still appreciating that some people like this hand-made, raw, intelligent music. This is band so raw and beautiful that it deserves so much more recognition. But I am also happy that they stay "low profile" and "true to themselfes/their style" no matter to commerce = nowadays so much more raw

not gunna lie I just my 6 figure job that ive worked my fuking ass off for 1 year ago. i just slipped into a major depression, in lockdown, havnt left my bed in 3 days then started listening to them again and im acually out of bed setting up my instruments to write some songs. music is powerful and i love these guys
This song is a perfect example of a modern American love song. All the good and bad mixed together in recipe that models a co-dependant relationship.

Loved these guys in high school when their first album came out. I remember having a burnt copy of Anxiety and not being able to find a real copy anywhere for years.. They're almost like a guilty pleasure because Sean's songs are so emotional but idgaf, I love it. Always have
Anxiety never got released due to problems with there label.It was later that more anxiety was released after going ahead and doing on there own without a legit label. I been a fan since 04 and been going to there shows since 06 till now. How do you like there sheep album and favorite songs.

This song is the reason why i wanted to learn how to play guitar, why i learned to play our old e-bass i found before buying a guitar, why i play bass in a band now, why i found two people i already met >10 years ago, why i found the best girl in the world as a friend, why i still like to breathe and to feel I'm alive. I just can't explain how much this song has changed my life.. I always get sad after realizing it, what would be if this song wouldn't exist? Without SES my life would be empty..

I saw them at a small show of about 150 or so people back in 2010. After the show I asked Ryan as I was buying a t-shirt that had pot leaves all over it if they liked to smoke and he said " Yeah....." So I got the guys stoned on some good homegrown from here in Michigan. I actually drove back home (30 minute drive one way) grabbed a joint from my mom and then drove back to the bar just so I could give it to their manager right before they left town. The manager's response was epic, " I fucking LOVE Michigan!!!!! "

Smile empty soul will always be my favorite band it’s so sad that they were underrated 🎤🎧
But, let's be honest, if they were overrated, would you love them as much. This is literally one of the bands I grew up on, I love them. I'm happy that they aren't overrated like lady gaga, or Britney spears in the days. It would have ruined some of it for me
