The titles are meant to be similar, as it's meant to be slightly similar/slightly different. Like the Zygons.
Harry doesn’t look into things like that. Shame. He says that it was poorly done and unintelligent. He’s dumb sometimes.
Ya know, that website that" claimed" Turmezistan exists is actually a forum where you roleplay as the leader of a fictional nation you yourself create. So even then that must have been inspired by the episode as seen by the fact that it has the Zygon's catchphrase as it's national motto.

I think the photo Easter egg should've been of the third doctor. Just because it would make more sense for UNIT to have a picture of him.
Clara, she's been acting increasingly inhuman and I'm not just referring to being a Zygon shapeshifter this episode. She barely seems to care about the people they meet in an episode and would rather make "clever" one-liners than help anyone. When she's sitting there watching the mistress obliterate unit agents one by one I was waiting for her to yawn, otherwise she couldn't have looked any more bored.
This doctor has turned into a bitter old man who is losing his touch with humanity, which could be a fun character arc. Clara is the wrong match for it though. He needs a strong empathic companion like Rose to help balance him out or maybe a tougher companion like Donna who will stand up to him and tell him he's wrong.
Michael Kenner not sure it matters anymore but I think that was ultimately the intention behind Clara’s Season 8/9 arc. That her and the Doctor’s relationship was gradually making them both act irrationally and having to go to such extremes JUST to fix it. While Hell Bent is quite poor received, that was atleast one of the points it made with her leaving, that they both couldn’t go on together anymore, that Clara was increasingly attempting to copy the Doctor which began to cloud her judgement and ultimate leads to her being just an unlikable character in general
I just realized something: WHY THE FUCK IS CLARA SAYING IN HER VOICEMAIL THAT SHE IS IN SPACE? First of all, wouldn't that be a bit odd for most people, as they don't know the Doctor exists and secondly, I don't think the Doctor likes this kind of stuff as it might ruin his privacy.
It would obviously just be taken as a joke to anyone who hears it.

timrob12 I don't see how that's relevant. Sure, there would be a few conspiracy nuts who wouldn't be taken seriously by anyone else, but the vast majority of people would assume that the ringtone is a joke, just like if anyone in the real world made the same type of ringtone.

Although I don't know British Police SOP, I know in the US (and in US military operations) it is prohibited under any circumstances to fire upon an apparently unarmed person (even if combatant) if they exit a church. Weird rule but true.

Did you ever notice that the modern unit soldiers, are crap all, compared to even the ones in David Tennants era - I mean seriously, the doctor was even shot by the trigger happy protectors of our planet... (first episode of the 3rd doctor's series); these guys (aside from the one major), didn't even let loose a single round, on camera, or off, all episode!!!
and that last scene at the end - with all the unit soldiers getting blasted by the Zygons - why the hell didn't they shoot fake Clara (or the real Clara for that matter), let alone the zygons, they had a good 8 seconds to blast the hell out the bastards - but noooo! they must have a director there, whose never left the office, and a bunch of rookies, because the last lot of efficient unit retired from service, for being over 70.
I remember a god damned 4th doctor episode, where UNIT was taking down Daleks (and I repeat, Daleks!!!) with god damned bolt action Le-enfields. with the idea of 'shoot the eyes, before you can even see its shell in the distance'.
And don't even get me started on the Brigadiers daughter - god what a disappointment - even the Brig, himself shot the master a few times before getting taken down - she had a full 10 seconds, and a fully loaded pistol at her side, to take down the extremely suspicious American cop. Thats not even counting the fact that she, the leader of UNIT, went to a town in America, where there had been obvious signs of a Zygon presence, without any backup whatsoever!!
Give me kill the moon any day, at least the kid killed something...

I don’t think UNIT actually killed any of the Daleks during Day of the Daleks. A guy from future just blew them all up while everyone retreated from the house. In fact in one of Big Finish’s “Unbound” timelines where the Doctor wasn’t present for the UNIT stories, 42 UNIT soldiers were apparently killed trying to take those three Daleks down.

It actually not unheard of for a Grave to be made and a coffin filled with whatever few remains can be recovered and bolstered up with Crap for the rest of the weight - Not all religions allow Cremation.

Because he actually knows nothing about Nixon. He only knows that the name is to be treated as a punchline. Low-hanging fruit that's there for all to feed off of, without a second thought. And probably that he was a Republican, which he's been programmed to automatically associate with evil war-mongering (even though the irl war-mongering has historically been fairly even on both sides of the aisle). And so the thinking is "That _must've_ been the case with Nixon! That one president that got sacked for... _something._ I dunno. Probably had something to do with war! And why should I bother looking into it? I'll just assume that if I have a negative thing to say, it probably applies to Richard Nixon."

