This was wonderful! I've had a Windrider 17 for two years and haven't put her in the water. Thank you for sequencing the rigging and the unrigging for single handed sailing - very helpful. The camera angle was clear and your pace was efficient and relaxed. Safe sailing is no accident! I certainly appreciated the reminders about ramp etiquette too.
Thanks! Very instructive. I'm thinking about one of these. After watching this, I think I might be able to handle it. Thanks for taking the time to film and post it.
....very nice instructional video.....answers all the questions I had about rigging/derigging the Windrider.....there is a windrider for sale in the local area and I sure love to own it .....
When lifting my mast I raised the head of the mast on a 'hook' about 8' above the ground. I do this so my lifting line is not trying to compress the mast against the ball. But trying to push the mast up that hook to seat the base on the ball is a chore! You slid the mast while flat and seated the base on the ball first! After tensioning the lifting line (presume double braid) so it stretched a bit, you walked aft to check the rigging. You lifted the mast and it stayed raised. Did the tension of the lifting line hold the mast up. If not, how did you do this? Thanks for a great video
about 45 minutes for one person from trailer to water .my mast can be put up and taken down on or off the trailer with the a frame rig .just remember to twist the mast .

Thanks for showing us this and it would be great to see how your electric motor is mounted and connected...cheers.
Thank you this was so helpful, me and my dad are inexperienced sailors and couldn’t figure it out
