There’s 2 ways this band could go Mainstream. It could join the massive amount of Pop garbage and be lucrative. Or It could push Hard into progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion, Or Even Invent a new Hybrid of Progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion. I would Love to See the Later, Only because it goes against the Current Music Industry Trends. I can’t Stand Pop culture Music; it is Absolute Garbage, and Yet everyone praises it as an accomplishment. It’s Not! There’s a Severe Lack of Talent in MainStream Pop music.
It’s good to get paid for your Talent, but Don’t go down the path towards Selling Out! Always Call the Shots, Always make the decisions, Never Compromise! If you Join with a Label that is familiar with Progressive Rock and/Or Jazz Fusion, you will build a Huge Fan base. The Money will come later once you’re established.
Take a lesson in promotion from the greats like Rush, Yes, Halestorm, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, Tom Petty, Green day, Five Finger Death Punch, Winery Dogs, to name a few.