He did have contact with the military during the War Machines so they would’ve at least had his appearance on file

But the visuals of The Doctor's guitar playing look fine for the style he's playing in, all that wow wow wow effect takes a lot hand waggling.
And I expect the My Sister grave was supposed to be ambiguous as to whether she was a Zygon or the original or some half-arsed tripe like that.
Otherwise quite accurate, if a bit of a downer, after last week it wasn't that bad.

OH MY GOD.
I actually disagree with you on this episode for once, While i do agree the small things do build up i wouldn't bring down the episode as far as you did in terms of score, Kill the moon was so ungodly bad I was expecting this episode to be the absolute worst of the season and considering how bad other episodes were that was saying alot. But the good writing overall and that twist at the end really took me by surprise, I'd say its probably my favorite of the season so far, unless Moffat ruins next weeks episode since him and Harness are writing that one.
Fair enough man, I don't mind you disagreeing, I just think a 4 is satisfactory for the episode. For me, it wasn't anything to go nuts over but it wasn't awful. There are elements that have more weight to what makes an episode good than others, but at the same time there are so many small things that could easily be rectified, and I feel it necessary when considering my opinion for the episode.

I like this two parter but that's more because of the second part which is much more serious and interesting. However the twist for this episode was great and the scenes with Kate in America are really well done and very convincing. What really let's this episode down is the lack of realism as you said. The scene with the missile strike on the village being aborted and the men outside the church were cheesy, predictable and unconvincing. The doctor disco thing was very cringe humor that didn't work tbh and Peters doctor should be of sarcastic humor and not silliness. The use of the Turmezistan country is also cringe and I can only think that they made up a country so that they didn't offend anyone. However, that would seem like a silly reason to do it as it makes the episode seem cringe and there's no point in being politically correct about the use of countries. I'd probably give this episode a 4 like you and the next part gets an 8 or 9.

This episode was sh$t. 1) I could care less about Osgood. Kate (another useless character) would've actually had an arc for hating The Doctor if Osgood really died. And 2) ALL those Unit Soldiers just followed the "woman" into the church without questioning ANYTHING? That's just balls writing.
Most of the points in the video feel like I'm watching a Cinema Sins video, which isn't a compliment.

Sorry but you're mistaken about Truth or Consequences. It is located in New Mexico and other bits of media have made reference to it. A recent example that comes to mind is the Outbreak event in Rainbow six siege.
Apparently Peter Capaldi is a guitarist. He used to be the singer and guitarist in a punk band in high school. I’m assuming he either wasn’t allowed to do his own guitar playing and had to wing it, or he’s not as skilled as what is playing.

I can't beleive that he didn't even comment on Osgood being miraculously alive, after being disintegrated in Death in Heaven. Even the writers seem to have forgotten that she was not only killed but turned to fucking dust in that episode.
Thats cause its the other Osgood so why would he bring it up?
@@ontos8534 One of them was still disintegrated though. In 'The Zygon Invasion' it's treated like that's the first time an Osgood has died, but it's not, because she was disintegrated by Missy a full season beforehand.

I was actually enjoying it until the “twist” came in and ‘uh oh everyone is a zygon now’ was basically the last 10 mins of the episode’. I understand how it makes sense but the “Clara being switched out” thing seems a little poor

To be fair I don't comment on that sort of thing because gender politics bores me to pieces. There are thousands of other youtubers bickering about their rights and I think I'd rather talk about what matters in doctor who - performances, story, special effects, cinematography, "gender representations" is an area I stay away from because it's just too frustrating to even discuss.

It starts from female characters treating their boyfriends like shit to the female companions like Clara making threats to hit them so hard that they will regenerate. I try to ignore it and enjoy the show but the stories have become so shitfull that have almost given up and I am an old school fan of over 40 years.

Uh, must disagree, many points u adresses are really nitpicking in my opinion, or i can get more fun out of it. At least i like the Design of the Zygons because it's the same out of the Classic series, so i like the consictancy of the Look. Also: i knew fast that some of the Maincast MUST be a Zygon (that the deal of an episode with shapeshifters) and Clara's was for me really predictable. Also.... "Evil Companion Twin" is a meme: Rose by Cassandra, Martha by the Sontarans and Amy in "lets kill hitler"
