Fantastic use of Ky natural resources! I grew up in Kentucky and was a caver, boater and trail rider there. Your videos have been the best.
    Thanks

I just discovered your channel the other day, I'm so inspired by you to build my own boat! Here in Scandinavia we use a push-pull tiller that you might find interesting. It gives you a lot more usable space in the boat when steering.

Thank you again for posting a haughtiness beautiful sail amongst the ghostly submerged Cypress Grove. Love your tiller and how you steer from the hull of your boat. Would like the GPS coordinates of the Jefferson creek and lake where you were sailing. I hope to visit this summer and experience peace and solitude like you do. Cheers !

There's something magical about a small sharpie skiff. It's the perfect fit for one human, like one man on horseback! The way that boat draws you closer and closer to the intimate environment and yet has all the elements of a sailing vessel - Very very Cool!! Bon Voyage(s), Grancrappy

Beautiful and relaxing as always! I was undecided whether or not to advance from kayaking to sailing after seeing a ten foot six boat I liked the look of. As you can see from the profile, it was after watching your video a few weeks ago, I thought why not!? you only live once. And just like that, my wife hates you!

Slapping a layer of mud on your legs surely looks ridiculous and feels odd but crazy enough it works quite well, and from experience i know that looking like you are a folkloric cryptid from the swamps is preferable to going crazy from legs itching beyond what words can describe. In my area they decided that the forests need to be more wet(used to be plantations where water levels was heavily regulated) which means a black sky of mosquito's everywhere you go there now. These bastards laugh at every repellent, but a thick layer of mud actually kept them at bay the most. Before going home i jumped into the water and swam for a bit till almost all the mud was gone.
After that straight on my bike, out of there!
    Warm greetings from the Netherlands.

Love the channel dude! Trying to zoom in on the videos and figure out your rigging. Looks so simple. I can’t figure out what’s keeping the boom against the mast? It doesn’t look like you have it tied off or a ring on there.

The rigging is about as simple as it gets. Main sheet is snap hooked to a traveler at the stern and runs through 2 blocks on the boom and down through a block on the DB trunk. It's just tension from the down haul line holding the boom to the mast (the sail will belly out a bit more on one tack). Down haul is a little funky, but it works. Halyard runs through a fairlead on the mast partner and back to a cleat on the DB trunk.
