      I think child r@pists deserve to be put in a wood chipper, but that's not how the law works. You can NOT sentence someone based on feelings. Judges sentence them based on what the state legislators say is appropriate, deter others from committing the same crime, and protecting the community. Some judges say punishment as well, but others say rehabilitation. Judge Schroeder is the longest sitting judge in WI. People vote for him because he is fair to both sides.
      I'm not sure why you think judges can hand down sentences based on what they think the defendant deserves. Then you would have judges handing out life sentences for fist fights (they can cause death, one could argue they have no reguard for human life )or death penalties for every murder.
      Judge Schroeder doesn't have dementia he can site case law without even using the computer most times. You're making a statement that is completely wrong.

    • @cb-pc1df
      @cb-pc1df 11 месяцев назад

      @Piet G. What is that supposed to mean? The Jury found Rittenhouse not guilty, not Judge Schroeder. 2y+2y+6y+life w/ parole eligibility after 40y.
    Credit for 1092 days served (almost exactly 3y). So minimum of 47y left (17,155 days) before eligible for parole.
    54 days good behavior time for each year sentenced (54x47= 2538 days)
    17,155 - 2538 = 14,617 days (40 years 15 days).

    This is just how this Judge operates 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes, he speaks at length, but he said in the trial that he does that specifically for the appeals court. This was not unexpected, and I enjoy the amount of edifying information he shares.

      It’s disgusting.

They had questions they wanted to clearly see, in the first 2 hours that was not even presented in trial! NOT to mention, the judge telling the lawyers to be quiet, stop, hurry up, finish up, you have 10 minutes, I have to leave for my wife's dr. Appointment etc. All the explanation he was given about everything, there was important information lost in all the madness that was this trial. Like how is a man, who's phone pinged in the area, who dumped rolled carpet, who the deceased owed money to & who showed up at the crime scene & spoke to officers before any info was released, not relevant? & this person showed up to ZAs house.
