Hurricane Fiona: Looking back at the storm's destruction in Atlantic Canada

- Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston said it was “really heartbreaking” to see the extensive damage hurricane Fiona, turned post-tropical storm Fiona, brought to Cape Breton, after a tour of some of the hardest hit areas of the island in September.
Fiona hammered Atlantic Canada, causing widespread power outages, washing out roads and downing trees.

Living on the north shore of PEI, such devastation of so much. We will move on. The PEI province continues to do their best in this new situation to find support for clean up. It is a massive undertaking. Anything the province and the red cross has done so far is helpful....and deeply appreciated. The Spring 2023 will see a lot more clean up in progress as there was only a few months before Winter was to arrive and clean up road side services had to be suspended. Thank you PEI government, and with some nudging on the part of this household, PEI Forestry showed support and plans to continue in the Spring of 2023. 💪🇨🇦

Being from NB Canada I can say it was a sad day for Canadians 😓 buildings built by are forefathers gone forever never to be seen again. Land gone homes gone live stock gone ! Everything gone
