Sam Brown I did this right after the the new patch was live.Even tho i didnt maxed W,but u can do almost the same shit with Q maxed.Also i like to chesse players that tend to stay into their own creeps with E max.Also do u know when Muramana proc like 7 times on 1 E before it was patched?

General Weaboo it took him a long time to farm and was punished in early game , hard to cs with him now you can just oneshot someone in lane as ryze. the old ryze was a lot weaker
Gregor Ment S4 was mostly ad melee champs top. How do you figure he was punishable? s4 ryze wasn't weak at all and would steam roll your whole team as a full on tank.
I like how his ultimate cd is lower than his other abilities cool downs when he is done with the combo at 1.49. The ultimate is actually up again after the combo, that was sick times!

***** If you're interested in strategic diversity in a MOBA game I highly reccomend you check out one that isn't League of Legends :P Some people like the way league works and I respect that (and I like it sometimes as a player from time to time), but seriously check out Dota2 with maybe a look at the "Welcome to Dota2, You Suck" guide and no other expectations about the game that you may have heard before. might be fun, and it's free so no expense to you :) Good luck whichever way you go!
TheKaratejesus Dota2's hero winrates in soloQ range from 61% to 48%, leagues varies from 55% to 45%, so in reality they are both equally balanced. BTW, ryze isnt even top 10. He has a 51% winrate, thats pretty "balanced".
SirusKing Ryze winrate hasn't hit 50% since s4, he is at 45% right now. Also, when pulling statistics its common to put the larger number last. E.g. 48%-61%, Etc.
SirusKing The heroes that do well in solo queue do not equate to heroes that are good in professional play. Any of the top winrate heroes are usually easily countered actually :P In contrast to the higher winrate heroes, the lower ones are often times incredibly difficult to play heroes (Tinker, Chen, Io) or heroes like Alchemist which now have some new ability that many people want to try out (and lose a lot with because they have never done it). Remember Bard's winrate? Or Kassadins?
This is peak form of Ryze reworks, the gameplay felt smooth and entertaining, all riot had to do was tweak his dmg/ratios and let players enjoy. His combo was not button smashing, spells had to be used in correct order or you would get cooldowns. It was something like q-w-q-e-q-w-+r & repeat but it only worked when he gained passive stacks. So that enemy players would always keep an eye like they do against Rengar ferocity. RIP season 5 Ryze, may you never be forgotten.
@@spooghetti5679 you'd think so if you never played it yourself, if I remember correctly the passive was every time you used a skill the other skills would lower the cooldown based on Q, therefore the combo was Q-E-Q-W-Q-R-Q-E-Q-W-Q if you messed up (for instance E-W-Q) then you'd end up having all skills on cooldown, honestly it was overpowered but if they tuned down the damage I'd say it was x100 times more fun and fluent to play
@@juli.s look at the 2 last clips. Singed and morde literally cant move. it was beyond broken and extremely unfun to play against a champ that can stunlock u then burst u from 100-0. and as other people commented hes not even fed in many of these clips.
This video is the reason why I started maining ryze. I hadn't played him much before seeing this video and after this rework but I hopped on the train and haven't turned back since.
I miss old Ryze so much. He was so cool and exotic looking, and if he got fed you had a blue monster destroying your team. I still don't get why they had to replace his ult with a teleport :S Perhaps I miss his ult sound the most. It still is that super scary sound you hear when a Ryze is going to go berserk on you and you better do something VERY quick or you are dead in 2 seconds.

Yes. Not only did they remove all depth and variety in his combos, but they also gave him an R that doesn't fit for two reasons: 1) Ryze players liked playing Ryze because he was a tanky DPS powerhouse that was very good at 1v1's. His team and assassin-oriented R contributes nothing in that vector. 2) Riot wanted to lower the gap between newbie Ryze players and top competitive (e.g. LCS) Ryze players, but his R can only be used to its potential by an organized team. Ryze's R is a nice ability and all, but they should have found some other champion to tack it onto. Ryze just doesn't feel like Ryze anymore.
Yo the champion is barely played right now cuz YES as you said they removed the tanky DPS ultimate 1v1 Ryze, they decreased the skill curve which i'm okay with.. but heavy removal of combos and variety was not ok.. removal of the no cooldown machine and the AoE master wasn't okay, too, if they wanna fix him they could make ult range a bit longer and make his ult have a passive and -for god's sake- make his Q deal some sort of AoE damage because right now if he can't land Q he can't deal damage
wtf they made him more difficult because you now have real combos. the old ryze was so strong and easy to play because you just had to spam everything. you even said in your comment that hes more difficult now. seems like youre just bad because you need much more skill for the new ryze
