I especially like how it uses low frequency calls like birds such as cassowaries, rather than some mashup of mammal sounds. Footfall sounds are a little overkill but that’s just a nitpick.
@@CrispyGamer15 pretty much yeah. While the JP Rexes are iconic, their design is more based what the animal was thought to look like in the late 80s and early 90s, but more evidence has been dug up and analysed since. Jurassic Park ended up creating a massive interest in dinosaurs and we now know more about them in the last several decades than we did over the prior two centuries since the word Dinosaur entered public consciousness.
Everything about this is amazingly up to date! Though the only critique I have is that it’s the not so barrel torso and the lack thereof meet in the base of the tail, T-Rex is observed to have a much rounder torso and the base of the tail is to be thicker to counter balance it all, shifting the center of gravity to the middle area of this creature when it walks.
Fantastic work. Love the low guttural sound of Rex, Gives me the chills, much more menacing than the bunch of different animal sounds. Only gripe is the ridges look rather large almost Carno horns, and seems like Rex should be pulling more weight.
Horns can be constructed with a lot of variation in length in all animals. It's hard to predict exactly how much the horn extended past the core, so some will construct it with longer horns than others.
I like how in your render you put the most recent data we have on the Rex. From the low sounds it makes to the lips at the mouth. It has a much more natural look to it. It also gives it a more bird like quality to it.
Guys, this is not a T-Rex. It's a TYRANNOSAUR, meaning it's not the official Rex we know and love, it's another member of its family, the tyrannosauridae. Looks like a Gorgosaurus or Albertosaurus.
Wow dinos with lips! well it makes sense, having your mouth exposed to the air is inefficient, unless you're a crocodile. I mean even today reptiles also have covered teeth
This looks like Saurian's realistic T-rex design, awesome job! The brow ridges kinda remind me of Carnotaurus. But the legs look a bit too stiff and straight for a bipedal 7 ton creature, shouldn't it have more of a bend in its legs?.. Although I know little about giant bipedal digitigrade locomotion so I could be wrong
Great walking design you've made, HOWEVER! I can't help mention that the T-rex's legs should be able to straighten out like that. They're always supposed to be partially bended due to it's bone structure. You made it's legs look human when they're lined out straight in mid walk. (something that it shouldn't have.) Other than that the whole the rest was great. I'm especially looking forward to Godzilla vs Shin part 2. (Especially as Godzilla vs Kong approaches after seeing that awesome trailer at last! I'm rooting for you G-Man!)
@@WobblyWorks That’s okay. I looked up the exhibit out of curiosity after you mentioned it. It’s touring world wide, so who knows, I might get to see it.
Todavía sigo esperando la segunda parte de shin godzilla VS Godzilla 2014 Se que tarda mucha hacer estos vídeos pero créeme que como yo hay gente que también está esperando
The sad thing about fossilisation is that soft tissue and other identifiable structures are very rarely preserved. Fossil evidence does indicate that there is skull ornamentation on certain animals, the only problem is trying to guess what that is without evidence.
T.rex had crests on the postorbital bone. It's a bit exaggerated in my model, but I think it's within reason. You can see them pretty clearly on the Victoria the trex model.
Something is wrong with me. What whatever I tried to raise was worthless. For years I have been trying to achieve what youtube is looking for, but I have not succeeded.. 😥
Think it’s amazing how you’re using the up to date tyrannosaurus look too, great work with this!
I especially like how it uses low frequency calls like birds such as cassowaries, rather than some mashup of mammal sounds. Footfall sounds are a little overkill but that’s just a nitpick.
So is this the more realistic version of the T. rex
@@CrispyGamer15 they have lips

@@ArtOfPaw lips are still very controversial. So a same model without lips would still be realistic
The ridges are like a Gorgo!
Ya, but other than that it's pretty accurate.
Yes, is very accurate but the ridges are more like a Gorgo, the ridges of the Rex are different
@@gabraptorr9230 I think a rex's point sideways instead forward, they're also flatter.
So that would make this a gorgonopsid and not a Tyranosorid
@@thatnoctutnallizard4600 By Gorgo, we mean Gorgosaurus.

I really like this! The sound effects of the Rex, the design. All of it is just great! Reminds me a lot of that newly built statue Fleshy.
The statue is for sue , an overgrown T. Rex , the normal T. Rex is couple of feet shorter and 1-2 tons lighter
That sound gives me some kind of chill. Such a dark sound
The cycle looks good, but I think it should walk heavier. It is a 6-8 ton bipedal monster.
Other than that pretty well done.
By heavier do you mean it should sound louder or do you mean it should seem like it’s pulling more weight
@@Indoraptoad yes it should be pulling more weight.
The biggest of T-Rexes weighed over 9 metric tons, like Scotty for example.
@@Badasspredator I agree to a certain extent
@@maximosaurus042nd yeah , the normal T. Rexes are 1-2 tons lighter ( 3 in Scotty's case ) and couple of feet shorter
