Exactly. My sister is autistic and she still has the exact same worth and ability as anyone else, pitying them just makes them feel bad and feel different.
This is such a waste of resources on a cat. Sounds mean but it’s true. It’s a cat. It should have been put down.
This is an incredible lesson in disability. It isn’t a one size fits all thing. And overall we aren’t suffering. We just live our lives differently.

I used to say “mommy I want paralyzed kitties” but I ended up getting a kitten that’s not paralyzed. I still love cats and this is one of my favorite channels I watch about cats! Thanks for the great work if it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be getting a kitten or cat!

aw, as shown by Chloe, a lot of disabilities really don't affect survival too much, i mean heck, i know of a feral cat who has a blind eye, is partially death, and has a deformed/injured ear and they're doing perfectly fine, been around for quite a while too.

If you ever want to try a wheelchair again in the future, I'd recommend a design that uses swiveling rollers instead of fixed-direction wheels. If the wheels can quickly turn to face wherever it's being pulled, they can enjoy their full range of motion without any losses to their turn radius. Chloe seems to be doing just fine without one thanks to you, but who knows; another lil buddy that needs it might be lucky enough to meet you someday.

Mona Bahgat I would imagine you’d have to make it. A lot of veterinary products don’t exist. They have to make stuff on their own.

I just rescued a paralyzed kitten. We found her dragging herself into a storm drain. The vet isn't sure she will survive. But I'm caring for her and giving her love anyway. She's so loving.

Urban Realism She didn't make it. I'm disabled, and I got really attached to her. I really felt like she could understand what I go through. I really wanted to help her and show her that she deserves love. I hope that I made her last days happy. I miss her.

I kinda thought paralyzed cats were helpless and slow but man can Chloe move! I could watch her climb forever
It's also worth checking out Cassidy on TinyKittens here on youtube - he's another paralysed kitten, now cat, who like Chloe has decided he doesn't want wheelchairs and can get around fine on his own. He's adorable!
Cassidy lost his legs likely at birth when Mamma chewed them off instead of the umbilical cord. He is NOT paralysed. The lower legs are missing. Holy cow can he move and climb though! Love that muzzle puffs!
The question though is if it's morally right to keep these cats alive just because it makes people feel better when clearly they would not survive in the wild. I'm not sure it is.
As long a they're not suffering, it's all good in my opinion. As you can see they're active and want to live, they have no idea that they're disabled. These are domestic cats, so what would or would not happen in the wild is not a point of concern for them or for us.
+Matthew W you PETA or something? a lot of animals humans keep as pets wouldn't survive in the wild, especially small dogs like pugs, can you imagine a pack of pugs hunting down animals?

Honestly this video is a really great example of growth in terms of disability. Not just for chloe but for you in your attitude to her. Disabled people (and cats) don't need pity, they need to be in environments that support their needs and accept that just because they have extra needs doesn't mean they're any less worthy of having their needs met

The story of Chloe is so beautiful. Yr life is so beautiful, meaningful taking care of the difficult ones. This has given u a lot of experience in dealing n taking care of them. One can really enjoy n get an inner satisfaction n happiness when taking care of dogs/cats. It is a wonderful journey. Only those who love doing what u r doing can enjoy, be understanding, empathetic to taking care of these helpless creatures who depend on caring humans.

I will never forget the day I realized saving cats is what I needed to do. I was 15 and my mom was driving through the Dairy Queen parking lot when this cat came out of the woods dragging its back legs behind it. I cried and cried wanting to help it so bad but my mom didn’t care because she didn’t have the heart that I have. It traumatized me and 11 years later, it still haunts me yet drives me to do what I do now which is rescue cats and kittens. Since that day, I have never and will never leave a cat in need, behind.

