Ingredients Litti Chokha Recipe
Wheat Flour - 2 cup
Salt as per Taste
Carom Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Water
Sattu - 2 cup
Chopped Onion - 1 pcs
Chopped Ginger - 1/2 inch
Chopped Green Chilli - 3 Pcs
Chopped Garlic - 6 cloves
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Salt as per Taste
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
Carom Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Nigella Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Achar Masala - 1 tsp
Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp
Brinjal - 1 pcs
Tomato - 2 pcs
Green Chilli - 4 Pcs
Garlic - 7 cloves
Boiled Potato - 3 pcs
Chopped Onion - 1 pcs
Chopped Ginger
Chopped Green Chilli - 3 Pcs
Chopped Garlic
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Salt as per Taste
Mustard Oil - 1 tbsp
how to make Litti Chokha in a pressure cooker in 8 simple steps:
Litti Chokha Process :
Prepare the dough: Mix 2 cups of whole wheat flour, salt, and a pinch of ajwain. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
Prepare the stuffing: Mix 1 cup sattu, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp nigella seeds, ½ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp grated ginger, crushed garlic, salt, and a little water to form a thick stuffing.
Shape the littis: Divide the dough into balls, roll into discs, place the stuffing in the center, and seal them into round balls.
Cook in a cooker: Heat 1-2 tsp of Oil in the cooker. Add littis to the cooker.
Pressure cook: Close the lid without the pressure valve, cook on low heat for about 20-25 minutes, turning the littis halfway through.
Roast for crispness: Optionally, heat some ghee on a pan and roast the cooked littis for a few minutes until golden brown.
How to make Chokha for Litti:
Roast vegetables: Roast 1 Baingan, 2 tomatoes, and 2 boiled potatoes an open flame until charred and soft.
Mash and season: Peel and mash the vegetables, add chopped garlic, green chilies, mustard oil, and salt. Garnish with fresh coriander.
