I love pitbulls, most attacks arent caused by pitbulls. But dogs under the umbrella term, or dogs that resemble a pitbull. An inexperienced owner can falsely claim that a dog is a pitbull. They are also very loyal, smart, and agile. Also, a lot of pit attacks are because they werent raised properly, neither trained, or socialized properly.

There has been miscategorization and also improper training / breeding for these dogs because of their strength and ability. We also can't ignore they are banned in more than 40 countries and this breed also has an extensive history of fighting. We also cannot discount there are many rehabilitators who have succeeded with pitbulls but also they are the highest concentration of breed in a shelter. it's a touchy subject and everyone should make their own decision. Ive got one of these dog breeds and he is the best dog wouldn't hurt a fly, he is a beautiful boy, best family dog, the kids do everything to him pull his tail poke his eyes, I do stop them but the kids are 1 and 2 yrs old but my Humphrey just let's them go and lays there, he isnt the best with other dogs apart from my other dog bear he is an Australian kelpie, they're like brothers but he did get attacked by a dog as a pup thats why he dont like other dogs, apart from that I wouldnt change him for anything.
