I’m so happy to see so many comments of people who still listen to this song from elementary school 🥹 it lives on in us and we will all continue to remember every year ❤
I tear up every year thinking of what my Uncles Sam & Ed went through overseas. So few younger ones know ... hard for me to express; where is the respect ?
At the 11th hour, the 11th minute, on the 11th day, on the 11th month. Remembrance Day - A Pittance of Time. A day & time where we pay our respects for all those that have fallen for us, who defended us, who saved many - who gave everything for our freedom & the world's freedom. Always & forever. Just like during our childhood days, here we are once again, listening to this song & tribuite as well as paying our respects. From childhood to now our adulthood, in peace may they rest. 🌹🙏
I've been loving and listening to this song since elementary school, nice to see others who have too. I am 21 now and it still never fails to make me cry. And the dad who refused to pay respects at first, always made everyone mad every year we watched it.
It's a shame the comments on the original video were turned off, because I always come back to this song to pay respects to our vets that lost their lives for our freedom, and will forever be thankful. 🥀Least we Forget💜
Listening to this song since elementary school, I was appalled that in my grade 12 year they suddenly cut the assembly short and skipped this song and highway of heroes. Had to listen to it on my own time ❤
Anyone else here to pay their respects every year like they always do? May God bless all of them, and the lives that were lost. I remember, they'd play this all the time on the radio as a kid every year on Remembrance Day. I moved back home, and no longer live in Canada, but I'll always have respect for those troops.
Once again, here we are, year after year, how time flies. A track that helped generations pay their respects to those who have fallen. A Remembrance day tribute for many.
I remember the first time watched this was probably grade 3 im 19 now and have remembered to return this year to this Digital monument, hopefully i will return next year as well. May they all rest in peace.
11:11 - A Pittance of Time, and a time for respect. For many this tribute was always done with this song espically when we were all kids every year. In Peace May they rest 🙏
This is a Childhood song, I've heard this since Kindergarden. Grade 8 now, Yet I still love this song, It is thanks to the Soldiers Canada is a free country. And without freedom, I don't think I'd be happy I was born Canadian, I'd hate to live in USA. For Canada is proud, free, and Kind, We have land thanks to these Soldiers, We have freedom, We have respect. World War ll And l were very hard to fight, It took courage to have your life on the line and still want to fight. I cry every time. This is why I would always thank any Soldiers I see, For Saving Our Country, For freeing it, For fighting to keep us safe. Yes 2 Minutes I will Take. Rest In Peace Soldiers, Our Found Protecters, Inspirations, Peacekeepers. Canada Is Beautiful #BEPROUDYOU'RECANADIAN
I listen to it almost every day. I am an American veteran. I've stood shoulder to shoulder with troops from all over the world. I'll fight for the wrongdoings regardless of location.
You should be proud of being a Canadian. There is no shame in to cry. I'm Eighty years old and I get a lump in my throat when the soldiers appear. I spent Thirty Eight years wearing The USAF uniform. My mother was born up in Nova Scotia.
One time he came to my school and if you didnt know already terry is blind, and my teacher may or may not have tried to offer him a handshake.. But nah terry is probably one of the most important canadian artists we have ❤️
I remember hearing this song every year on Remembrance Day during our assembly back in elementary school. I’m now in my 1st year of college and I still come back and listen to this song every year on November 11. Lest we forget! ❤
This song is an honour to all who fought in all wars for our freedom. Thank you just isn't enough to express who I feel. For my Uncle William who died in WWII...love you, and thank you so much! For those who don't give a Pittance of Time you should be ashamed.
I'm an American vet. We have our veterans day. It wasn't long ago that people spit at us for protecting their rights to do so. Its nice to have people treat us with respect again. Thanks for showing the respect the Canadian vets deserve.
I remember listening to this song in elementary school every single remembrance day and all the memories are rolling back in. Truly a beautiful song that gets me emotional every time. Thank you to all the heroes that risked their lives❤️
This video always makes me cry... it's brilliant and pays such honor to our veterans. I'm SO grateful for all they've done for me, for my country, for my freedom. They make me proud to be a Canadian, and I will never forget all that these people have done for me. Young men and women who've never even met me, who lost their loved ones, their friends, missed watching their children grow up, or meeting their grandchildren. They are REAL heroes.Thank you for your sacrifice. Lest we forget~
Terry Kelly came to my school and told us that this is a true story when he was at the store on remembrance day, it was great to meet him. I love this song.
I learned that via a wiki, and I felt quite bad as the little girl was clearly having the "I'm not sure this is a good idea" feeling towards it, I wish this never happens.

I'm an army cadet from Canada and I've been surrounded by military my whole life. One of my favourite things is marching with the military guys in the remembrance day parade. I love hearing the veterans story's afterwards in the legion.

