same. I wonder if they'll do it at my high school this year. I doubt they will, because they haven't done it the past two years I've been there. they bring in rcmp, students who are in air cadets, and make a bunch of speeches and have our minutes of silence.
my grandpa didn't like to wear a poppy on remembrance day because he thought why only recognize the soldiers in one day of the year he said to recognize them every day for what they do for us!
Exactly my point, which is why I think the "pittance of time" is a silly ritual. Every single day, without fail, I think about all I have and know that many people across the world would give anything to have these kinds of opportunities. But we didn't get these luxuries for nothing - we got them because of all the soldiers and volunteers who answered a call to arms and took a stand against injustice.
Logic Loaf I'm Canadian and I will always remember the soldiers who have fallen to give us Peace and Freedom my dad's dad was amor and the song just makes me remember the fallen soldiers that risk their life for us to be free
We listened to this everyday on Remembrance Day and my school would go to the graveyard in my city with a huge side for fallen veterans. It was a military history school. We’d lay flags on every single headstone, even one’s buried under snow. We had a ceremony there, our flags, bagpipe player. It was beautiful and I loved doing it. Too bad it’s closed now. :( But this song still makes my heart squeeze sooo much. 😭😭
+joebulls1 this is a video not a war but about the soldiers who have given their live to protect us and today is that day to respect them and have 2 minutes of silence
+Techno_Owl yeah... I'm sure Canaduh... was on the verge of "speaking" German or Russian or Italian in any of these pointless waste of life. I hate all those memorials big dumb lookin pieces of concrete & iron omg they are an eye sore. can we advance as humans or we going to stay in the passed?
On the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month, let us take the time to remember all those who participated in WW1 and WW2 in order to maintain peace all across the world as well as for all those men, especially loved ones, husbands, brothers and fathers who have lost there lives to do so. Thank you, soldiers. 🌹 #LESTWEFORGET
Every year I always hear this song on the 11th hour, on the 11th day and the 11th month. #LESTWEFORGET 🙏 Thank you, soldiers. 🌹 Annual check in. Those poor soldiers, husbands, fathers, friends, sons, brothers, family especially loved ones including those who never got to really exprience the true meaning of life but instead war in order to achieve peace for us all. 😔😭🌹🙏⛪⚰✊
Had to come back in 2021 for the ritual every single remeberence day straight from elementary to now grade 11 I still listen to this may those fallen soldiers R.I.P and their service never be forgotten 🌹
As an American veteran, I salute this song. This song not only speaks for Canada, it speaks for all veterans who have fought and died for their respective countries. I really wish my fellow countrymen felt as strongly as I do. This song brought tears to my eyes!
God damn, I’m 15. Back when I was in elementary, they showed this every year. I didn’t cry or anything like the other ppl, but this really gives me memories of a time long gone...
This was surprisingly easy to find. I was anticipating about an hour of resource searching... Thank You for that video, it played a large part in my life from the age of six and i can continue on this ritual for many more. (don't judge me)
Judge you?, not likely!. Your short comments show a fine character of self, no doubt learned from your parents and theirs also. Don't judge?, - no, never. Your brief words, 'from the age of six', say much, very much. Clearly, you are a product of your family, and, significantly, your family's very fine ancestry. Clearly, an ancestry to be proud of. 'Don't judge me'?, not likely!, NO, not ever, never.
Many people are like the man in the video, they just don't understand. I'm currently a air cadet in Canada and after 5 years I truly understand their sacrifice. All the times I stand at attention and salute to the Canada flag, knowing that they died for me to have a chance to do that. All of the friendship I've made and the hardships of military work. The felling of marching and being the commander for my city's Remembrance Day. I can say that I can truly die for my country. For I love Canada and I when Take arms and Think about all of the soldiers who died for us I know I'm doing the right thing
Pinkiechugamer I'm a Canadian royal air cadet it's my first year rank: Cadet almost LAC. I'm proud of myself and yeah I'm proud of the fellow air cadet squadron my squadron is 5 Cyclone
Royal Canadian air cadet, LAC, I can absolutely relate. This country may not be mine, but it's a shame to see that I, a foreigner am more patriotic then most Canadians.
I watch this video every year on Remembrance Day. It makes me emotional every time. It reminds me that not only have people sacrificed for us then, but soldiers are still risking their lives every day for us.
My old school played this every remembrance assembly and every single time I cried. I'm so happy I've finally found this since my class is organizing the remembrance assembly this year, i hope my teacher will use it!
