Watching Tom McLaughlin work is always a pleasure and a privilege. Great video! Stunning work!
Love your quality of work...very inspirational!
Best woodworking channel on RUclips in my honest opinion.
Just perfect!
I know I'm a year late but thanks for taking the time to share this build with us Tom. I'm gearing up to build the wife a new dresser and was struggling a bit with the design of the carcass, but watching you build this dresser gave me the design tips I needed to come up with something that'll work. If mine turns out half as nice as yours I'll consider it a win 🙂
After working on a wood project in my shop all weekend, how satisfying to see this series reach completion. The craftsmanship is lovely.
Thank you!
Thanks for doing this series Tom. The final product was beautiful and I learned a lot too!
Beautiful work Tom and the Camera Lady. :-). This will make a good Alaska winter project. It probably never occurred to you two how much your videos kept a lot of us from losing our doggone minds last year. Thank you and God bless 🙏🏻.
Thank you. Brilliant work by all concerned. In front and behind the camera.
Excellent series. Thanks for sharing on RUclips.
This video makes me want to run to the shop and build something. Such an amazing series. Great production on the video, Ben. And Tom…masterful, inspiring work!
Absolutely incredible work, by Tom. I have enjoyed this series, but I love the ending of Tom and his mentor, P. A. Moore. What an inspiring journey of fine woodworking.
Great work Tom, as always! Or to put it this way, "Nice!"
Totally awesome Tom!
That trick with the board for planing drawer fronts is amazing. I'm forever trying to figure out the best way to hold them in my leg vise.
Excellent job, thank you
Great series,
Beautiful!!💜
Thank you. This is amazing.
Love it, great work Tom. Have been to every Shaker site in the northeast even the one behind you, obviously they turned but never saw what they turned on or what tools they used.
Nothing like the sun to keep you honest lol.
beautiful.
This is how the real woodworkers do it….comin soon..lol…
nice
Excelente trabalho, parabéns!🇧🇷
Nice work and great attention to detail…except how the drawer bottom miraculously appears in place after the sides are already glued? Would love to see how that happened.
The back of the drawer is narrower than the front and sides so that the bottom can slide in from the back after the drawer frame is assembled
Beautiful work, what model Jet Lathe are you using and do you like it? Also, what lathe tools do you use? I've watched several of your videos and am in awe of your work. Wish I could find more of them.
great build but I have a question regarding the drawer glides you installed on the top of the face frame they look like they not flush with frame the dust panels slide into? isn’t that throwing the drawer off or am I not seeing it correctly?
I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know which episode he showed making the face frames?
It was great to view this serie. Amazing skills.
I am wandering, if I would buy the Shakers book, is it then legally allowed to start building those cabinets myself and selling them? Or are the designs protected?
👍👍👍👍
Looks very nice. Do you seal inside the drawers? Thanks
love tongue oil finishes btw could you tell me the thickness of your side panels? are they 1” or 3/4”? thanks
Oil on the inside case.Done that mistake. It takes months to cure.
Never seen a bandsaw before with the throat on the right side of the blade.
With a little practice you could be really good.
