- Hey guys here are just some tips and tricks ive learned over the years to spot rep bride seats from real ones any feedback is great thanks. @sadboygarage @dopeharman

I was under the impression that rep low max’s had the black gloss back while authentic had either the graduation back or carbon fiber
I got a bride seat, but I can't tell, it has soft fabric, but no bride embleming on the back and butt cushions, has the big spring like you said, but no sticker on the bottom and no tag on the seat, like someone took it off and the cushions are soft foam not styrofoam like the fakes. Help would be appreciated

Love Australian road laws. Authentic brides are illegal here and will get you defected. The replicas are legal and you can run them on a street car. Go figure!
Damn, I'm from Canberra and I didn't know that. Why are the replicas legal?
Simon Ruangsuk no idea mate. They’re legal with a mod plate here in Queensland unless you use stock rails (but what the hell fits on stock rails anyway?) in which case replicas are completely legal. Another thing is they’re ADR approved so (don’t quote me on this, but it did happen to my mate) you can get defected for them, yet if you get a roadworthy, they’re considered okay when inspected. Go figure man, our laws are a mess.
Have you sat in a bride rep vs a genuine seat? Structurally are they the same? How does it hold up?
@@blytzace honestly they’re not that different from a driving standpoint. The only thing I’d say is the legit brides feel a bit more rigid. I’d say the main difference would be in the actual structural integrity of them in a crash, but I sold my reps to get a better spec oem seat before I got unlucky enough to test that theory.
@@blytzace oh and build quality on legit brides was a decent bit better as you’d hope it would be.

Do they weigh the same ? Is the replica heavier ?
They weight about the same the rep is usually a little lighter 80% of the time from what ive noticed

i didn't buy the rep it had came in my Ap1 car when i had bought it but they are usually posted all over craigslist
Mostof the time, it looked like u were just guessing what could be the differences because u already know which is ori and which isnt..

its the chassis code between the s2000 years of variation ap1 is 00-03 and ap2 is 04-09
