  • This Jaguar XK150 SE 3.4 FHC is a restored example of the classic sporting coupe, with an appealing two-tone interior, very smart paintwork, and an excellent chassis.
The ‘S’ prefix on the chassis number indicates that this XK150 was equipped with the ‘Special Equipment’ (SE) option, incorporating disc brakes and a powerful engine with twin 44mm SU carburettors and a modified cylinder head with larger exhaust valves.
It is powered by a 3.4-litre straight-six engine, producing up to 210bhp, coupled to the rare three-speed Borg Warner automatic transmission.

Within Jaguar Cars the round Jaguar badge is known as "the growler" and the pouncing chrome jaguar is known as "the leaper" - I used to design some of the older Jag car and accessories brochures...not many people outside Jag actually know the correct nomenclature for these historical Jaguar brand icons.

Very nice car. No music please, enginesound is a lot better!

I'd rather have heard the car on the road than the music. Otherwise, good video.

the mirrors on the fenders are practically useless. everyone knows that the further the distance from eye to mirror the smaller and unsteady the image.
BTW, diggn' the dual pea-shooter exhausts. :)

The “ big cat” (mascot) was not fitted to the XK series cars at the factory. Of more recent years, some owners took to fitting the mascot, which in my opinion detracted from the beautiful lines of of these great cars.

Beautifully restored car. Obviously well reconstructed door hinge boxes .... no drop! Awful gearbox with three speeds. Slush, slushy and slushier. Removes 50% of the fun of driving.

Good video overall except for the American terminologies with reference to 'hood' and 'fenders' although you mentioned that the car had 'wing' mirrors not fender mirrors. It is a true British classic. Apart from that I enjoyed the video,

I enjoy watching each and every one of the videos you have made but if there is one request it is to please stop using Americanisms in the commentary. It is not a fender but a wing, not a hood but a bonnet and not a windshield but a windscreen.

Distinctive exhaust note would have been better than the music
