- In this video we cut and weld the rear fenders to gain max clearance on our Jeep Cherokee XJ. We also test fit a 35 inch tire to see if it fits.

Great vid. how about a face shield and gloves. Been on the receiving end of a cut off wheel, not good.
You’re definitely right I should have had a face shield on as well.
What setting did you use on the welder
Oh man! I don’t remember exactly. Keep the power down a bit so you’re not burning through.
did you do a cut and fold in the very back to get it up that far? or just cut it off
I did the cut and fold but there was a decent amount rust so I had trimmed out the bad metal and folded what was left. I still have to make little patch panels to fill in the remaining hole on each side.

Everything from the body line down is going to be painted black. So we don’t care about that door paint lol 😂
