To be honest. Partybox 310 is more than enough for small restaurant (this partybox can be heard from 2km) Ultimate is for big events for 150-200 guests reception or more
You would need 2 ultimates for a 200 person event

That lightshow not being synced perfectly in TWS is a dealbreaker for a speaker this price. Otherwise, I love it.
The light show is close enough to being in sync that it doesnt matter. I actually think it looks cooler to be slightly out of sync because its close enough to feel coherent.
@@hamsandwich1860 From what I saw, the Ultimate has the most out of sync lightshow of all partyboxes. Most of the time there is only a split second delay but sometimes it goes completely sideways to the point where both speakers show different lighting.
But like you said, some people may like it being a bit out of sync or just having shuffle on both speakers, I guess it could be nice for parties.
For me personally I would love it being 100% in sync for home listening.

Thank you for the video. I do have a question. Currently, I have two JBL 710 that I link in TWS mode. I connect to them via Bluetooth on my tablet and then screen cast my tablet to a projector or TV to play music videos for parties. I am strongly considering switching to two Ultimates, with more money than sense. But, you mentioned in your videos that in order to pair two together, that it is done over wifi. Would it be possible to stream the music from the table to the speakers and still cast videos to a TV or projector?

For me having a pair of those has more sense as you can get a true stereo sound not to mention a 3D Dolby Atmos high quality sound using WI-Fi and the subscription.
Ultimate doesn't have Dolby Atmos, it lacks upward firing drivers.
I have 2 JBL PRX1s. They costs about the same as the pair of Ultimates. I would love to compare them with each other. 🤔
PB 710 is roughly equivalent to PRX1, so Ultimate will probably be more powerful
@sonny9546 they are really close to each other on bluetooth. When I use a mixer I can make the PRX1 a little louder. But yes what I am seeing that the ultimate is probably going to be a little louder. LOL I might have to get 1 or 2 of them. LOL 🤣

@sonny9546 I am seeing that my 710s and the PRX1S are pretty close on bluetooth. But I have played with the eq and got the PRX1S playing pretty low. LOL I bet that ultimate is amazing!
@@shaneberckman PRX1 as a "punchy" bass and slightly deep, but under 45Hz there is nothing.
710 is focused on deep bass in bass boost 1 but not really punchy, Ultimate is punchy and deep at the same time, the bass is more complete, with better mids and highs.
bought my 2nd after experiencing my 1st. Nothing compares to this speaker, so I recommend getting 2 and calling it a day. I own 2 Gen 4 Soundboks as well.

You need to post an update regarding pairing. You don’t need WiFi. On the JBL One app, you set up a L/R stereo “group”. I imagine they will update to party mode, like the 710/310’s, but not yet.

at the one park by me, there are impromptu (and illegal) raves where ppl use these types of speakers.. thats who these are for
I don’t get constrained to the mfr. connection issues. Buy WiiMs for the amount of speakers you need and plug them out to mono each channel the way you want. Delay can be controlled and I can “pair” any speaker to any speaker…period. Wifi is a must anyway so there you go and you can use hi-resolution cloud sources too

the guy has always been a low-key jbl hater. either that or im just totally different because he feels like a 710 is overkill. i have 2 710s and still want more. even though i also own a PA setup that will blow my 710s out of the stratosphere. im getting 2 ultimates soon and keeping my 2 710s. why? because honestly so much easier to wheel out the partyboxes connect and jam out than it is to set up and tune my PA.

The JBL partyboxes are never an overkill for a regular freestanding house with anything but paper thin walls 😂

I've daydreamed about two Partybox Ultimate's at my events, but I then have to jolt myself back to reality. 😂 Completely impractical for my purposes, but I'm such a basshead and I'm really lovin' the light feature.

@@metalsadman Yeah it's supposed to be stereo which is why I think there are two woofers and two tweeters. I'm sure that GymCaddy has covered that in some other video.
I can tell you they can claim stereo all they want I went out and bought one of the 710s and it sounded great by itself but it’s not true stereo until you pair it with another speaker then TWS divides up the sound into true stereo so I went back the next day and bought the second 710 and it was a game changer and bottom line having 2 710s after tax came to $1490 because they were $685 each on sale with the party box ultimate being 1700 if I got two of them after tax it would’ve been $3672. However I could’ve got the 1000 party box because they had it on sale for $997 so after tax that probably would’ve ran me a little bit over two grand I’m happy with my 710s that’s plenty for my place of course I would love to have two of the ultimate but at $2185 more dollars than what I spent , I will pass lol 😂

I think if you consider the fact that buying 2 pb ultimates and setting them up in stereo in your home theatre will outcompete just about any home theatre setup you could buy, the price ofbthe pb ultimates are pretty reasonable. I dont care if somebody thinks their 100,000$ speaker setup in their home theatre is the bomb; i would bet alot of money that 2 pb ultimates connected in stereo is the superior system.
2 Ultimates can only produce stero sound. Proper home theater setup requires at least a 5.1 system.

I agree with you so much on this. When I connected my 710s and watched some movies on it, I was totally blown away. Perfect for those ground shaking movie scenes for a fraction of the price.
High end subwoofers can cost $5k each and here you just spend 2.4k on 2 Ultimates and they can do about 85-90% of what a high end HT can do.
And remember that the main purpose of the Ultimate is to play music, using it as A HT addition is just a bonus. $1200 may seem like a lot for Ultimate but if you think about it, it's actually a pretty good price in my opinion since it's such a flexible speaker with multiple uses.
Sony can't compete with that.
If you wanna make earthquakes within the entire neighbourhood then this is it.

