much _all_ of his victories ended with the alien dead, and they were pretty much always unrepentant monsters who had no interest in turning over a new leaf. All of a sudden, he's a monster for this? I'm so confused. 2) Shinjiro communicated very poorly. He had multiple opportunities to mention the Zetton entity he saw in his head, which was causing him the behave more irrationally, but he only hinted at it to his father and never told anyone else. When he was framed, he kept saying "I didn't do it!" instead of trying to come up with actual theories about what happened, or suggesting it could be a shape-shifting alien (since pretty much ALL aliens can shapeshift, as mentioned in Season 1). 3) The general public is far too stupid. It's not even a funny, believable or necessary plot device. They know Ultraman saved literally the entire planet from invaders last season, yet they think he's causing more damage than he's worth for destroying a few buildings (yes, that was bad, but it doesn't compare to the good he did). I was hoping Rena Sayama (hope I'm spelling her name right) would mention this directly in her debate, but she never did. Furthermore, the professor debating her acted as if letting aliens kill people is part of the natural order, with his wolves, humans and deer argument (who would actually agree with that?) If the humans wanted to replace Ultraman, they'd have to come up with a good substitute, but they didn't even try. The writers could have come up with better ways to justify the Ultraman hate. 4) Mephisto was working in his office, disguised as a human, even though there was no one there to see him. 5) The characters fail to figure out things that we, the viewers, easily can. It feels like an insult to my intelligence. For instance, all the way back to Season 1, Bemular hinted that he was the alien who combined with Shinjiro's dad to become Ultraman. He even looks sort of like an Ultraman! It's been obvious, yet no one seems to have picked up on this. 6) When Shinjiro killed the imposter Ultraman, Taro's response was basically: "Oh, the horror! He just killed an innocent alien who definitely wasn't doing anything suspicious in a secure, military base where he's not supposed to be! There's no way that alien was out to cause harm, or masquerading as Ultraman, even though we already know that *most aliens can disguise themselves as humans, as established in Season 1!"* 7) Shinjiro's reactions to almost everything make him look dazed, slow-witted, half-awake and like he's only partially paying attention. Lots of his lines consist of 'huh?' noises for obvious statements, and he pauses for long periods of time to digest what is said to him, without coming to particularly clever conclusions afterwards. To be fair, other characters act like this to a degree ... 8) On a related note, most of the characters look fidgety and make unnecessary noises and pauses, which takes me out of the story. That's probably a cultural thing that makes more sense in context, because I've seen something similar in other anime-related material like Godzilla: Singular Point. Still, it's distracting.
Okay, I gotta take back a lot of what I said. The season pulled itself together around episode 5. The characters started showing that they were more intelligent than I thought, and the plot got more interesting. They even sort of lampshaded some of the things that I thought the series wasn't self-aware of.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Nostalgia? No, Ultraman was not a part of my childhood. This series is my first real introduction to him. I didn't even know how iconic the aliens who show up are supposed to be until I took a look at TV Tropes and recognised some. I would have assumed most of them were created for the show. None of what I said even hinted at: "I liked things just fine the way they were before!"
Please do not end. There are still lots of questions need to be answered, star council, why Ultraman leave, why earth become the place for alien refugees....the plot is getting bigger from here...
Ultraman leaves because zoffy took him back to M78 to heal unfortunately the star council invaded the land of light and caused the plasma spark to go out then all the ultraman got banished into another dimension bar some ultra's our shodai ultraman who left his original giant body and took the bemular form then two of the survivor ultra's who were alive came to earth and then give birth to rena sayama (the daughter of ken and marie) our original ultraman under the alias of bemular come back to earth undercover while the reason because of the alien refugees coming is because ambassador melfas was smuggling them to earth to kill people and destroy their faith on ultraman.
@@adaman.shr.3538 It should be noted Rena's backstory is entirely different in the anime. She's the daughter of a human father and a (non ultra) alien mother who received a blood transfusion from Shin Hayata, which is why she carries the light.
Série muito boa. Muita referência a série antiga (live action) trouxe meu ultra favorito o ultraseven.

Standing ovation for this masterpiece of an anime. Nothing but love for this story. Was sad to see it end. But it has a very good ending.
Maybe in the not too distatn future they will realese a continuation or a spin off of the series as we saw in the post credits

ultramen combat in human-sized ironman-like suits, amazing
We need more seasons of Ultraman 💯
Maybe in the not too distatn future they will realese a continuation or a spin off of the series as we saw in the post credits scene

Needs a remake that cgi is atrocious
I'm hoping the FMA Brotherhood route once the manga finishes.

Yo espero que saquen una secuela de está serie con shinjiro ahora siendo el ultraman que defiende solo la tierra
Si yo también lo espero

I honestly thought that this was a trailer for a spin off of UltraMan! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
What do you mean
@@5spec exactly what I said, I thought it was another spin off of Ultraman
Hasn't Ultraman always been a buff, strong, giant? Now he's Ironman?
A giant made out of light. I prefer Ultraman to be more on the mystical side.
But this series seems cool on its own too
Did you even see the intro? It was a flashback to the original Ultraman

Okay, but when are we getting the action figure for the final ultraman suit
Seriously what is the name of the song?
it feels weird that the crowd is so near to the fight and is taking photos of them instead of helping or running away..
