I understand the psychological effect of the door policy, making almost everyone anxious to get in, thus the place very lucrative, but isn't it a bit ironic that in a city renowned for its "anything-goes" freedom, lots of people are bound to be rejected from a famous club just because they don't look right according to a bunch of bouncers, on totally subjective grounds.
If the people dress like "anything-goes" just for the Club, they surely wont get in

I stayed in a hostel about 300m from Berghain but I never bothered to even queue because I'm only 18 - and I look even younger. However had a great night at tresor and suicide circus anyway. Will come back in a few years time.

I‘ve been to Berghain. Yes its a very great place. But please stop making „getting in“ such a process, a goal and a big deal. The place is great, its an experience but not getting is not that big of a deal. There are plenty of other great clubs in Berlin.
non ne pas y rentrer est un gros probléme car y aller permet de danser longtemps avec des sets qui duraient au minimum 4h et on peut voir des gens qu'on connait. Et l'ambiance était particulière le dimanche et le lundi matin.
I have had the times in my life at Berghain. By far the best club I have been too. Simply love it!

@@lyriqnakeya8425 There is a ice cream shop where they sell coffees, apples, smoothies and sometimes they have sandwiches. By the wardrobes they sell some simple snacks. For the New Years parties the space is much bigger or they use a bigger part of the house than usual so in the space behind Laboratory they sell some food.

Ive been going to Berhain for 12 years now I am latino and I don't speak German but I never any problem getting in. Not random at all in my eyes.
I' VE BEEN THERE TWICE AND ALWAYS I HAD SO MUCH FUN I LIVED IN BERLIN FOR A YEAR TWO YEARS AGO AND IT WAS AMAZING I CAME BACK TWO WEEKS AGO AND IT WAS JUST FANTASTIC

SO what is it? A underground techno club? Or a fetisch club in wich you have to look a littel gay the get in? Sending visitors away on the base of there looks sounds like a ... GREAT thing to do. +Dougy doug Some of the other Berlin nightclubs say they have 80% tourists at times, and Berghain being one of the world's most famous, when you get in there, you can feel how authentic it is, because of the big contrast from all the touristy clubs. Tourists just don't go crazy the way Berghain goes crazy.
