It's been 40 years since I've been on this coaster and still one of my favorite coaster memories. I think it makes a great use of space and I remember getting some good airtime on it.
I'm a new coaster enthusiast who lives in Washington, which is obviously a bit of a bummer due to the lack of coasters around here haha. I finally got the chance to go on this ride today, and I was really pleasantly surprised! There's straight up ejector airtime in the backseat, and the ride as a whole was a ton of fun. Glad to have at least one coaster around here I can look forward to riding!
I remember this ride I think it my my first legit real, big coaster and it was scary and cool looking wooden coaster that makes the Puyallup fair More fun I like to think of it as Washington equivalent to NYCs iconic coney island cyclone!!!!
iaint sorry not quite. Only because it's not near the most populated areas and to get there is a pain. With the cyclone, you just take the subway and you get there really fast
It's also pretty smooth. They grease the rails? Or something every year and it's gives a quite good ride. Especially given that it was built in 1935 with horses bring track pieces and them being placed with a ford model a!
I went on this coaster this year like 17 times because it was the only coaster open due to the other broken down due to a collision. Anyways the last time I rode it it was raining and a train got stuck so they pushed it back to the station which took almost 15 minutes. My mom wasn't fond of me and my dad riding it, but the coaster has great airtime it kinda felt like I was going to fly out of my seat the first time I rode it. I really like it because of its speed even though Washington isn't really a place for roller coasters as it is one of the oldest coasters I've ridden on.
I went on that when I was 11 and I was so scared. I've always been terrified of roller coasters and this one scared the crap out of me! And it still does I'm not going on that anytime soon.
I went on this a bit after I went on the extreme scream. So fun, my bestfriends sisters were crying though. I got the best picture ever. Them crying and me laughing
I think it’s cool that’s this is a permanent coaster at a state fair when all of the other rides are traveling rides, like the chairlift ride and the giant slide at the Ohio State Fair
this coaster only has buzz bars and no seat belts so you get lots of air time but, in the back you have seat belts because there is too much air time with out them. But if you go their you have to sit in the back you just get shot out of your seat on that first drop.
That guy is always there operating the coaster when I've been there, I wonder if he ever takes a day off when it's operating or if he's just always there?

I love roller coasters and I think I take for granted the fact that we have a permanent one in our town! I get to drive by this nearly every day!
People from Puyallup, refreshing
@@Saylesswashing14 gotta love Puyallup, I've lived here my whole life and I've worked at the fair
I love the look of this thing and it's awesome that they preserved the layout of the Scenic Railway.
I have not been on this ride for over 30 years! It was the one ride that made me always want to go back to the fair!
Went on this like 2-3 hours ago, it's awesome at night time!
The line is super long though, about an hour long.
Wow 😱

It looks like a very fun wooden coaster! Too bad there aren't more of them like this! Thanks for sharing! :-)
It is :D
:51 "Okay ready stand up!" That's what I heard the woman in the background saying.
Jacob Garland she said “okay ready hands up”
Lol
Jacob that's what I heard too lol.I was thinking...what? stand up in a roller coaster? lol
Lol I heard that too.
Everybody: Lol
Me: Lol
no one should stand up on a roller coasters.
Omg this ride would make you jump up and it feels like you about to jump off the ride
When I was on the ride. I went up like 2 inches in the air. Quite scary tbh
it’s not even that fast but the seats are so loose it’s literally terrifying
this was my first roller coaster EVER , and i am not a fan of roller coasters so this was a bit scary for me but very fun in general
The airtime is crazy!!!!
way
hi
Recently the ride takes your picture at 1:27 and surprisingly, they only cost $6! Most ride pictures are like $20+ so $6 was refreshing to see
Cool old-fashioned woodie!
This ride surprisingly delivers a massive amount of air time too. It's a small, but it's a very awesome ride.
Coaster at PNE Playland 2.0?

