I got one for Christmas 2018. I like it. I got a Winchester Model 1894 BB gun. It was made by Daisy for Winchester. Reminds me of my Daisy 1894 Spitten Image had as a kid.
I have the adult version, and I totally agree with you regarding the lengthening of the barrel. I would have been willing to pay the extra as well, and I'm sure many who have purchased the adult version might/would agree. In regard to the stock, I do like the fact that's it's longer, but should have kept the width the same. I find that when comparing it to the original rifle, it looks a tad odd. But that's me. And having the wider stock doesn't have much baring as to the feel and the performance. Going back to having a longer barrel, I believe that many adults, me included, would appreciate a bit more accuracy. The longer the barrel, the better the accuracy. When, as a kid, that didn't even come to mind. I was more into just having fun with the rifle and not concerned about the size of a grouping on a paper target. I am now, as I'm into air gunning. But, and there's always a but, for me, it's not overly important with the adult Red Ryder as it would be aesthetically, because as it stands, a longer barrel would balance it out, so to speak. Nice review. Much thanks.
Well said! Maybe one day they'll give us a true "Adult Long Rifle Edition" one can only hope. Appreciate you watching, and taking the time to comment. Much appreciated! 👍
At age 62, my first CO2 files were red rider. I purchase I will never part with my RR rifles. 💗 2 of each size. After watching the movie, I thought they would be a collector item. Red Rider keeps the production at max.

No problem, thanks for watching brother! 👍
I didn't know the stock was wider, I just thought it was longer. I learned something new today.
Now I need to go double check mine. Thanks Ron 🤠👍

Did they ever sell the adult stock separately to convert a standard gun when your kid got older?
I have seen a few offered in the "bay" factory as well as handmade examples.

Adult model = metal lever vs standard plastic lever. Weight difference with thicker, longer stock. Standard made in US ?
