Question for you, why does the NFL especially in playoff games, not make OT a full 10 minute quarter and whoever has the lead at the end is the winner? If no winner is decided, they can do another 10 minute sudden death quarter. That's what I would suggest.

If we at home can instantly see a replay in high def slow motion and know beyond a doubt the right call, there's no reason the booth couldn't do the same thing. The game that convinced me the NFL officiating was corrupt, was the NFC championship game between the Redskins and the 49ers. It was late in the game and the Redskins needed to keep their drive alive for a chance at a field goal to win the game. They went to forth down three times in a row. And all three times they did not make a first down on fourth down. The officiating called a penalty against the 49ers following each of the failed fourth down conversion attempts. One player was called for holding and wasn't anywhere near the play. What was the motive for the NFL to do this? Ronald Reagan was on national television stating he wanted the Redskins to win.

Mike I agree that something isn’t right with the officiating, but people are just now saying this. Last year in the AFC Championship game their were ALOT of missed calls. 1 of which was a holding call that was a touchdown for Cincinnati. Another call last year was when the chiefs won our challenge but we lost our timeout. The reason this happened was because Andy reed “called his timeout”. Everyone knows you can’t call back to back timeouts. This wouldn’t have mattered but at the end of the first half the Chiefs couldn’t stop the clock to kick a field goal, if you remember the chiefs lost by 3. I agree something isn’t right, but come on bengals. Don’t be sore losers about this.
Edit: I also think that Vegas and gambling has something to do with this. Also I’m not saying it’s just my team, all teams have been screwed by the refs in the playoffs.

What about the holding on chiefs on td run? Yes it was bad but didn’t go only bengals way. I’d personally like a war room officiating that buzzer in to make sure things are correct, but let’s face it you could call holding or pass interference on every day play.

I'm sick and tired of QBs running around then they get a personal foul called when someone hits them. The QBs have noticed this so they start doing fake slides because they know as soon as they slide and get hit they are getting a flag. So they get a few more yards or even a first down because they know a defender cant hit them, they can only "tag" them. Either let them run and get hit/ no slides, or dont let them run at all

Agree totally I even go further , had anyone questioned the the one handed catch which set up the first touchdown it would have resulted in the 49ers taking possession almost mid field as it was incomplete pass. 2nd touchdown got to give them. But the third touchdown the referees brought the ball into scoring position hitting the 49ers with three or 4 penalties in a row. And then the last touch down when Hurts running the edge of the sideline and gets physically knock out of bounds ,resulting in a personal foul unsportsman like . If you don't hit him chances are he walks a tight rope on the edge of field for a touchdown. Then when they do run it in for the score in the corner the defender trying to get out of the end zone to stop the touch down was being held. Im not really a sport fan or critic but even without a quarterback if it were not for the referees the Eagles barely beat the 49ers. In fact I believe the refs were told not to let the 49er defense win the game. Which is why some many penalties were called. And I doubt I'll even watch the Superbowl , It will be the hyped up eagles and the referees against the chiefs and a hobbling quarterback. Mahomes beware they will be playing like a bunch of thugs and try to hurt him.

agree that the game was awfully officiated. But, tbh, once purdy was gone, that was it. And, as for playing like thugs, that is just some salt you needed to share wth the internet bc 49rs lost. Eagles will play the game, and i doubt itll be thuglike or even that dirty. Tbh, i get the feeling the 49rs disapoint their fans a lot. The eyes closed interception in the super bowl comes to mind. Tho, hopefully, with Cristian McCaffery on their side, 49rs can really do some damage next year.

What I think you're missing is any change at any point in the game would likely change everything that happened in the rest of the game. IF they had called an incomplete pass on the supposed one handed catch, that would have changed everything and it's quite possible Purdy doesn't get hurt. IF Purdy doesn't get hurt, San Francisco wins. Then there's no reason for someone to potentially miss some calls or make some bad calls in the next game and Cincinnati wins.

First thought that went to mind ,deliberately tried to injure his opponent. Watching both games not giving a crap of who wins . I Thought the referees made sure Eagles won. I started thinking it was rigged when Peyton won the Super Bowl with the Broncos and retied.. Then again when Brady won with the Buccs in Florida... Then the following year the Rams won in LA shortly after becoming LA Rams again. Kind of obvious. A lot of the tackles and missed tackles look a little shady sometimes too.. Some players look like they're not even trying some times.. And it's not just because it got soft with the rules. Strange

Oh and that intentional grounding was behind the O Line in no way in the area of the receiver. You even said yourself, needs to cross the line of scrimmage.

That was a clear hold by Apple so they deserve the 1st down, that is a soft excuse for a roughing call that Burrow is asking for (maybe half a second and he definitely was trying to sell the contact), you want to call the ball bouncing 10+ yards in front of a receiver not grounding? I was at the game and witnessed two of the refs continuously slapping hands with bengals players. Bengals players were constantly on the field over the out of bounds line through the entire game.
They called everything against making it a shootout game. The over/under for the game was 48.5. It seemed like they tried to take off both chiefs touchdowns in the first half to keep the score low. And made multiple bad calls during the 2nd half to keep the score low.
