For the bangs i would've given it to Amazon as the color was what you were expecting. I'm always kinda weary about buying things on tiktok, especially after seeing Safyia's video on the dresses she bought and the use of other creators videos and content.

Is it me or did Hope have the sheer leggings backwards in one of the try ones? The stitching looked different but if you pay attention, they're just switched back to front!
Also the ones on the left on the split screen looked so much better. They actually looked like she was wearing black shear nylons. The ones on the right looked so much more off.

You can pay with trusted third-party companies, including PayPal, Shopify, and Strip - I live in New Zealand and have had zero issues - If you look online it's always US articles that say it's not a legitimate way to shop and I think that's because America has a negative and unfair opinion on China

It wouldn’t have impacted the outcome though, and re the bangs she said TikTok for the packaging as they were the same product, just ended up hanging up the blonde ones.

The bangs were the exact same but different colors, Tiktok was cheaper so the point went to Tiktok. For the rip off calender, she misspoke. She accidently said amazon in the voiceover, while in the video shes putting it on the TikTok side. If you go back in the video, she says TikTok's rip off calender was $35 and Amazon's rip off calender was $40. So nothing was rigged or anything lol.

Hi Hope! Usually, you can get hair tensile when getting you hair done (I can at least) and it's usually supposed to be super long to cut to the right length of your hair.
I think one big reason I always go Amazon is the quick shipping but also the ease of returns- they make it so easy with no fees. I always worry other places have hidden return charges.
Well, she did explain that TikTok has free shipping,comes in two or three days, and has free returns and also if it’s not free shipping it’s like $2
@@happyxella_ I know but a lot of comments say they’ve never seen shipping under 8 bucks and it’s always taken weeks. I’ve also had many places have free returns **less a 10% restocking fee. Like it’s in the fine print. I think amazon is transparent about the shipping speed which I like. But hey maybe TikTok will really come thru as comparable and it’s really only time before ppl like me trust it. New is often hard 🤷🏼♀️

When 2 items are the same from 2 different stores it's likely that both companies did 'drop shipping' from a bigger manufacturer. This allows multiple company's to sell the same product. The larger manufacturer basically ships them out for you, meaning that both sellers don't have to directly do the shipping, they just have to promote the item and get back to the manufacturer with your contact/shipping details. It's very interesting.
but how can the tiktok stuff be so cheap? that is absurd, an umidfier can't cost 8 dollars

@@gisela_oliveiraDrop shipping is really cheap. They add a lot of extra money to profit more. The 8 bucks one is similar in price to Aliexpress (and it probably means the people that made them weren’t paid well)

I have a speculation regarding the differences between that wand on Amazon and TikTok. It seems that Amazon, having rights to the Harry Potter intellectual property, may have engaged a manufacturing partner in China to produce the wand at a cost of possibly only $5. Upon seeing Amazon selling it for $60, the manufacturing partner decided to sell it independently for $30. However, to avoid intellectual property disputes, they fabricated various backgrounds. In reality, these two products might originate from the same factory, possibly even the same production line.
Hold up- I had someone ask for that humidifier so I know there are dozens sold on Amazon and they start at $19.99. So did Hope look for the most expensive one on Amazon? Something is off.

I got scammed twice on tik tok shop and I also paid more than $2 for shipping on a few items and it took everything about 2 weeks at the earliest . But tik tok shop do be having so good deals.. just be careful of the ‘ too good to be true ‘ ads like the $20 Stanley cups that ppl are saying they got scammed out of.

As a regular amazon shopper, I can see you purposely picked the higher priced listings. Also let's be real, if they're the same item, it's because both sites got the items drop shipped from temu or ali express for like 2 cents. At the end of the day, when Tik Tok has your credit card information, you've lost.

This feels like resale of wholesale items with different profit margins. At best, it might be a seller adjusting their prices based on a platform's policies.

It sort of is. Whenever I find things like this my first instinct is to check Ali express, because it’s almost always from there. A good example is those “fresh juice” blender bottles, all from Ali express but resellers mark them up massively. I’m tempted to go and find the products in this video on there.

When you decide based on price you should also mention which products & what amount for shipping, if any, there was. I know you mentioned this & delivery time but sometimes shipping prices and delivery times really make the difference if the product is the same

There were a couple times when she seemed a lit unreasonable and biased towards Tik Tok (cough the bangs were the wrong color cough) and the products that she got from Amazon, if you look, can be found a good bit cheaper than what she paid.

I'm finding the opposite issue between Etsy and Amazon. Exact duplicates, ads and all, are all over Etsy under different sellers for the same product found on Amazon, but at a (usually) significantly higher price.
Why I hate shopping on etsy. It's supposed to be for niche, handmade products, but its basically all just resold crap now. I really only buy patterns on etsy.

Most of the amazon products are also sold for cheaper on shein by the way 🙃 they're all the same manufacturers drop shipped out to different "company" names and sold through the seller sites at different prices as they know people will pay more on amazon as they "trust" it more even though they are normally the same item.
Most are also sold by Ali Express even cheaper. So probably where they all buy from.

I've been charged £8 for shipping from Tiktock so I won't buy from there especially if it's a really cheap item xx
You have to spend like 20-30 for free shipping. It can be between multiple shops but sometimes you get free shipping just because, but tiktok sets up shipping and costs for sellers and shops. Shops can’t control it or offer it cheaper so best way is to get mutilple items at once to get free shipping over a certain price point.
