Great material! Many today would not recognize that whistle unless they are into history or trains. Notice the shot of 2 very different modes of transportation, with Big Boy chuffing down the tracks & a Robertson helicopter chasing along!

I don’t understand why they didn’t sell tickets for the passenger cars.
They could have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to aid in maintenance of this beast.
I would have paid a thousand to take an overnight trip!
The organization sponsoring said excursions is normally the one in charge of selling tickets.

We were following it, but the people on the road wouldn't outrun the train, so we barely got within a mile of it, got to see it in Barstow though.

Where is the council bluffs dance car and why isn’t it pulled by 4014
So I see big boy 4014 is running through Arizona but why is Challenger 3985 and UP Fef 844 not running with 4014
Riley Sanesh 3985 is sidelined right now
3985 has been retired as of January 2020, but 844 participated in the first excursion back in May.
