    If you continue to do Indian classical dances I would suggest to do small videos of the Film division of India on classical dances. Kathak and Odissi is there. The videos are ancient and basically made by the govt of India to spread knowledge of Indian culture so chances of copyright strikes are negligible. The videos are high quality in the sense the dancers are the maestros of their generation, the very cream of the crop. Sujata Mohapatra herself is a student of one of the greatest maestros, Kelucharan Mohapatra. Sujata is absolutely marvelous and an exlamplery dancer herself. Great reaction. Thank you for doing the classical videos. You are perhaps the only ones that do this. And you have set the bar high.

    Odissi is from Odisha, and the language of the state is called Odia. I know these can be rather confusing for a beginner. And yes, it has nothing to do with Bengal or Bengali. Please be clear of that. Although both states have their own rich cultures and tradition, historically, it is a fact that several aspects of Odisha's culture & language have been misappropriated to Bengal due to multiple reasons. This is a mess you do not want to get into. Now of course, things are much better with the universal availability of information.

Thanks for doing these kind videos you guys, it is not only educating you guys but a major chunk of Indians themselves who now know a little, very little about where they come from. Westernisation in culture is something bad happening rn in India, and I'm thankful that you guys are helping to counter it. PARADOXICAL!

    The pose at which she always paused.....those poses u'll always see in the carvings of every ancient temples in India ...
    And the oldest dance form not only in India but the whole world is bharatanatyam which originates from Tamil nadu... whoever told you odissi is the one , were not true.

    • @rmishra5983
      @rmishra5983 5 лет назад

      Odissi postures are only found in temples in Odisha, Bharat natyam has no similarity with Odissi, Kuchipudi has some similar movements due to the fact that Ganga kings ruled a part of Andhra also, so the inter mingling of the dance forms. Music accompaning Odissi dance is the classical Odissi sangeet, different from Carnatic and Hindustani classical music.