Greg X and what do you do except try to ruin others people's day. Not trying yo be rude but you are probably a fat little child who is to stupid to see the sacrifice all the soldiers did for this great country
"glory of war" is that really what you think people are remembering these people for? War brings no glory, only death, people may have gone for glory, but it doesn't lessen the sacrifices they made.

Being Canadian, this video makes me proud of my country, keep up the good work peace keepers of Canada! Thank you to all you veterans who sacrificed your lives to fight for our freedom, you will never be forgotten. Never forget, take a pittance of time.
I was also a kid in an elementary school that showed this video every Remembrance Day. God how I took things for granted. I never really understood this song but this year it came to my mind for some reason. What a beautiful song.
I love this song so much cause of how Beautiful it is and in my school we would always sing to It and everyone cried so it wasn’t weird. Bless your soul and every single person that has fought in wars for us.
Lest We Forget As a Army Brat my father served in the Canadian Army and I was involved with the Army Cadet Corp. I'm also a Royal Canadian Legion Member have been since 2003, my brother is now been serving in the Royal Canadian Navy since 2002 but my grandfather was in the Army he was a D-Day Dodger (WW2) and many other member's of my family either married into the military or Served or are Serving the military at the moment but always The Royal Canadian Military
Lest we forget. Thank you to all the veterans and fighters who died within this period of time, for the peace we have. R.I.P. Great Grandpa. Thank you for all you did
My Dad was a Vetran and as I try and write my THANK YOU to all those who have served. I have tears flowing as I listen with respect. My Dad is now gone and I feel his arms surrounding his family saying I would serve again if it meant your freedom would be challenged. Well Dad thank you.
Today they show us this at school. I almost cried🤣. This is such a great story to teach us to remember the soldiers who fought for us. Happy remembrance day! And remember to respect.
My dad went to war, and I was lucky enough to get him back, but this song makes me cry just thinking about what might have happened. To all of you who said comments that were against this song, take a moment and think. If there weren't people to fight, nothing would be as we know it. We could all be living in a literal hell. These people do everything for us and without asking anything in return but respect. Come on.
It really fucks me up that many of these men were younger than me. Many hadn't grown facial hair yet, many hadn't kissed a partner, felt love true love, gotten married. I'm 20 and I'm so young, I can't imagine that some of these brave men were 17 and younger. As long as I'm alive I'll never forget the soldiers from the great wars and all our troops from wars beyond. Lest we forget 🕊️
It would be great if you would all view this from Terry Kelly’s official RUclips channel. They spent many thousands of dollars making this song and video for you all. It would be great for the artist and his team to make a tiny bit of money from the project. Thank-you for your support.
I live in Canada and my boyfriend just signed up for the Army. I'm ever so proud of him but I'm sitting here watching this video crying. What he is doing is no less then selfless. He is my hero my soldier my love and I'll stand beside him through it all. ♥️
My great grandfather fought in WW1, he was lucky and came back. I love this song, and I hope it will open the eyes of people who do not realize what Nov 11th honours.
I remember around the 6 grade? I saw this video and I was emotional while and after watching this. It sucked how one year I had the cold and it stuck how my condition was and I wanted to respect the day.
I am on old grizzled Vietnam Vet down here south of Canada and I am not ashamed to say that I weep every time I see this. Everyone needs to take a pittance of time to remember. We were all brothers in arms.
I remember one time in my school they brought a ww2 veteran on remembrance day and he told us his story of the war and I learned so much of what they went through
This video has something I've watched since 4th grade, 8 years later and this video still hurts my heart, 2 minutes will never be enough time for the sacrifices they made for us. Lest we forget.
I know for many including myself, during our childhood, every year we'd pay respects to these troops by listenting to this legendary song, espically back when we use to go to school, and it sort of became a symbol. May God bless all of them, and the lives that were lost. I remember, they'd play this all the time on the radio as a kid every year on Remembrance Day or at school. I moved back home, but I'll always have respect for those troops. How time flies, glad to see many still pay respects using this piece. Lest We Forget 🙏
Thank you Canada! I never forgot what your country did to save our Iranian hostages. I keep a Canadian flag in front of my TV. People come in to my house and ask why the Canadian flag. I remind them all. God bless you Canada.

