Up to the minute 4.20 he plays with harmonica LA in 2th position, then we see that he changes harmonica ... after 4.20 min which tonality harp uses and in which position? .....Fantastic!

Hi Angelo, thanks for your comment. I switched to an E harp - 1st position - and using a delay pedal set to a dotted eighth pattern with an equal volume on the one repeat you hear...gives the illusion of playing staccato 16th note pattern..!

Sorry to burst the bubble, but having seen everyone from Sonny Terry to Paul Butterfield, Corky Seigel, Junior Wells, James Cotton, and for me still the master of contemporary blues harp, Norton Buffalo, the difference I'm afraid is one of inherent style. What most all of these modern harp guys seem to lack, is the intrinsic sense to STOP showing the F*** off. The song sets the tone, the pace, the speed, and too many technically proficient players just can't seem to get over themselves, out there, center stage. It's all about the notes per second, and halfway through I forget what damn tune it is they're playing. There was a beauty in economy, when records were limited to 3 minutes. You gotta cut the s**t out, man. Listen to Stevie Ray play "Lenny." Why can't any harmonica players see the difference?

Thank you, I enjoyed the irony of using SRV as an example of restraint.

Alex Eden haha I was thinking the same!
Anyway, when you are a ‘special guest’, the idea is to show off a bit, not keep it simple. Jerry Portnoy shows off from time to time, as do Charlie Musselwhite, Rick Estrin, Rod Piazza, Dennis Gruenling et al. Just saying :)

You're a fucking idiot, the typical blues nazi who just can't live the modern times and recognise the genius when they're alive ....Carlos will be remembered, when you'll be lost in oblivion

Sorry Christelle, I love to death your playing, plus Adam Gussow, Jason Rickinghall et al, but I have to say I am not an idiot or blues nazi, and yes I agree, I do not see anything at all in this guy. Certainly can’t sing. Sorry
