I love the new vortigaunt models, especially how they change their feet to be weird hooves to actually have an claws like their hands. I like how their middle hand actually moves. I really like how expressive the faces and how they added an extra little porthole on the side of the head. Only thing that I miss are the big fang sticking out of the mouth. That was just so adorable but I guess they wanted them to be omnivores cuz they have more human teeth now. I also like how they gave them an extra finger for their hands. So instead of two they have three so now they can actually grab things I would love to hear anybody's opinion on what they do and don't like about the new vortegon versus the old vortigan. It's a rare mix for beautiful music to be mixed with masterpiece of visuals. And touch your soul with mixed known/unkown emotions Now I can watch the visuals And listen to your music whenever, wherever I want!
The attention to detail in the facial expressions, like Freeman's when straining to pull the crowbar out and G-Man's when smacked in the nose with a crowbar; and the incredible transition at 1:29 was chilling, absolutely Valve-quality work. I know you'll probably never see this, but if I could make a suggestion: The scene at 1:05 was probably the most "out-of-place", or perhaps unrealistic? scene. If you were to make the vortigaunt's upper body get pulled back with Freeman's weight, with his arms flailing up as if falling, I think it would have made the scene much smoother.
I love how when you see some animations they feel more like older basic SFM but when you see specific animators like Mecha for example you can't help but feel genuinely proud of how far SFM2 has come. (Wait, holy shit I'm getting major deja vu from writing this, is this the guy who made that old train flick from a while back?)