I. See. You. Everywhere.
@@kw6stheater539 that’s more of a 2.0 of Phoenix. This is like a lesser version of those two
Looks like it has a lot of good floater airtime hills.
Ah yes I remember this! First rollercoaster I ever rode, I screamed quite loud!
When I went:
Me before: hmmm, doesn't look that bad! Get me on!
Me after: GET ME OFF, GET ME OFFFFF! *Still great though*
At least it doesn’t look like it’s made out of pvc pipe that’s about to break like most fair coasters
I absolutely love this ride

Siamese Cat I feel ya, I thought I was gonna fly out
Siamese Cat Bruh I went on griffon Busch gardens I'm currently 11 and I love it.
I hate roller coasters, they're quite literally my number one fear, and when I was young my mom made me do this.
I still don't forgive her
I was in 3rd grade when I went on that, there was a 10 inch gap between me and the bar... I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA FLY THE F OUT
Legendary Matt IM SO SMALL I’M 4’8 AND WHEN I WANT ON IT I FLEW ALL THE WAY UP AND HIT MY STOMACH SO HARD I THOUGHT I WAS GUNNA THROW UP
SAME I WENT ON IT IN 3RD GRADE AND THERE WAS SOMUCH SPACE BETWEEN ME AND THE LAPBAR
It was recently Rebuilt in a 5 year staged project to replace the whole structure with New Wood.
I go on this ride all the time
Live not far from this. It’s a nice little coaster!
One of the better double out and backs.
I went on this a bit after I went on the extreme scream. So fun, my bestfriends sisters were crying though. I got the best picture ever. Them crying and me laughing
Wow! I'd love a chance to ride that!
Looks like a remarkably smooth ride for a woodie.
And a fair ride
It's not that smooth, especially compared to the wild cat
I went on this yesterday! 😄
The airtime on the 3rd drop is godly

This was my first wooden coaster
A lot of people tend to say “Oh, this copied that.” Even though this is older than anything comparable.
That 100 foot drop ride was amazing
......
Say sike rn
@@jasonhook3884 oh sorry wrong vid I was talking about the tremors ride at silverwood
@@jasonhook3884 the real height of this is about 55 feet
@@GR8GUYNo1 Hold the fuck on I went on that it’s that fucking high up??? then I can handle this wtf
This ride threw me and my mom up and to the left. I literally don’t know how people don’t regularly die on this

Don’t eat before you get on the rides because you might get sick 🤒 and you might have to stay home 🏠.
today i went to the fair and i went on this roller coaster and it was the first one i’ve been too and it was so fun but scary
Damn... great use of limited space.
Wild cat is scary there's like a sudden drop
Who would bring a freaking wooden coaster ride to a state fair?
Ilovethecatmarioshow they don’t bring it anywhere, it’s a permanent installation
… I’m going there on Sunday it is the spring puallup fair
I went on this ride just a day ago with my sister
Annnd I went to this one too
I've ridden this coaster many times without no problem so why did this make me dizzy? :)
They should give this ride an actual name.
We all call it the Classic Coaster in Puyallup
“Classic Coaster” is better than “The Coaster” (one of its original names)
I've been on this before
they look a little bit like train tracks but they are acshuly coaster tracks.
Totally not me trying to figure out where the hell RCDB sees a 63° drop...
The first turnaround drop. It’s the reason back row on this is so good
Hows the Airtime?
Great in the back, especially the drop right after the first turn around
It’s amazing I seem to get more ejector in the front and floater in the back
I passed out on this
Why diese it look like blue streak
does this coaster stays where he is located or does this thing travels??? if its traveling i'm like O.o
+YoloBoy 82 it's stayed out here in Washington since it was built
Puyallup, Washington State :D
It's really cool, it's our oldest ride (or one of them if I'm incorrect)
+Chibi Prussia I go there

“Ow, f*ck.”
my mom hates roller coasters.
I do too
It wasn't worth the wait. I waited for it for like 30-45 mins
MrNova1969 It's called an opinion, I'm sorry if it offends you.
MrMapleBar depends what day you go on, fast 5-10 minute line for me :)
They have copied off of Judge Roy Scream at six flags over texas
This opened more than 25 years before Six Flags Over Texas even existed...
besides the layouts aren't even similar
Looks like a cheap knockoff of Thunder Road at Carowinds.
It may look like it but sure as hell isnt a knockoff. This thing was made in 1935