4 jbl Partybox 110s i like to see how that stucks to each other and is it equal 1 ultimate to 1 jbl Partybox 310 and 2 110s
The ultimate can reach low freciencies that the 310 and 110 just dont reproduce, doesnt matter if you pair 4 smaller partyboxes, you will still miss those frecuencies, so if i was you i would choose 2 ultimates, you will get a way more powefull sound. (im spanish so my english is not so good)
Those 2 setups will both be very powerful. Add up the total surface area of the woofers to get a good metric to your question.

Connecting more than 2 speakers is essentially a downgrade in my opinion. You may fill the area better with sound but you lose the stereo separation. So I would always choose dual speaker setup over anything else.
What about the review of the Bose QC ultra? Is it coming?

Please Answar - I have PB Ultimate if I press side panel or any other plastic surface it little bit ( plastic sound ) its Normal ???
It's normal for bigger JBL speakers such as 710 and Ultimate. When I grab my 710s by the side panels I can often hear that plastic creaking sound.
You won't hear that sound when the speakers are playing audio though, cause there is internal wooden cabinet underneath the plastic shell.

But the overall sound of Ultimate is better, no doubt.

I live in a mobile home and I have two of the JBL 710 and they definitely kick ass L O L I will get two of the ultimate but with the after tax price of being close to $3700 when I got two of my JBL 710 for just under 1500 it was kind of a no-brainer and yes I would definitely put two JBL ultimate in my place if they were not so expensive because I am kind of insane that way lol and actually I do not have Wi-Fi at my place so it would not do me any good because I don’t like daisychaining you cannot get the app for the EQ to go into the Daisy chain speaker and with my 710 and there is a huge difference if I am using the EQ app or not in my opinion without the app the sound is a little flat without bringing up the lows and the highs I can only imagine how awesome a pair of JBL ultimate with the EQ app sound lol

I recently bought a 110 so the 710 could have a brother and even the 110 is good for a house setting, I never even have have raise it above 60% volume lol these partybox speakers are fricken awesome. I usually only play the 710 in the backyard and if I play it at full volume my entire Neighborhood can hear it. The shit is sick

In fact single Ultimate is still louder than two 710s.
When it comes to bass the difference is what you'd expect. Ultimate has maybe 25-30% more bass than 710

@@SPLSPECTRUM No. I was refering to single 710 vs Ultimate when talking about bass. I simply measured the surface area of the woofers and Ultimate has about 26% more than the single 710. But since Ultimate has subwoofers while 710 has ''just'' woofers the difference in reality might be larger.
Some say that even Single Ultimate has more bass than two 710s. I don't know if I believe that though. I want to buy Ultimate when it goes on sale and test it myself.
Bought the 710 first and i was blown away..... Me being such a bass head i bought the ultimate and man that thing is crazy i play both at the same time and they shakes the entire house... The neighbors across the street said they heard everything

It's a massive difference in size..... the ultimate has more bass and clarity and no distortion at max volume. Don't get me wrong the JBL 710 is no joke for it's size. But I do think the JBL 710 handles lower notes better in my opinion but overall the JBL ultimate is a monster. And also the JBL ultimate can run off of Wi-Fi signal and Bluetooth and Dolby Atmos is a game changer

@@orhankoula1781 number 1 the volume is not the same between the 2 at all..... number 2 you have to remember when you get them brand new there is a break in period for the woofers.... My personal experience between the 2 the ultimate is clearly the better of the 2... Ultimate has way more bass loudness and clarity
Unfortunately I do not have Wi-Fi because I would buy both of these if I did because to me one speaker just is kind of empty I already have two of the 710s right now I’m seeing the ultimate on sale for 1199 however with no Wi-Fi I cannot pair them in TWS so definitely the overuse of Wi-Fi is definitely irritating here instead of just having a TWS button on the back like the 710s also I hate how JBL limits you to only two speakers in TWS
Pretty sure you know this by now but you can pair both Ultimates together with bluetooth. Wi-fi is not needed.
And thanks to auracast we can FINALLY connect more than 2 speakers together wirelessly. Shame that only bluetooth 5.2 and newer supports it, so it still doesn't work on my 710s 😢
@@LukeR1M With the ultimate you have to have Wi-Fi to pair them they are different than the other speakers with my encores and my 710s I can use Bluetooth to pair them the ultimate does not have a TWS but in the back. That’s what I was told in the store and I looked on the back I didn’t see a TWS but I don’t know about what The other stuff is but I appreciate the info
@@honeybadger713 New speakers from JBL don't have TWS buttons cause they use different pairing protocol. This is also reason why old gen (like 310 and 710) can't connect to new gen speakers.
They are all connected via auracast and the button is on top panel now (it's like a triangle A button next to bluetooth button).
Also, from what people have said, you can set up L and R stereo mode in the app. No wi-fi needed.

Well I know the advertising. But it doesn't really match the reality. Sure, you can hear it from afar. But with what impact , feel and quality it is another story..
If you have a pair it surely helps...
But for larger spaces usually louder speakers are used including their own JBL pro series' speakers with loudness over 125db
@@orhankoula1781 Yes it's fine for a room between 25sq m. up to about 55 square meters or up to 600 SQ FT particularly if you have two of them.
Above that you loose the impactful Bass and feel. And I'm not even talking high ceilings or outdoor use.
