This was not a botched arrest. There was not even a crime committed. They straight up murdered this poor child, with absolutely no regard for life, joked about it, told each other to shake it off. Now theyll be shaking in their own cells.

Why would they care that it’s being recorded when 99% of the time nothing happens? They get fired and goto a different department or when prosecuted there is jury nullification.
In this case, we sure the system is working. These guys should never have been wearing a police uniform in the first place, but because standards are lowered in order to attract police applicants we see the results. But now they have been fired and they have been arrested and charged with homicide. they will now be tried in a court of law and Judge by people in their community.

Just because you don’t agree with the jury‘s verdict does it mean it’s straight notification. Often times people are protesting and screaming and shouting before the full body camera footage even comes out during past cases.
But I will tell you that I myself had become MORE sympathetic towards Police over the past maybe three years. I used to believe that Police should be fired or arrested at higher rates then they were back around 2011-ish. But as people start being radical and crazy with all their demands for so-called “police reform“ I’ve seen how ridiculous so many people are, and it’s made me rethink being aligned with these groups. While I obviously want to and the police misconduct and and racial bias and definitely white police to be held accountable appropriately, I become more sympathetic to them overall the false allegations or exaggerated allegations there’s so many people feel.

Unions were meant for blue collar trade labor workers. Not for people with LIFETIME local, county, state or federal gov't jobs. Workers who get laid off after the completion of a construction job.

We look at the advances made by hard-working men and women because of the union movement and you want to disband unions.? we also have to look at the fact that these police unions are involved with collective bargaining with the members of the political class. If you were going to disband unions, then you also have to look at disbanding the corrupt and entrenched political class that makes agreements with these unions. I have lived & worked in several countries and visited scores. Only in the US, China, and DRC have I been consistantly nervous, even afeared, when stopped by police, even over trivial traffic issues.

In the video from the pole camera, the paramedics showed up and didn't not call for their stretcher & ambulance for 20 minutes. They need to also be held accountable for their nonchalant attitude, which probably contributed to Mr. Nichols death.

How could these cops partake in such sadistic heinous violence toward another human being is just beyond comprehension. This is the kind of stuff that makes you not want to leave your own house, especially if you or another family member has a disability of any kind. It seems the most frequently targeted population for this behavior outside of 'do-gooder' human rights activists, with a nice heap of plausible deniability introduced into the equation. I have a body-wide tremor that makes me shake all the time. Even when I tell people this, they start asking me questions like, "Are you cold? Do you feel okay? Is something upsetting you?" Get it? People think you're mad, off, kuckoo, and I suspect police fall into that category of folks who would judge and prosecute you on the spot for that misjudgment. The more neurological input my brain receives, the more pronounced it gets, so charging in and shouting demands will get it to a 10 really fast. So will an extremely hot summer day, or just plain old tiredness. My emotional state is just one aspect of neurological input, and tiny sliver of one most days. But yes, throw that in there with five guys 3x my size? It ASTOUNDS ME that men like this believe their victims should just sit there and take it. My god, are we human? I don't recognize this species.
You're not safe in your 🏠 though. Brianna Taylor was gunned down in her own apartment. In another instance a cop went into the wrong apartment thinking it was hers and shot the guy watching TV in his own family room. I honestly debating on buying a unit in a residential cruise 🚢 to get away from this.

regarding the pole cameras, I am quite certain that anybody who lived in the area would know where the camera is and if they were being attacked would try to get there so that it would be recorded. And that's exactly what he did.
Cops should be tested on a monthly basis for drug use, alcoholism, phycological issues ranging from anger, hate and/or the sport of it.
Bam! Spot on! Back in the 80's our local police fought drug tests for years.
If you listen long enough, you would have heard them making up stories trying to justify their heinous behaviour. God help us all.

I was on my belly with hand cuffs on me. The cop walked up and kicked me in the face, breaking his foot. He then charged me with aggravated assault on a police office for my face breaking his foot.

I'm watching these videos of Tyre and I'm saying to myself I've seen this before recently but the media is acting as though nothing like this has happened since Rodney King, really, what about Elijah McClain or Ronald Green and I'm sure there are more.. as Ben Crump says I hope this is the blueprint on how to handle these criminal policies accountability is the only reform needed

It feels like they done this many times and was exactly what they were instructed to do, and everyone in the department knew what was happening. The culture of dishonesty and covering for other police lies leads to this. Police need to get rid of the idea that they know better than the law and the temporary politicians in charge, that is what creates the culture of dishonesty and covering for others that break the law.
I appreciate your humanity showing through while you're covering this story. It's hard not to cry tears of sorrow and anger. Truth be told, you're in a hard profession right now, where you're seeing the ugliness and violence that's threatening the stability of our country.

We need to defund the police
Chief /administration need to be questioned when investigated as to why they had a scorpion

That chief is on damage control. This is exactly what that unit was created to do. Intimidate the locals so they stay in line.

You don’t know what qualified immunity is. And it’s extremely frustrating that people don’t know, but I actually don’t even blame you at all. Sometimes you listen to people who are organizers of protest and they throw around the term qualified immunity in factually inaccurate ways. So while I don’t know exactly how you define qualified immunity, meaning what you think it is, I can pretty much get your application. I will tell you when it’s not. Qualified immunity has nothing to do with being able to bring criminal charges. Never. Qualified immunity also does not protect anybody from abuses that have been previously declared as abuses by the federal courts, or something that is so clearly an abuse that nobody needs to be told. Sometimes courts end up not coming out exactly as I think they should, the most on the right on this. The third thing that qualified immunity is not, it has nothing to do with forcing taxpayers to pay when a cop is sued rather than making the cop pay themselves.
It makes me suspicious of a so-called police reform movement that uses the term qualified immunity and it clearly an accurate way without wanting the police reform movement to be honest and accurate. It’s like so much of the movement cares more about a goal over truth. But when you’re just trying to be goal orientated instead of truthful, people stop trusting you.

Around 8:30 p.m. on January 7, at East Raines and Ross Road, Tyre Nichols was originally pulled over police said for reckless driving.
“Any other scorpion units pull over to East Raines and Ross for male running on foot,” said officers.
According to his family, Nichols began to run home once he thought his life was in danger.