Many times my friend. Its sad that most solider didn't make home to see their families during ww2 and ww1 or any war in history. May their souls rest in peace.
So incredible. When I was 12 I felt strongly about war and remembrance day, I said " Those soldiers chose to go to war, and they killed people. What about the innocents who were harmed" But I had an epiphany. My mind was convinced and I found a new respect for remembrance day and the honourable soldiers who fought to bring me freedom.
+Corbin Bishop Well, during world war 1, many soldiers were forced to fight overseas (conscription). However, aside from that fact. I don't think soldiers choose to go to war to kill innocent people for fun. I don't even think the soldiers want to go to war; however, they just want to defend their country, culture, freedom and values. In the end, its the government that's calling the shots whether we should go to war or not.
I'm from canada and I know about this song cus we play it every time on 11 11 and I hate to admit it but I cry every time and I'm in grade 6 😢😢😢😢😢😢 😟😟😟😟😦😦😦
I’ve been looking for this song for 6 years and I finally found it and it’s even better than I remembered it these soldiers will never be forgotten after what they did for our countries 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
I can’t thank veterans enough for what they did to make Canada what it is. I’ve been a soldier for 2 years and I don’t feel like a hero. Talking to my grand father was a treat because we could finally could tell me things from the war that he never told anyone. He always said it was a job to do and he would do it agin and again if he had to. And I feel the same way. I would give my life for my brothers and sisters in arms. The ones who never came home are the real heroes.
I always list to this song on rememberance day as well as Anzac Day Lest we forget we will remember them all , and the beautiful animals and thanks for those men and women who are serving in our beautiful country , lest we forget we will remember them all.
This song always makes me cry. Even in the middle of my school's remembrance day ceremony ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you to everyone that has served the awesome country that I live in, we will always remember you. I'd like to say thank you to my Great grandpa and my 4th cousin (3rd or 4th maybe?) John McCrea.
I have cried when I remember one kid I babysat who died fighting for our freedom. For Bob, ( the Candy man) you are at rest now. To my grandpa, this is for you. Love you all.
I was deeply moved by the video and ballad. This is the type of music that shaped my tastes. It's a wonderful tribute to veterans of our Allies. Thank you Terry Kelly.
I would have been balling each year when we play this song at school if I didn't want to be embarrassed (even though some tough people were crying) today I shed 1 tear... I had to
After a long shift today and not being able to do my 2 minutes of silence earlier today . I watched this video and cried like I usually do . Lest we forget
I believe I suggested this to my school when I was younger for remembrance day. They never ended up doing anything with that suggestions Would have been good to show during the assembly
I know this is meant for 11th November, but I believe it applies to ANZAC DAY as well, I believe it applies to EVERY DAY, we should ALL think, EVERY DAY about the sacrifice EVERY service person makes when he or she joins a military force, they are not only expected to give their time to the service, sometimes they are expected to give their life for their country. EVERYONE should stop and reflect on these two days in particular and remember those that made the sacrifice to go to war and defend our way of life, some giving THEIR life so we can live a better life. The 25th of April AND the 11th of November are the days WE set aside to remember those people, I am an ex serviceman, never went to war, but am still proud to have served my country, LEST WE FORGET, for I know I never will.
Every year since I was twelve I have stood at attention on November 11 and payed my respects with my cadet core at the town memorial. This year I will be part of the rifle guard that stands sentry through the day. It will be a tough job, but I don't mind, because it really is just a pittance of my time, it will never equal the sacrifice of those I will be remembering, and I can never hope to repay all I owe our veterans. Lest we forget.
my music teacher knows alot about terry kelly he went to a blind school yes terry is blind on the weekends they went out to rawdon ns and terry went to a farm... and they gave him the keys to the family truck and he drove it around in a field yes i copyd that from the desc from the orignal verson this is a good song

Powerful ... Thank you Mr. Kelly.
first heard this in elementary school, still come back to it every remembrance day.
I think about this song every remembrance day
Madison Walters same
Madison Walters me too
Listening to this song once again, lest we forget ❤

Thank you to everyone that has served the awesome country that I live in, we will always remember you.

Even if you don't agree with it, these people are saving our families and many foreign families. Be proud!
🇨🇦Today we remember 🇨🇦
Wonderful song, wonderful video! Than you so much, Terry!
Everyone willing to come home under a Canadian flag deserves respect
Lest we forget ❤
I would have been balling each year when we play this song at school if I didn't want to be embarrassed (even though some tough people were crying) today I shed 1 tear... I had to
Lest we forget, My grandfather is a veteran and he died three years ago, now i took his spot as a royal air cadet.

This song brings me back to sitting on the gym floor remember and stay assembly elementary gr1-8!
An amazing song about amazing people. Lest we forget.
This song was played when I was in grade three and I have never forgotten it I am now 22 and Planning to use to in a lesson for my education class
I believe I suggested this to my school when I was younger for remembrance day. They never ended up doing anything with that suggestions
Would have been good to show during the assembly
RIP---SFC Kristoffer Domeij We will never forget you or the sacrifice you made for your Country.

Song I play on remembrance for a decade and still to this day its hard not to tear up.
