Wonderful work on putting up tombstones for veterans that otherwise might have none- there are so many cases where this is the case. Thank you for what you are doing-up there I think those veterans are smiling too!
Thank you veterans for your contribution to serving our country. Thank you Justin and your fellow contributors for making this happen. God bless and have a good week.
Nice! We did one of these unmarked CW graves last summer at our local cem. Our old cem. books showed him buried here but for some reason or other he never made it into our computer db. Worked with a Michigan based CW historian to verify the details and got our man the headstone he deserves. He now has an original GAR flagholder, too!
We did 5 in a cemetery just north of town last year. I had them all shipped to my house then I loaded them up and we installed them… those things were heavy! And by the end of the day I had enough of moving them! lol!
Every county should have a Veteran Service Officer. They can help you work with the VA. All Veterans with an honorable discharge, and provable service is due an honor like this.
Ok, so I have went and come up with a question, since we aren’t used to seeing this type in granite. Is it a polished granite and then inside of the shield is it rough? Or is the whole thing kinda rough? Or....

Most Excellent!!! Could you address what you did to get the county to act?
Just got lucky enough to have some folks with the township that wanted to see it happen

Much Respect ✊
How much does a headstone cost because the veteran who made a mistake and did prison time is still a veteran and deserves better.
Agree. In some people's small minds, there is no such thing as redemption. Sounds like that is what is occurring here.
That was so nice of you all to do that. Did you still mark the other grave that didn't qualify for the headstone with some else?
I did not… I think the people in charge of the cemetery have something in the works
They look nice. Why do some have dates and others don't?
I would like to know that too. I ordered them without dates and some of them came with dates lol.

The shield is rough… everything else is what I would call… semi polished. Lol… it’s not entirely smooth but it isn’t rough either
@@Headstoneman I kind of thought so. I know exactly what you are talking about. Thanks!
