    Love the content you have been releasing. 100% agree that the technology you are covering is still understandable by a single human and gives a really good base for people who want to learn more.

      Thank you! When I was at VCF East last week, the subject of “understandable by a single person” came up in several of my discussions with folks. I love how the technology we enjoy today builds on the shoulders of the past, and having that past technology around to poke and examine can lead to a better understanding of today’s tech.

    I don't comment much I just want to say that when I found your channel I watched through all of your videos pretty rapidly. You have a wonderful air and delivery, are very knowledgeable, and just a joy to watch and listen to. You've quickly become one of my favorites in this sort of "genre" of RUclips. I even used your video to help me put together my own MT32-Pi!
    I more than look forward to the future of your channel.

    I also enjoy your videos a lot! They are well presented, have deep knowledge and cover a topic isn't very well covered on RUclips.

      I appreciate that! I realized a couple of years ago that many of us that are 'tech minded' really want deeper information when I examined my own habits and realized that I whenever I was learning a new skill, I'd always skip the 'beginner' books and go straight for the 'advanced' ones. I'm hoping some of the more in-depth content I put together is helpful and resonates with folks!

    Can someone help me reconcile why this channel has such great looking videos and such a neat looking workshop/set ... but it's just a hobby and it's only been going for a year?
    I love the channel - I just feel like I've missed some background information, here on how everything about this channel is already so awesome :)

    • @whatskenmaking
      @whatskenmaking  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you!!! Just like any skill - the more you do it, the better you get. If you compare one of my more recent videos with my earlier ones, you can definitely see the difference! Regarding the workshop - it got built up over time, as I've acquired tools and equipment as I've needed them. Most of the furniture you see in the videos are pieces I've built myself - I do some woodworking as well, though I'm nowhere near as skilled there (and it's more difficult to film), so I haven't done any video content around woodworking (yet). I do have a project that I think I'll do a little bit of that in, but we'll have to wait until later this summer to see how that works out 😉

    • @whatskenmaking
      @whatskenmaking  4 месяца назад

      🎉 Thank you - it certainly has been a great first year! I like to try to keep the videos more about the technology than about myself, but I don't mind answering personal questions when they come up. I work in cybersecurity for my 'day job' and actually have been thinking about what it would look like to integrate some of that content into my videos. For example, I've been playing with the Flipper Zero for past few months, which almost sort of bridges the gap between the security analyst and maker worlds. I'm open to suggestions on that!