This Christmas we rescued a cat from street, she was very thin and ill.
We called her Chloe. Now she is OK and fat! 🙂
OMG I would have so needed to see this Video 8 weeks ago. My 8 year old cat Petzi suffered a slipped disc. Some of the disc material shot into his spinal cord and caused nerve damage. As a result he was paralysed from the waist down - like Chloe. He spent 2 weeks in an animal hospital and received a lot of physio therapy, acupuncture, electro stimulation and a lot medication. Initially he wasn't even able to pee or poop by himself. My poor kitty was in shock and so was I. For me it was clear that I wanted to do everything to make him better. Unfortunately I learned that most cats in this situation are not given that chance and are usually put down. The animal hospital could only tell me of one other case where it took the cat 8 weeks to get better. This gave me hope. I took Petzi home and cared for him at home. After two weeks of home care with lots of physio and training he slowly started to move and than all of a sudden he was able to walk again. First he needed my help and support and than he did it all by himself. It is a little miracle. He is still incontinent and does his business all over the house. But I am hopeful that in time this will get better too. Bless you for taking on little Chloe and giving her a chance and so much love ❤️. Petzi had a wheel chair too. I threw it out after the first try on. He hated it 😂.

Im Sherrific because her mission is to save as many kittens as she can through fostering and if she adopts Chloe that will be less time she can put toward fostering. Kitten lady is a brave lady!

I am also a kitten fosterer and in Cyprus we find many injured kittens that end up paralysed :(
The vets always want to put them to sleep on the grounds that they have no control of their bowels and that this makes adoption impossible..

Bubble Inthepond Paralyzed cats with no control on bowel movements are hard to handle or to adopt, but I'd say to give them a chance. In Italy we have animal rescues that frequently rescue them, and keep them as "office cat", they're hard to adopt, especially the ones that have to be "squeezed"(but they're rare) as they require a lot of work, but killing them seems cruel to me. If their bodies function normally, you only have to clean them twice a day. Kittens have also more chances to recover control on body functions, with the right therapy.

I am disabled. I am not paralysed. But I have experienced people looking he me sadly or with pity. All I have to say is don't. Being disabled doesn't always mean we are in pain. It also d9esnt mean we are sad, or have it worse than anyone else. Yes I have my challenges. Yes I have survived abuse, pain, struggles. But I am also strong. I know what I can and can't do. I don't want pity. Same with animals. This kitty is happy. Living life and nothing stops her. She is just like all other cats except she has a few challenges that she faced.

And the reason is how kind you are I mean you didn't have to take Chloe's case but you did and when things for ruff you didn't step down instead you pushed forward and because of that you gave a kitten a home. This video is so heart warming! People need to understand that paralyzed kittens need homes too. They act just like normal kittens, other than they can’t move there hind legs. I am so inspired by what happened to Chloe! I will, from now on, have a different perspective on hurt or paralyzed animals!

Me too! I think most people decide not to get kittens/cats that are paralyzed because they think it may be too much, which I understand. Taking care of a paralyzed kitten definitely doesn’t seem like a walk in the park and I don’t think it is. I love this girls dedication to loving this poor kitten😍😍😢🐱 🐱

And there were few others who (based on their comments) thought kitten lady was a fraud.
Because they probably thought "Why does she get all the kittens and I dont?! 😡" and then they hit that dislike button out of jealousy.
It's because acupuncture is pseudoscientific and is animal abuse. I don't blame the uploader as she's just ignorant.

I do too, but the goal of fostering is to ALWAYS say goodbye! Hannah does her absolute best to teach this to every potential foster she can, even if it hurts to say goodbye
I know what you mean - but I trust that Hannah knows exactly what her limits are and she has to know and stick to them to be able to do the work she does. Also, I once fostered a kitty and was so bonded to him and he to me- I thought giving him up was going to hurt him - well that was my vanity. He still remembers me but he loves his new foster mom just the same if not more. Cats that receive love are very adaptable.

I adopted a paralysed kitten too! His name is Mauwa at the age of 5 months. It’s been such an amazing journey with him, we have had our ups and downs and now the guy has turned 17 months old. I just love him and can’t even imagine my life without him. 💖💖
