Interesting that you brought up Bruno's early days. When I lived in Hawaii we went to a Waikiki hotel showroom to catch a local band and part way through the set they bring out this 5 year old billed as the world's youngest Elvis impressionist. You guessed it, I saw Bruno perform at that age. So glad that he and Anderson .Paak brought retro cool, soul, R&B and Motown touches back into 2021. Great talent and showmanship.

"Leave The Door Open" Songwriters: Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, D'Mile, and Brody Brown Producers: Bruno Mars and D'Mile Music Video Directors: Bruno and Florent Dechard
Anderson is like a funky Phil Collins…drummer and vocalist. He’s also a talented producer and song writer. He and Bruno together is like a cheat code for making hit records. It’s almost unfair 😂
@d.c. That is true, this is the first video where he has not been behind the drum kit, he got some moves too!! Great voices and great style...smooooothhhhhh Thanks for watching
It’s amazing how the Temptations are the 1st group that comes to mind when they hear this. Just shows what an impression they made on the soul r&b male group genre, & of course, J-5. But music groove wise, & also their use of the glockenspiel (bells), this particular track is really much closer to the Philly soul sound, most prominent with the Philadelphia International artists like The Stylistics (Stop Look Listen, Betcha By Golly Wow), & Blue Magic (Side Show). Hopefully by now you’re aware that there’s a whole album out, as well as more live performances of this song & others that had been released in studio. The other great performance that they brought live was a track called ‘777’, which they performed while playing instruments @ Grammys 2022, with a Smokin twist on the arrangement.
Men of younger generations...this is what real "panty dropping" songs sound like - unlike what I hear in rap music of today. It's time to UP your game fellas...lol. When it comes to sex..."Men are like microwave ovens (Quick to start) and we women are like regular ovens (take time to heat up)". Fellas, if you want to up your game you need to engage our hearts and brains by making us yearn for you, show us you'll cherish what we share with you, and take the time to heat us up with some romancing vision through your sexy words. We are not VISUALLY turned on like you men are. We are turned on through your actions, words, touch. Check out the lyrics and vibe of this song...it brings all those points across!! We women want to run into this room with the door open after hearing BRUNO and ANDERSON paint such lovely moments of what can be. Everything in the studio is from the 1970s...the hair, sunglasses, mustaches, furnishings, carpets, colors, disco ball lights, equipment, instruments like the tambourine - even the reel-to-reel shown in the opening...all 70's vibe. The clothes they are wearing including on the girls, even the hairdos - vintage '70s. The "La la la la la" done by Bruno in the chorus and the "Woo Woo Woo" done by Anderson.Paak is a classic 1970's Motown sound as is the fade out of the song at the end. Although I am 63 years old and grew up with what I think was the best music of my generation, the 60's, 70's and 80's, I am still in my 30’s in my mind, heart, and spirit due to this kind of music. This song has such a great vibe!!!!! I sort of feel bad for the younger generations as most of their songs don’t evoke romance, yearning for someone, fantasizing of what could be… I sure am glad young folks are making such great music again and that younger people are getting the chance to listen and appreciate real singing.

Everything today is about instantaneous gratification which then leaves no room for true romance which is based on patience, yearning, desire, building the climax in your mind before in the body. Romance is what gets us girls off and in such spectacular ways that we NEVER forget the man or the moments even after 40 years.
