Dang girl most people wade into Jinjer from the shallow end of the pool but you went and jumped off the high board into the deep end! That’s okay, you didn’t drown and you know now what a wonderful place is the world of Jinjer. Welcome! 😎🤘🏻
Jinjer is a fantastic talented band - I was lucky enough to see them live last year, and it was amazing. Tatiana, their front singer, had a great interview with the Charismatic Voice. They are from Ukraine, and are currently performing as cultural ambassadors for the country, raising awareness of their plight after the Russian invasion.
It's a nasty war, and I never felt so sorry for a whole country as I do Ukrain...its pleasing that ukrain is on the winning side of things but russia attacks civilians more and more they loose. It's sickening
@@alex.t8910 the whole country? Even the bits that were actually Russia till the 1920s? The bits full of Russians? The bits that had their democratically elected leader ousted by Obama and the EU in 2014? The bits that were promised autonoomy from Ukraine after that happened which was never given, and instead were warred upon by Ukraine since 2014? Those bits?
@@miff227 if im not wrong and you go further back around 1800 those bits were Ukrainian taken by Russia ?. Curiosity is the reason for this question, regardless of my Coloured jinjer sign! Well I guess we all can go long enough back and claim Country from each other. Denmark had at one time, a King who ruled England, Norway and parts of sweden, plus the part that is now Northern Germany
@@frankhermansen243 it's a fair question. With all these things it's really how the culture changes over time that makes a thing more one country than another. If those bits were ethnically Ukrainian still since 1800 etc, why did they overwhelmingly vote for Russia-leaning leaders for the last 20 odd years (as far back as I checked when I was checking), why were they so upset over the 2014 coup? Why did they fight for autonomy and vote for independence (which was then denied to them causing the current situation)? These also seem like fair questions. But who has been discussing these on MSM, or in parliaments etc?
@@miff227 Have no Clue, But I guess in a very corrupt part of the world both sides can claim fixed votes, if it dosent suit there situation and no one from the outside knows whats the truth.
Bami, what a nice reaction! Thank You! If You want to see something really amazing try Judgement and Punishment (One take vocal performance) by Jinjer.
great reaction .. they are a talented bunch and write great music, hope you react to a few more. Perennial Live at Wacken and Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev if you want a live setting. I speak Astronomy and Teacher Teacher official videos are epic.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Jinjer, I hope you keep on digging into this amazing group you won't be disappointed. buckle up and enjoy the ride :)
Welcome to Jinjer. Great reaction. 😀 For more suggestions, maybe check out "Perennial live at Wacken Open Air", "Retrospection live in Melbourne", "Cloud Factory official live video" and Tatiana's one take vocal of "Judgement and Punishment". Got to see them perform live back in December with a few other bands as well. Space of Variations, Malevolence, and P.O.D.
Welcome to Jinjer. I think the vocal technique you were referring to at the beginning is a "Slide". Tatiana is very good at it. Watch Pisces (Live Session, Napalm Records) she uses in the melodic sections of the song. It would make a great second reaction.
@@BamiRosie Tatiana does some very impressive slide-up work in "Teacher, Teacher". And there's a rap-style intro part in it if you want to hear her speech-like singing too. The drummer gets some astonishing patterns going, plus a section with great blast beats. Top song, top band.
Jinjer - Retrospection (Live in Melbourne) m.ruclips.net/video/KfugH4QN7cE/видео.html Get a taste of the band live. I was at this concert and this was phenomenal. One of their best. She starts the song in her native tongue, Russian. They are from Ukraine.
