In this video, at 9:06 / 9:07 I noticed that the home across the street from yours, right in front, looks very old but if it were rehabbed and they added another floor, your beautiful mountain view would disappear. I would suggest you consider looking into the possibility of purchasing that little home and fixing it up yourself to ensure that no one makes it taller thus covering up your beautiful views of Italy. Just a thought.........love your video!!!!!!!!

It was a video discussing what I would have purchased, but already having property in Italy I wasn't in a rush to buy one in Mussomeli. Sorry for the confusion. Superior homes is just a description for houses for sale in the historical center of town. It's hard to answer. Sicily is full of them, I'd wager most of the inner communities have plenty of real estate for sale. Mussomeli had a great setup for showing the properties alongside the 1 euro home initiative. I'd say start with a corner of Italy you like and browse google maps until you find a small village you like. Sorry I don't have a good answer for you.

It does. There are certain categories of real estate in Italy that can be found as low as 5-10,000 euro. It's finding a great one that is a little more difficult. This one isn't that low, but the owners of these properties are motivated to sell for one reason or another.
I'm not sure how many, but they are sure to have some restaurants. Food is a major commodity of Italy. But, I don't think there is ever a surplus of good food options.
On the 1 euro home market? No For the superior market you need to verify that it has all the basic necessities for residency in Italy and then yes. I imagine it is possible. Depends on the price in the end.

I can picture getting a license. Italy & Sicily are where these things are controlled by the mafia or underpaid municipal clerks. They do not see time as a deadline. Abandoned properties are abandoned because they have no value.

That terrace is amazing & would be a good guest property or air bnb. The 200 sq m also looks better on a site like air bnb.

Yes. In most communities. Some communities limit 1 euro homes to future residents only. So it is dependent on if you can gain a residency visa.
