After all these years, even comparing it to the sequels, this game holds up pretty well.
This brings back good memories...And me crying as a child when I couldn’t beat Mecha-Godzilla
FR he was tough, I used to be a rager instead of a crier and I probably hit so much crap because of him. Then Orga was pretty strong too. I wonder what the 12th monster was that he didn't grab.

This is the best godzilla game, so many hours of fun playing with friends
You can play this game for a whole day and never gets old,it was so much fun playing with your friends ,destroying cities,playing on that free for all mode(i cant remember what it was called)ahh the memories,not to mention that when i was little i thought that alien broadcast was real and i would freak the fuck out XD

Does anybody else think it would have been awesome if you could destroy the forcefeild in monster island to find water which could go as deep as right below Godzilla's arms and there were a bunch of small islands with diffrent facilities and bases

Mechagodzilla blocks so often, but he can't block buildings! My favorite to play is probably Godzilla 90's; he's slightly slower than G2000, but hits a little harder.
I like rodan
I like Orga and Mecha King Chidorah. Rodan is fun to play though. A nice little dinodragon of death. I haven't played this in forever though. Haven't had my Gamecube in a long time. Destroyah was fun to play too but I think I used Mecha King Chidorah, Mechagodzilla, Orga and Rodan the most. I was 6 when this came out though so I was probably around 8-9 when I last played
Mechagodzilla. The plasma grenade is nice, however, those missiles are incredibly fun. I wish you could use them more than three times a battle. Besides, I’ve almost always leaned toward the JSDF/G-Force and their awesome military equipment. A quick disclaimer, I have the US GameCube version so sadly Kiryū isn’t in the game. Even if he was, I probably would have mained Mecha 2 when I first got the game, however, I totally would have switched to Kiryū in recent years.

Correct; Hedorah's a jerk who floats around and makes it so that energy recharging slows to a crawl. But if you have a beam attack, you can hit him and he pops into a burst of smog, re-enabling faster energy recharging.
SuperGodzillaGaming Hedorah's like the opposite of an energy pick up; after picking up an energy recharger, the auto-recharge gets faster for a period of time. Hedorah does the opposite.
I was nearly 15 min looking for Hedorah in that time and I just realized you gave the wrong timer

I use something called "AVerMedia Game Capture HD 2" and an external harddrive; the AVerMedia captures the gameplay, while the external harddrive saves the recordings. Both are sold separately and are pretty pricey.

Neat vid. It makes it easier to figure out some tactics since I'm not too used to the moveset. Aside from Mecha-G, Rodan gives me the most trouble because he's so aggressive with his attacks and grabs.

I plan on playing through as all the monsters from this version, then eventually doing the Xbox version after. You never see playthroughs of the Xbox version for some reason!

Do you know how to unlock Kiryu? I can tell you. Although you are kinda a genius and figured it out already.
Kiryu is only available on the Japanese Gamecube version & Xbox version, but he's pretty much unlocked the same way as all the other monsters