So the track goes perfectly with the video “Vortex” . The vortex or the black hole outside is what’s causing things inside the office or library they’re in to distort and fly around. Until the “vortex” gets so strong it’s pulling everything in towards it and sucking it in even the side of the building. So when the song gets to 6:05 that real low heavy gutteral growl Tati( the lead singer ) does, we are actually inside the black hole or vortex and that’s where we see the giant debri monster and the music is very heavy. Jinjer is talented, creative, and artists of the highest degree. My favorite band. Please continue to go down the Jinjer rabbithole and you will learn some things about art. Great reaction btw
I became a fan of them over the past year because of “Pisces.” They’re an incredible band and Tatiana is such an amazing vocalist. I saw them live this past December. I haven’t had as good of a time as I did there. A performance to check out that I’m sure a number of people have suggested is “Perennial” live at Wacken. However, the song that really made me understand their style is “Bad Water.” I checked out other songs of their’s looking for another “Pisces” but couldn’t find one. I found the official live video from Napalm Records of “Bad Water.” After watching it, I got it. Since then, I’ve checked out and rechecked out their songs. A song I wasn’t feeling for a while was “Judgment and Punishment.” As soon as I heard it live, I was sold on it. I’m still trying to take in as much as I can of them.
There's an incredible live performance of this song captured on RUclips if you'd like to witness how she handles these vocals live. It's from their Hellfest 2021 show performed live without an audience due to COVID.
Jinjer is a spectacular band! All Hail Queen Tati! "Perennial" Live at Wacken 2019 and "Who Is Gonna Be The One" - Live are great next steps. I like how you are one of the few reactors to be introduced to Jinjer with a song other than "Pisces".
@@maximus11400 - I agree. Also, I'm starting to think that Vortex is much better than Pisces as a gateway to the "rabbit hole" and therefore should become the first Jinjer song suggestion for the newbie reactors. 🙂
A bit late to see this and yeah the exact words "I wasn't expecting that" are uttered by at least half the people who react to Jinjer for the first time, with some variant being said by most of the rest. Ive been lucky enough to see them on stage twice and they are epic. I'll throw in my lot with the folks suggesting Perennial live at Wacken as a follow-up, but all the suggestions are great. You can just pick something at random off YT and be confident it's awesome. :) Eventually I'd suggest the video Home Back about their experiences when their hometown was caught in the 2014 war in eastern Ukraine that set the stage for the current invasion. It's rare in anti-war media that we have the opportunity to engage with the voices of ordinary people caught in a war zone expressed as their own authentic work rather than in support of the agenda of some platform or organization. That made the song significant even before the invasion and beyond the scope of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. It's well worth checking out the lyrics before hand. Subbed. Cheers!
Sleep paralysis demon--ouch. I'm sorry. I hope you've found relief from that. You got the"Pisces shock" reaction from Vortex! Excellent! Good perception. I'm a bit late to the party, but you got my sub, and I'll be looking for more of your reactions to Jinjer, my favorite band. Try "Someone's Daughter," the killer new track!
Very nice reaction. I like Jinjer so much. Next please please please react to Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) - Rule Of Nines [one take vocal] and or Spiritbox - Circle With Me [also one take vocal]. Please please please.
The surpirse factor now is gone so for now i'd skip "Pisces", which is still a really good song but it has a lot of that "surprise factor" imho. If you wanna react to more Jinjer for now i'd suggest: "perennial" (the live version at the wacken festival has millions of visual for a reason, do that instead of the offcial video) "teacher, teacher" (official video), "who is gonna be the one" (i'd suggest the live, version of that too, there's a video with million of videos, it's that one :D), and "judgment and punishment" (one take version).
Hello. Great reaction! I’m a big fan of Jinjer. I’m new to your channel but, I heard you say something about sleep paralysis. Do you have narcolepsy? Just curious.
Love this track. No one is ever ready for her vocals to do a 180 the first-time hearing Jinjer. If you're taking recommendations, I'll kindly suggest; ruclips.net/video/ibRKmBYRh-U/видео.html It's not metal, but it is different. I think you'll love the vocals in it. (No harsh vocals, I promise.🥰)
The Jinjer rock'n rollercoaster on full track! I recommend you Italian masters Flesgod Apocolypse song 'Monnalisa' ruclips.net/video/NYEhQDsOqiU/видео.html and Belphegor, (bloody) song: 'Conjuring the dead' ruclips.net/video/x09sTIjual8/видео.html
