Looking at several Harley Bentons; a dreadnaught acoustic, the HB-35 Plus semi-hollow black on gold, and an SC type hardbody. But this looks cool too, especially with 18.1 on bridge AND neck. HOLY SHEEPSHIT-!!! Great vid overall. I think you'll like HB's and look forward to you getting more of them.
I scored the fanned fret 8 string a couple of years ago. It's a great axe for the money! The only thing I didn't like much are the stock pickups. They are weak but changing them with better high gain pickups will do the trick!

Good looking guitar! Just an FYI on Active pickups, impedance of active pickups measured on a DMM does not matter the same way as passive pickups. The measurement you get on passive pickups can tell you how "hot" they are, but because active pickups have a much lower impedance due to having a built-in preamp, the load impedance from the volume pot is reduced significantly. An active pickups output is more consistent, whereas passive pickups are more sensitive to changes in load impedance. The measurement you should be getting when reading with the DMM the way you were, is basically the volume pot impedance. For example, my Active EMG's and Fluence pickups have 25k pots, as that is "typical" for Active PIckups, and my DMM will read the pickups as 25k "output" impedance... this is because of the nature of Active Pickups. BTW, I remember watching Headbangers Ball back in the 90's and onward. That was a GREAT time to be alive. Music was so much more back then. Just like going and getting an album when it was released, or when I saved up enough to get a couple.. What great times and memories. The youth of today has no idea what they missed out on during those times. You got a sub man!

Congrats, Dave! You hit 10k! Now on to 15k! Love ya, man! Edit: The reason they put the jack there, is because you are supposed to loop it over the strap and plug it in so it's out of your way. At least I think that's what they were going for lol.
Randy Rhoads had the input jack on the top like this one, I prefer it that way, you can wrap the cord around the strap and it's all right there in one spot. easier when sitting as well.

I haven't yet tried a HB guitar. My nephews guitarist in his band plays a HB but it's an 8 string fan fret guitar. I have seen them play dozens of times and the guitar sound good.