I remember this as well., it so important to all of us., I played it for my 3 Grandchildren., and explained to them that many men and women who fought in the war and died.. Did it so freedom would be here for them and generations to come. Lest we Forget.,lest we forget
My great grandpa was in World War II he was born 1912 and I'm 10 gladly he didn't die in the war he died by getting drunk like in 1950s. It's sad on Remembrance Day cause they always show this video on assembly. And I'm in grade 5 so in grade 5 you learn about World War I and World War II I'm excited to learn cause it's interesting about why did it start or there are lots of questions but I also love Remembrance Day it's makes me happy and sad :( :) that is how I feel lol
We never talk about World War One because it wasn't a really big war for us here in Canada. Also this year we listened to highway of heroes. It's actually a very good song
You're very wrong, World War One was a very big war for those of us in Canada. WWI was the war that formed Canada as a nation, and allowed us to make our own decision in WW2 to enter it, instead of automatically being at war when England went to war. Vimy Ridge was one of the first allied victories in WWI and it was done by Canadians
Well if you think about it that all these solders were dads and uncles to others all had people who cared about them and to this day their sacrifice they made provided us with the freedom we all take for granted but if you think about what these soldiers did and as long as we don't forget about them this is why we have a day dedicated to them so we don't forget about them
My Grandpa was in the Royal Canadian Navy on the HMCS New Waterford during world war two. MY Great Uncle Al was on Juno beach. I never met them but if i did i would say thank you to them both and thanks to all the men and women who served For the Canadians British American all those soldiers who fought gave their lives so we can live in peace. I thank you. RIP
My friends a dad is in war my great grandpa was in war he died when he was 56 his dad was in war for a long time Im crying👼 my fairy god mother loves my family
Thanks great song My Dad served so did my uncles they all made it home Thank the good Lord Thanks to all the woman and Men who serve you all will be Blessed

Thank you Canada! I never forgot what your country did to save our Iranian hostages. I keep a Canadian flag in front of my TV. People come in to my house and ask why the Canadian flag. I remind them all. God bless you Canada.
Dr. Fastestinthewest ❤❤❤
Terry Kelly actually visited my school, thank you sir, and thank you to all the vets who served.
So proud to be Canadian
I know for many including myself, during our childhood, every year we'd pay respects to these troops by listenting to this legendary song, espically back when we use to go to school, and it sort of became a symbol.
May God bless all of them, and the lives that were lost. I remember, they'd play this all the time on the radio as a kid every year on Remembrance Day or at school. I moved back home, but I'll always have respect for those troops. How time flies, glad to see many still pay respects using this piece.
I've seen this video on each and every one of me school asmbleys from grade k to grade 6 I love the song to so I don't mind☺lets we for get ☺
14 years later its just as powerful. Thank you sir. Using it again and again.
I salute you, war veterans.
One of the best videos on RUclips. We should always remember those who served.
Who's here in 2021
It literally does not matter
Something’s shouldn’t change, and playing this song in all elementary schools should be one of them.
my school will show this tomorrow ...I'm basically practicing not to cry cause I would be really embarrassed..
U go to school on Remembrance Day ??
+Techno_Owl We have school in Canada on Remembrance Day
Claire Green that's what I do but it gets me every time😩
No shame in crying. It just shows respect and understanding.
I would watched this every November 11th in my old Elementary school in Canada... brings back memories
we shall not forget these heros who fought for our country
I remember this as well., it so important to all of us., I played it for my 3 Grandchildren., and explained to them that many men and women who fought in the war and died.. Did it so freedom would be here for them and generations to come.
Lest we Forget.,lest we forget
Still love to hear this
We shall never forget. The men and woman who fought for our freedom. And gave their lives for us. Lest we forget
My great grandpa was in World War II he was born 1912 and I'm 10 gladly he didn't die in the war he died by getting drunk like in 1950s. It's sad on Remembrance Day cause they always show this video on assembly. And I'm in grade 5 so in grade 5 you learn about World War I and World War II I'm excited to learn cause it's interesting about why did it start or there are lots of questions but I also love Remembrance Day it's makes me happy and sad :( :) that is how I feel lol
my whole school saw this on every assembly watched this ever since i was in kindergarten and now im in grade 5 my friends father was in the war once.
80sChannel at my school it was always played and I always cried (: (
but I'm glad I cried showing I cared
We never talk about World War One because it wasn't a really big war for us here in Canada. Also this year we listened to highway of heroes. It's actually a very good song
You're very wrong, World War One was a very big war for those of us in Canada. WWI was the war that formed Canada as a nation, and allowed us to make our own decision in WW2 to enter it, instead of automatically being at war when England went to war. Vimy Ridge was one of the first allied victories in WWI and it was done by Canadians
War Spite yea exactly
We used to watch this every remembrance day in Elementary. This made me cry on countless occasions.
Well if you think about it that all these solders were dads and uncles to others all had people who cared about them and to this day their sacrifice they made provided us with the freedom we all take for granted but if you think about what these soldiers did and as long as we don't forget about them this is why we have a day dedicated to them so we don't forget about them
Proud to be human.
